Another question. I have a buggy behaviour in Android Auto. If I have Spotify playing and Google Maps navigation running with audio guidance, then the music stream stop after the first voice prompt from Google Maps. In Spotify it still shows as playing (both on the unit and on my phone). No issues with Spotify if I have Google Maps sound muted. Have you the same experience?

Anyway, I don't think this is related to the radio unit but more of an Android Auto problem itself. Android Auto has a lot of bugs sometimes. For example : I have my Google Maps night/day mode always on "'Night mode" but every time I start the car, I must switch my headlights on and off to have my maps in "Night mode" while it should be always in "Night mode" according to my setting. Never had this problem before tho. Let's see if future updates will cover all that. Salute ! 🤟🏼

Hi, you're welcome ! After I found my car out of battery, I did some measurements and tests myself (I'm an electronics engineer) then talked with the brand's engineering team and we found this wire solution.
They are connected by default ! Parking sensors are "wired" on the CAN bus of vehicles. Every time you have the sensors enabled (rear mode or with the "P" button) you'll have an animation on the screen associated with them as for the Climatronic (4:16)

On the cable that you cut, could you be more specific as to which function did it have on the stock VW units and why is it safe to cut? What about the audio quality after the replacement? First question : You have the answer in the video (texts), two of em are the radio cables and the third is the OEM GPS (I don’t use the one show in the start of the video). Second question : I didn't connect a microphone, there's one built-in (as said in the video and description). If you want to add one, there's a connection at the back of the unit. But after checking the VW and head unit electronic schematic I needed to cut it. You don’t necessarily need to do that, it’s in my specific case as I said in the video. Sixth question : The audio quality is perfect (again you have a moment where I put songs at the end of the video and in the description I say that it's a Hi-Fi DSP), but it depends on the speakers you have (I have stock), the head unit doesn’t change much of a thing if the speakers are bad but stock VW speakers are always fire and clean !
