Growing up in Southern New Mexico, my fondest memories are full of light. Setting up the luminaires all around the neighborhood is a wonderful memory. I'm old enough that real candles had to be placed in the bags and then lit. How beautiful.
My husband was stationed in Germany (Bavaria area) in 1972 and I LOVED Christmas there. My favorite was the Nuremburg Christmas market and Lebkucken. Happy Memories. We were there 3.5 years. Merry Christmas
I remember my parents would spend a lot of money on Christmas for us 3 children. One year I received this teal pleated skirt and matching sweater. I was in high school. I loved that outfit and wore it all the time. It was the prettiest present that I can ever remember. I’m 72 now and have never forgotten.

My favorite Christmas memory is from the year we bought my dad a three-wheeled bike. He has MS and had lost a great deal of his independence. The look on his face as he rode around was sheer joy! Merry Christmas!
My husband got to come home for the first time since January, but he left today so kinda glad/kinda sad. But, I love your channel and I hope you know how much your videos mean to me. Something constant for every day as they today! My favorite Christmas memory is when my parents came to Maine from Alabama. Our neighbors came on Christmas Eve. This Christmas my daughter did a video chat with me so I could see my grandchildren (ages 8 and twins 3) open presents on Christmas day for the first time ever! Best Christmas present I have ever received!
Merry Christmas Pat & Greg, My husband and I are by ourselves too. We did not get together with the family but we did Zoom this morning with my 4 children and their spouses and my 11 grandkids. We zoomed opening presents. Trying to make it as normal as we could for the children. Thank you for all you do. Have a very Merry Christmas.
With children in the house Christmas is always memorable. The excitement when they wake up on Christmas morning and see what Santa has brought even when we had just gone to bed is precious..we finally had to make a rule that if they get up before 6 AM, they could do stockings ad Santa presents but no gifts . That was only a partial solution Since invariably someone would need to share. I miss those days, but now some are repeating the routine with their little ones. Happy memories.

Because of you my husband and I look at stroop waffles as a special treat! Unfortunately Santa couldn’t bring any this year due to our direct exposure to COVID when visiting our great niece. This past week we have had to stop all shopping so that we could quarantine. That’s ok! The stroop waffles can be a special treat in the New Year! Cold sunny day here in northwest Illinois. My favorite memory was the year I went to Virginia to spend Christmas with my "second Mom", an older lady who I met online and she adopted me as her third daughter. My parents had passed and she didn't want me to be alone. We wore match Christmas jammies, opened presents, and cross stitched the day away while binge watching Gilmore Girls. It was so much fun.

Taking time out to reach out to people at this time, during this global event, where people make the difficult decision to stay apart, which is a gift that some people do not even recognize as a selfless gift.

I'm in Chocowinity, North Carolina and we almost never get snow, but we had some hominy snow this morning for a little bit. It didn't stick, but was fun to watch!
My favorite childhood memory of my Mom's paper mache Manager Scene! It always set on top of the TV and it had a music box in it that played Silent Night. I loved that Manager Scene reminding me of the Reason for the Season of Christ's birth and it was my favorite thing at Christmas. I'm loving the serendipity bag and xstitch designs n colors, not to mention the wonderful quilt pattern. Make a wish is a wonderful organization. I had a friend who's son had a bad heart and they were great making a special day for him before he passed away. My word for 2021 is Peace. Peace of mind. Keeping things simple, orderly and peaceful in my life this next year, even if the world around me is in chaos. Norm is VERY handsome in Blue. : ) Looks like your stocked up on snacks for awhile... We recently acquired an Aldi's grocery store here in town (I'd never heard of one prior to this). It's a small store, but has a few things other stores don't have. They have several Winternacht items! I got the wafer cookies almost like yours, a Cherry Stollen & the Butter Spekulatius (butter cookies). Wished I would have gotten those ginger cookies, too :) You just look wonderful today! Hat & what a beautiful sweater :) Also, so happy to see that Norm now has a little friend!!! just the two of us today, but it's our normal since our kids spend Christmas day as their family day...Christmas eve is our big celebration...my daughter's family came over yesterday, they brought their own heater, we have one, we sat on the patio for over an hour, so we were safe, my son and family have littler kids, we did facetime, watching present opening...thankful for Facetime. It could make a hugh impact on their day. My favortie Christmas memory is my Mom teaching me to make paper snowflakes that were hung in our windows. My Mom has been gone for a decade now & with each day that passes I realize how much she taught me about life & to appreciate the little things.
My memory is my fourth Christmas. Santa Claus ,came to deliver the presents...my twin brother & I were thrilled. I don’t remember what he got but I got an ironing board & a “working” iron! MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM KANSAS. We had a foreign exchange student one year from Germany and her mother and grandmother send a care package for all of us and we had what you just showed and more in the chocolate end of it too. Your nails do look pretty , I use the same kind of nails and wear them a long time, before taking them off, with all the hand washing we are doing. Could not figure how so many people had designs that were cool, until a friend told me that they use the same thing. Will be ordering those the next time. See you on Saturday?
We are from Wisconsin but we were stationed in Altus, Oklahoma (my husband was in the Air Force). We are used to cold weather and snow for Christmas. Oklahoma has warm sunny days for Christmas. So, there we were, no family nearby, no white Christmas snow, feeling lonely and homesick when there was a knock on the door. A group of friends from the base and from the school I was teaching at, came to carol for us and share some Christmas goodies. It turned out to be a lovely and happy day!
