That’s a great idea. ONE BLOCK.... when I get that urge seeing a new pattern...just make one block. If I like, can continue. If that gets it out of my system, that’s good too. Not stress over it. I will use it for something.
I had a lot of tops, too, but I've used quite a few for backs of quilts by adding some wide borders. It saves the cost of the batting (one batting for two tops) and the cost of backing fabric and it clears out some storage space. The bonus is a reversible quilt. Makes me happy!
Oh you could make one sweater block in the blue for a pillow. "Do" is one of my words I'm considering, and your plan of making it to do something specific in the month sounds like a great way to keep our focus. Now I'm leaning for "do" myself, and keeping myself more focused in 2021. Winter Bliss will be such a darling tablerunner, and make a great gift. I've been resisting getting the quilting journal, but now I think it will help me to stay om track with my projects for 2021. Thanks again for everything you do for all of us, especially this year.

Oh my gosh! , I said I wasn't piecing or quilting until I got those four floppy tops completely finished, but that table runnerwith the adorable bird🤗 oh goodness it is cool cute. Blue and white is my go-to combination for decorating. I have a few quilts that are blue and white and, just last night, I made a new pillow cover in, yup, those two colours! I've always loved that combo and also blue with yellow. I love yellow, too!
I’m using blue and white fabrics to make the Sewcialites quilt. I’m fairly new to quilting and am trying to do something different each time,so it’ll be my first blue and white quilt. Still on my to do list will be a black and cream/white and a red and white quilt.

I love the table runner there is something about blue and white. Also I have been to Flamingo Gardens many times. My son lives not very far from there. I also love to visit the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory in Key West as they have a pair of flamingos (Rhett and Scarlett).

Hey pat watched "A quilting life" this morning and she talked about having a WIP quilt or 2 that she continually adds to. Do that with your sweater pattern do one a month or so and no need to rush to finish it. Do what makes you happy!!!

Your so cute. I am taking my Christmas stuff down to. I will be making the snow flake quilt in blue’s. Just got the fabric the other day. I made one already. But gave it for a Christmas gift. I want one now. I will be putting up snowmen for the rest of Winter.
When you mentioned doing a block to get it out of your system. I decided to piece a few blocks from a quilt book I have and use as part of the pieced backing for a quilt made from the same fabric line.

Thought I would get the one row for that amount, so ordered 3 since I didn't know what I'd do with them only to my surprize get my package in & got 6 of them!!! Didn't know you get 2 rows for 1 order. I will be giving 1 row to a friend when I'll ever be able to see her in person :( & found some fabric in my stash that will match really well. Just need to decide how I want to put them together.

“Perseverance” is a great word for 2021. 2020 taught us to persevere through it all. In 2021 we can continue to put into practice.

Love the blues & white. Last year I made a blue/white lap quilt & tied it all with yarn. The yarn strings look like skaters with their arms out!
