Hi
Wouldn't Sybil Trelawney be considered an oracle instead of a seer?
Hi Morgan
Thanks for telling us to skip the spoiler 😅

I want to say huffepuff but I’m not gonna do hufflepuffs like that
the hat sorts you based on potential. Whether or not you achieve, miss or corrupts this potential isn't the hat's problem
He should be Slytherin. He was open to doing whatever it took to be "great"...
He should have been in Slytherin
Luna is more intelligent than what is known. She’s insightful, empathetic and emotionally intelligent. You’re comparing a lot to hermione intelligence. Although she came out with her father’s theories, she was the first who understood Harry with the thestrals and Voldemort coming back without question. She wasn’t hermione intelligent, but she had the genius intelligence in other ways
I def agree. A lot of people don’t see Luna’s intelligence, maybe not Hermione intelligence, but another intelligence.
it is fair enough that she was made smarter than her father, but I agree that she is smarter than what she was placed in.
@@mreggs3731 yea I agree she should probably be atleast at the intelligent row
Agreed. Luna was a little crazy, but nevertheless highly intelligent. She lost her mother at a very young age and was raised by her father, who was a complete lunatic and - whithout ill intent - indoctrinated her with his crazy views. Since they lived pretty much a hermit life until she was old enough to go to Hogwarts and even in Hogwarts was pretty much an outcast until she befriended the trio, she had never learned to challenge her father's views and probably wouldn't even want to, because he has been her only parent and role-model. If you have that kind of relationship to your parent, you don't want to realize he's a moron, you'll cling to your idolized image of him even against plenty of evidence to the contrary. It's almost like a religious belief. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying religious people are crazy, at least not all of them, but there are some religious people who genuinely believe stuff that sounds like straight out of children's fairy tales and still are intelligent enough to have university degrees. If you really want to believe something, you just don't question it in a critical way.
Beside that conspiracy theory issue, Luna is often shown to be highly intelligent and insightful, she also is fairly good with her school work and she is a skilled spellcaster, one of the quickest learners in the DA. She might not be a genius, but her intelligence is definitely above average.
luna should defenintly go above avarage
Luna seems very emotionally intelligent. She’s balanced and wise, and knows how to comfort Harry when he feels lost emotionally.
You are so right
The fact that you have this uploaded when you just got married shows how dedicated you are to this channel and Harry Potter, as a Ravenclaw I appreciate this video and all your hard work! Congrats!

I am in... GRYFINNDOR! Which to me is the best house. I am like Hermione almost sorted into your house @hermionegrangerwannabe9482!!!
Gilderoy Lockhart is the definition of work smarter, not harder and should be placed on the Average tier. He made a fruitful career by stealing the works of others and spent years basking in fame, fortune, and public adoration. Even if people saw past his charade I think he could’ve kept up appearances to the general public or have a plan ready in case he were ever to be exposed.
"Work smarter not harder" is more of a Slytherin thing, instead of being good in school, he faked his way through life.
Was about to comment that! I wouldn't say he's stupid, he was smart enough to fake his career. Definitely not a genius but atleast somewhat intelligent enough to know how to play people.
I was thinking he was smart enough to become rich and famous from a mediocre talent, so I think he should be a bit higher too.
Yeah and plus he was really good at memory charms
He was also smart enough to be able to cast those memory charms on some pretty powerful witches and wizards without them countering him.
This is great. Can’t wait for Slytherin & Hufflepuff version 💚💛

I think that is TOTALLY obvious
To be fair, the vault that Quirrell broke into had already been emptied earlier that day,so it didn't really have a lot of protection on it. With the Lestrange vault that the Trio broke into, Bellatrix already suspected someone had broken into it, so there was much more security on it and they did in fact succeed by taking the cup and escaping alive. So the Trio's break in was more impressive, but Quirrell still deserves credit for breaking in to a vault as well.
I love how Ignatia Wildsmith will not shut up about how she invented Floo Powder everytime you use it in Hogwarts Legacy yet I still didn't have a clue who she is when you said her name in this video. I guess I get why she keeps trying to spread the word.
LOL! She is so annoying
4:23 Ironic how Hermione’s lovestruck hormones prevented her from seeing Lockhart for what he really was, despite her being cleverer than MANY other Ravenclaws but not being one herself 😆
I once heard of some sort of fan theory that Hermione did notice, at least a little. Hermione grew up in a Muggle family, and she knew the customs and the wizarding world in general only a year before. If we look at it as a parallel to our world today, Hermione is a kind of immigrant. She comes to a new place she doesn't know and just has to manage there by herself (and that's without even mentioning the fact that during her first six months in the wizarding world she barely made any social interactions, because she pissed off her entire class). What the theory suggests is that Hermione just believes it because that's what she was told. Although Hermione didn't have many friends, you could see that she wanted to have some (for example when she took on the incident with the troll in the girls' bathroom, and thus connected with Ron and Harry) And when the entire wizarding world, whether consciously or not, socially pressures her to love someone, she just starts loving him. Another explanation that I actually didn't see elsewhere but thought about it myself is that, as I said, Hermione hardly had any social interactions in her first six months in the wizarding world, when all she did was mostly read books. It was her source of all knowledge about the wizarding world because she didn't have a close person to explain to her how the wizarding world works.
She trusted the books, and after half a year she also saw that it was paying off for her because she managed to get closer to Ron and Harry. She would 100% ask at the bookstore in Diagon Alley what the best selling books were, and they were probably Lockhart's books. In the absence of human interactions, the books became her entire world, and considering that up until that moment everything she had learned about the wizarding world was only from the books, And everything she learned from them was true, she just took the reliability of Lockhart's books for granted, "He just couldn't do that to her." And even if she thought it sounded ridiculous, she was already so into it and she already felt so close to him as one of her first friends in the wizarding world, that she just couldn't admit it even if it was so obvious, and even if she definitely noticed her. And when you think about it like that, the reason Hermione trusted Lockhart is pretty obvious, he was the first to bother to help her understand the situation she was thrown into, when everyone around her just thought she was intolerable, and if we look at it from that perspective, what Lockhart did really feels heartless and lacking Sensitive to everything Hermione was going through, even without him knowing that this was what happened and how much he meant to her.

Congrats Morgan on ur wedding and I love these rankings and your videos
Also the houses are based on what you value. Lockhart valued knowledge and wit but it wasn't a trait. He valued it because his mother always treated him like he was a person who was knowledgeable about everything and perfect but in fact he was just average and it was only a value and not a trait
I love it I can't wait for the next one
The real trait of ravenclaw would be more like creativity and non-conforming thinking, to say that ravenclow is about intelligence is like saying that the house animal should be a raven, except it's no way that big of a deal.
So the real ranking should be from most out of the box thinking to least out of the box thinking.
Intelligence is also a key factor in Ravenclaw though. I'm a Ravenclaw and am more logical/book smart than anything else (although I still creative)
@@hermionegrangerwannabe9482 Of course, also ravenclaw here.
Filius Flitwick - my favourite Hogwarts professor. Also, a character that I think had so much opportunity squandered regarding developing him. Which is why I like writing about him in my own musings… Because, I don't only think he was intelligent, I think he was a very deeply caring and compassionate and kind person as well… Possibly one of the kindest professors there, and again, perhaps somebody that could push for a lot of reform at Hogwarts postsecond war. As for Ravenclaw's defining trait, I don't just think it's merely intelligence. Clearly, think of Tom Riddle and Hermione Granger, The most intelligent students of their respective classes. Yet they weren't Ravenclaw us. Which tells me, I don't necessarily think that intelligence is the defining factor of what constitutes a Ravenclaw. I think what would be more a defining factor is critical thinking and nuanced thinking. Not necessarily how well you do at tests and whether your schoolwork is good or not. The problem Hermione has is that she's not good at thinking outside of the box, which is why she was probably not put into Ravenclaw. As for Tom Riddle… Not only was he a parcel mouth, but he was a sociopath as well, which would no doubt exclude him from Ravenclaw. Again, Tom Riddle was not a critical and nuanced thinker, he only thought outside the box when it came to his own ambition. And I think, personally, reading the books, this is probably why ravenclaws are not really developed as a house, and Flitwick he's not really well developed as a character. I know a lot of Harry Potter fans don't like hearing this, but J.K. Rowling is not much of an author when it comes to nuanced and critical thinking. She doesn't get nuance, and she's not really all that good at writing very nuanced situations that require a high level of critical thinking skills. I don't really think she is up to the task of writing and developing a character like Filius Flitwick for example, a character that I would say would have a lot of nuances and complications in his past. And he is just one. So I think that the lack of development of raven claw house and Ravenclaw houses head teacher, is more likely a nod to The limitations of the author more than anything else which I think is a shame. Would love to see some really intelligent fanfiction writers write some good nuanced and critical thinking stories regarding raven claw house. And I don't just mean fans who are blinded by left-wing ideology either, people who actually get nuance, and the complications of life in the human condition.
Please rank the most influential professors in Harry Potter.

I Will Always think WHAT WAS THE HAT THINKING when he put Lockhart in Rawenclaw?
Yes, exactly
The hat considers what the person being sorted wants and Lockhart thought of himself as intelligent and belongings into Ravenclaw
@@annacbrown1986 still he definitely didn’t belong there. Lol.
@@user-ui5zr7mi1d even other Rawenclaw students dislike him

Um, Morgan. I think you should've mentioned that Padma was a Ravenclaw Prefect as well; she and Anthony were the Ravenclaw Perfects during "The Order of the Phoenix" and "The Half Blood Prince".
I agree with all but one of your placements. In my humble opinion Luna Lovegood absolutely deserves to be in the intelligent row. She may have believed certain not popular theories but that girl was one-hundred-percent intelligent the actress who played her and the character.
She also told Harry to speak to Rowena Ravenclaw’s ghost about the diadem.
@@Sazza-gh5seThat was changed in the movies, in the books it was Harry who thought of it and asked Nick about the ghost of Ravenclaw
You know it’s a good night when you are scrolling RUclips and movieflame drops another banger❤❤
@@Gourmet_Nukes in the books it was still Luna who thought of going to the Ravenclaw Common Room to see what the Diadem is tho. counts for something
Agreed. Additionally, at least in the movies, Luna was one of the first people outside the Order of the Phoenix who saw through the Ministry’s smear campaigns against Harry and Dumbledore. She also shows a high emotional intelligence with her response to Harry saying he feels like everyone is against him.
I would put Luna a little higher because she is insightful about others’ emotional state. She’s also resilient in a way that I believe stems from a level of emotional maturity. Rowling also stated that she gave up some of her beliefs once she saw that they couldn’t be real. So she is adaptable.
When did Rowling say that?
Hey, Morgan! I have a video idea that I though would be cool. You should compare the charachters in the book to their movie counterparts. For example, in the books Harry has green eyes but Daniel Radcliffe has blue eyes in the movies. Just though this would be a cool video idea and I would love to see it. Keep up the good work!
YESSSS
He has already made such videos ,differentiating movies and books...In those videos ,he also mentioned difference between characters in the books and their adapted version in movies..
He sorta did this in the every difference between the book and movie series, at the start of each of those videos he explains the appearance differences between the actors and book description
Yea am sure he's already done it somewhere. Not much he hasn't done really. Bet he's struggling for ideas he's done that much.
Congratulations on your marriage mate.🎉❤ Also waiting for Half Blood Prince Easter eggs video patiently 💯
Congratulations on your wedding, Morgan! I wish you and your wife the best. Your dedication to this channel is absolutely inspiring. Keep up the good work.
I think it's BECAUSE of Flitwick's size that he was an excellent dueling champion, for much of the same reasons Oddjob is usually banned in Goldeneye matches.
Lockhart definitely needed to be smart to become famous and trick so many people.
but isnt an obliviate charm like a standard 5th year charm? (i don't know which year they

@@KookoomberrIt has nothing to do with spells, it has to do with the fact that he got away with it and that he managed to manipulate so many people.

On some level, but it was pretty stupid of him to announce that he was going to obliviate Harry and Ron before he did, also pretty stupid to push his luck so many times with the hints he dropped throughout the school year. Lockhart definitely belongs at the bottom. Luna is also best for thinking outside the box, such as talking to Helena to find the diadem.
I hope for my house Hufflepuff is next with Cedric at the top. As for Slytherins, I don't judge what so ever, but I think the trait to focus on is ambitions. Do hope it's not with cruelty or anything of such.
why should lockhart be at bottom? Criminals can be smart, and he worked smart in order to not get caught.
@@duckboi8794not really. Movie flame went over it and his facade was really dumb. Every instance of him trying to use magic or show off was easily challenged and only a few people who had never met him personally still believed in his accomplishments.

You can't actually tag intelligence. It's relative. There are many forms of intelligence. A socially "dumb" person could be a musical genius. You'll never know.
I may note that there is a big difference between Ravenclaw's love for intelligence and Slytherin's desire for intelligence, Ravenclaws pursue knowledge for knowledge's sake because they view it as important, while Slytherins only pursue knowledge (or anything else) that benefits them because they always think about how they can use something for their own goals.

I don’t think you mentioned this for Quirrel, but he is also a master of nonverbal and no wand magic. He could snap, and fire would appear, and make ropes appear out of this air. That makes him even more impressive (though Voldemort on his head could’ve boosted his power, im not sure how it works)
Yes, am so happy you decided to rank Ravenclaw characters next (Ravenclaw is my One True House).
Early I have watched every vid of urs for three years now! 😅
Remember that deleted scene where they took Lockhart’s test? Hermione and Susan were fangirling over the test he gave them while Ron had this smile on his face when he accepted another test only for it to turn into a scowl of disgust when he passed one to Harry. Goes to show he doesn’t buy his bullshit for one minute. Also that’s nice fanart of Terry Boot. According to the fandom, the only reason Padma was in Gryffindor (film wise) is because the director was afraid that the audience wouldn’t understand they were sisters if they were in a different House. Look, I get it, okay? You’re twins and you’re supposed to be together. But just because you’re blood related, doesn’t mean you have to be in the same house. Christ, my sister likes Slytherin, yet I’m in Hufflepuff.
I love your videos, Morgan.

can you please make a video on the life of credence/ auralius dumbledore
*hogwarts legacy players hearing Ignacio wildsmith*: YOU CANT IMAGINE HOW ANNOYING TRAVEL WAS BEFORE I INVENTED FLOO POWDER
I kinda understand the reasoning for Luna although i prolly would’ve put her to intelligent. She doesn’t show any great knowledge in any scientific field, but what she does have great knowledge of is people. She is very sensitive and compassionate etc. and that takes a certain kind of intelligence. Also the definition of intelligence can vary tremendously! Some might say its knowledge or st, but id say its the combining and processing of information in one’s brain. You dont need o know a lot to be really good at working out solutions to problems, having good ideas or behaving correctly in a situation for that matter…
Excellent video! What about Barty Crouch Junior?

I know you are busy with your marriage and stuff . ( Congratulations BTW 💖 )
But will you please be Abel to Make a video on "What other HP characters would teach at Hogwarts" I mean Not Teachers like "Lally Hikes" but characters like Harry as DADA teacher , Newt as COMA teacher and so on...?
"It is not our abilities that show what we truly are; it is our choices." That said, you should have remembered both Ravenclaw professors Satyavati Shah and Dinah Hecat (The Unspeakable) Great video!
"off on another adventure, are we?" 😂
I know what you mean about Luna. She also is one of my favourite Characters, so it also hurts me to see her not higher than average. But because her branch of knowledge about beasts is very high and she is intelligent enough to see that it is not important what a lot of people say about her when she just wants to be herself, I would consider giving her the chance of being one tier higher, just as you did with Myrtle. But anyway it was a good video as always.
So, here's the thing about Lockheart, he's a vapid attention seeking fop, who will use every opportunity to boost his own appearance and ego regardless of the fallout (honestly surprised he didn't end up in Slytherin). However, he's not stupid. He was able to not only find several great witches and wizards who performed daring magical feats before their stories got out, got them to spill their secrets, and modified their memories in quick succession so he could take credit. This scheme was so successful in fact that that even after his "downfall" in COS people still wrote him fan mail for years to come. He might not have been the greatest teacher, but come on credit where it's due.
I thought that the SCB had a video proving that Trelawney’s predictions all came true. Regardless, if someone had the power of foresight, that wouldn’t necessarily make them intelligent just because they have visions.
Great video!
Not me looking every day for a new vid even though i know what days he posts
"Can you imagine how hard travelling was before I invented floo powder"
Are you gonna do the Harry Potter movie Easter egg series again.I just asking .you are one of my favourite youtuber
I think that Luna could be pushed up partially because it's not her fault Xenophilius was her father and also because she managed to hold her own against (or at least didn't die when fighting) Death Eaters at the end of books 5, 6 and 7.
Fitzgerald was not only a keeper but also Headmistress of Hogwarts in her time which also shows that she was very skilled in all types of magic.
Quirrel also was smart enough to realize where Voldemort was before he was possessed by him. And you can also say that he did it without being a death eater as well.
Great video Morgan 😁😁 it's very interesting 🐦🐦🐦🐦

Let’s remember that a great deal of these characters are teenagers and I don’t know about you all but I don’t know many that possess emotional intelligence/maturity at that age.
