In Sussex county, we have the DART bus providing bus service. It’s great, avoid traffic, parking, etc and it’s cheap for seniors. $.80 to ride each way.
Well, the property taxes are significantly lower. However, if you’re thinking of moving to the beach, get ready to pay a huge amount on your water bill. In addition, home prices are absolutely outrageous within ten or more miles from the beach, and the traffic becomes a nightmare during the summer months.
@IamGroot786 I don’t want to lie to you I’m not sure may just want to verify with a tax professional, but I do think there’s some type of tax break on pensions for people over 60.
I have family in Delaware. My two sisters still live there. I have been thinking about moving back in a few years after I semi-retire, so I am just starting to watch videos about the pros and cons of moving back.
From Fayetteville nc moved here in 2014 for work in Middletown for about 14 months then transferred back not for me I like small town and I moved back to Nc Emerald Isle
A realtor should know Delaware does have sales tax on certain things like 4.25% on automobiles. If you move to Delaware, you have to pay 4.25% on KBB average value.
Thanks for watching but you do not pay sales tax on a car purchased in Delaware. Now what you are referring to is a document fee not a sales tax and I actually mention that it some of my other videos.
As a native Delawarian I am asking you to keep moving along and go somewhere else. Delaware is beyond full. We are at full capacity. We don't need anymore NY, PA, NJ license plates on our over crowded roads. In short we are closed!
🤔Thinking of moving to Delaware? Give me a shout!

In certain areas DART is great but as a state as a whole it could definitely improve with extended hours and routes.

I approve this message 🤣
Don't forget to mention that we don't tax social security income and don't have an estate tax.
Thanks for watching and indeed there are tons of tax benefits to living in Delaware.
@@BrandonWindom What about pensions? Are they taxed?

Delaware is pretty popular as of late.
@@BrandonWindom understatement
We don’t wanna come to your crime ridden state!
Delaware is not "full" - just drive inland about 10 miles from RT 1 (Sussex County) - plenty of open land and very little traffic!
@@kennethprince2224 bullshit! Spoken like true non Delawarian.
PA? NJ? NY?
Delaware has income tax. I pay estimates every quarter.
I don’t believe I said Delaware doesn’t have state income tax all I said was Delaware doesn’t have sales tax which is correct we don’t.
The most boring State
No enjoyment entertainment
No good restaurants or diners
Very unfriendly and unwelcoming 4ppl of darker hues
Sorry you feel that way but some people may beg to differ
