@@apriljones2658 I am not 100% but I think you can use essential oils? I make soaps every once in a while and I use essential oils to make my soaps smell amazing!! Plus you can but candles that SAY they're made all natural and with essential oils....? Anyways...if you like the smells of EOs. Some people dont like the natural herbal/botanical smells.
Can you add any of the sprinkles or anything into the wax if you were to get a clear like wax. Maybe not at $Tree? I would just use as decorative candle not to burn What do you think?
thanks for asking this!! I was going to, and figured my question would be so far down, that it would probably not be seen! now to figure what you can use. Essential oils would be great if they work. if not...i can google what to use. lol
Kelly, the sink holes are because you’re pouring the wax when it’s too hot. With a digital thermometer, you can be sure you’re pouring wax at the right temperature and you won’t get those holes.
Haha this comment. I SWEAR, I thought the same thing!🤣 I am just too dang impatient to wait for the wax to heat and cool.... BUT I love to watch Kelly's sped up process!!!💚
I HAVE TO MAKE THESE FUN LAYERED CANDLES ASAP!! My Granddaughter’s will just love making these for both Valentines and St. Patty’s day ☘️ ❤. Thank you so very very much Kelly for still another fun and gorgeous DIY!! Sending love from Colorado!!
Wow now I know what to do with other candles I have around the house. Love the embellishments. Stinkin cute. Maybe in a beer mug like green beer but a candle. White candle for foam on top. You got my creative side buzzing.😊🤗
You know what I love so much about your videos, other than the super obvious genius crafter you are.....you’re an educator. That’s what separates you from all the other crafters, you make it easier by making us understand the process of whatever it is you’re doing and I love that. Thank you for being you!! Much love and blessings to you and yours. Xoxoxo
Cynthia Frey why thank you so much for that! I have always been one who always needed to understand WHY when doing something so I feel it is important to try and explain why whenever possible 💚☘️💚☘️😋☀️
You’re so welcome.😊 I’m the exact same way, I have to understand and make sense of the process, no matter what it is. I can’t just go about doing something and not know the purpose of the functions, if that made any sense at all?! 😆😆 I think you get me though. 😉
Thank you very much about the tip about the work being placed between two popsicle sticks to keep it upright. You did an awesome job explaining step-by-step how making these layer candles thank you so much I really have enjoyed this video so much
One of the things you can do is go to the goodwill and purchase used candles that already scented and melt the wax and layer the candle. Use the wicks and the glass from the old candles. Your wax was to hot when you were poring your layers. The other thing you can do is put ice in the candle before pour wax in. It creates a very interesting pattern. I would put the sprinkles in between your layers. Super cute.
I've watched you make several candles and they have all come out beautifully, but this one, oh my word, 😉 takes the cake. Your candles are on my list, but now, it's going to have to move up a bit. I love these Kelly, great idea and did a great job. Thank you so much for sharing your great idea.
I have paid for expensive candles that only burn down so far. I think you could top off the inch or so left over to layer new wax from dollar tree candles. They have wax melts to add to the wax and that both colors and scents the wax. So cute with the sprinkles.
Love those candles. I use the white ones and wrap pink ribbon around one and purple ribbon around 3 of them, add some greenery, and I have an advent wreath.
I've made several candles since you're Valentine video. They are surprisingly long burning, and I love that I can pick pretty jars to pour them into. Can't wait to try the layered version. Thanks for the inspiration, Kelly!!
Good Morning! Thank you, I made a candle from the the Valentine video in an ocean theme and it is awesome! I put it into an old upside down light fixture. I am amazed at the quality of the wick and how long they burn for. I did add scent to mine, but I had used a scented candle in the first place and didn't really need the extra.
Hi dear friend, thank you so much for this awesome DIY projects never have tried to make candles. Very interesting. Do you want to mention all the beautiful Easter things in the background on this video were very very pretty. Thank you so much for this awesome DIY project
Thank you so much. I have tried to make candles from scratch but they did not turn out so well. Made soap instead. I gave up on candle making due to my not doing so well. You have now showed me how to make a candle which I can make. I am going to add scents to mine since I have that already in my stash of crafts. Thank you.
I have been saving all the wax leftover from my burning of candles and will be making my own candles one of these days. I have even bought old candles at yard sales and thrift stores just for the wax and wicks.
Oh wow! These are FANTASTIC!!! I can't believe how the sprinkles bring the candle from "okay" to "spectacular"!!! You did it again! You amaze me! xoxoxo
I just made these candles! Made the mistake with my "test" candle of moving it to soon to the fridge and the warm wax sloshed up the sides a bit. I just heated it with my heat tool to fix.
Kelly - I like the idea of using GLUE to hold WICK in the Bottom of Candle Jar!! I would like to suggest this too ... Glue some 🍀 Shamrocks 🍀or Embellishments to the INSIDE of the Candle Jar before you pour the melted Wax layers!! I have done this with Holiday Candles before and it turns out Wonderful!! Thank you as always for such Creative Beautiful CRAFTS!!🍀❤🍀💚🍀❤🍀💚🍀❤🍀💚
These are really cute! Never seen sprinkles in candles before but I love that! Here's a little potential life hack for candle melting. If you don't want to/can't use your oven and have a space heater you can pop some candles in front of it and melt them that way. I do this with my candles if I don't have any matches on hand but I want to smell my candle in my room. 😂 Haha
Hey Kelly!! Great idea here!! Thanks for sharing! Another item that is great for melting, I found at the thrift store for under $1.00 is a round warmer ( small and round with a flat heating element, but not an "eye" if that makes sense) that you can sit a cup of coffee on to reheat. It works great for melting down the candles! I use it when my candles are getting low and if I can combine some to where they will still smell good combined, I do that and Just re-pour them! ☺ I'm curious, have you done a home tour in the past? I'd love to see that video if so! ☺
These look great! I never thought about making candles for gifts! Will you consider show us what you do with an empty glass. I really enjoy watching your channel!🍀☘️
Love the candles-my Dollar Trees only sell the white ones. I was able to get a red one after Christmas and yes I melted them down in the oven just like you did. Then I proceeded to knock 3 of them over on my kitchen table and on to the floor and I think I even hit the wall😂. I did manage to get one candle made, sinkhole and all! I will try again though.
Kelly, can you add scent to these?
Yes you totally can I just didn’t in this one but I did in my Valentines Day candles that I just did❣️ ruclips.net/video/0rGJWqU1Cgw/видео.html
Thank you so much! Love all of your videos!♥️♥️♥️

what temp to pour?
Heat your glass container and it won’t. Takes at least three hours to cool.
So cute!
I'm going to cheat and just melt sprinkles to the tops of store-bought candles.
Diced Rice 😂

St Patrick's Day is my birthday so we always decorate for it. I think I will try this with my youngest granddaughter!

Wow now I know what to do with other candles I have around the house. Love the embellishments. Stinkin cute. Maybe in a beer mug like green beer but a candle. White candle for foam on top. You got my creative side buzzing.😊🤗

They look fantastic!!! And nobody else has presented this great idea. 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🤗💜👵🏼🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
So much you can do with those candles. I have reused the wicks from the candles with no problem.
