    This is something I might actually be able to do and finish by the time my granddaughter arrives in a few weeks. That is, IF, I can get my craft room organized and set up this weekend! And I have some really cute Minions charm packs for it! I love that it uses so many of the 5" precuts.

    I see pillows/pillow shams when I look at this pattern. I'll be putting this one on my "To Do" list as I seem to like snowballed type quilts.

      I love the sashed half hexi, and the Rhombus quilt. The Sticks and stones was my first one. I have a long list of quilts I want to make. With 13 grand kids and a great grandson I'll be busy for a long time.

      Jenny, I have a confession.... the tutorial I hated the most was JellyRoll race 1. I had no problems with more complex patterns, but my race was going in every direction but the right way LOL! I have since finished it...

    Hi Jenny, keep on giggling. I love your down to earth and yet precise instructions..Your human, right? I was wonder ing how you find a nice sturdy table that has a drop space for your sewing machine. I have looked but just tables..

    I am confused about cutting dimensions for the snowball squares. The diagram in the supply list shows all the corners connecting, but there is a 1/2 inch gap when using the 2.5 inch size in the video.
    Love the pattern, made smaller for my NICU quilt group.

      What a darling gift to make for your grandsons birthday Lyne! As of right now we don't have any tips for a Mariners star block quilt. I would suggest looking this up on google or RUclips to see if anyone else does. This is something we need to look into!

    Love this quilt! What is the width of the sashing/inner border? And can you clarify whether the outer border is 5" finished? or cut at 5" wide and 4.5" finished?

      Susan, the border is generally cut at 5" wide and finished at 4.5"! I believe the width of the inner border is about 2.5". Please let us know if you have anymore questions!

      her iron has a sensor when she uses it it goes down., when she stops it pops up. you can buy it from her store

      it's an Oliso Smart Iron. it has a sensor on the handle & when nothing is touching it, the feet pop up.

      The reason this iron pops up when not being used, is so it doesn't cause scorching problems laurie! This is called the Oliso Pro smartiron, and Jenny loves it!

      I love my Oliso iron too. After rotator cuff surgery with complications, I invested in this iron so I could get back to sewing and quilting. It made the difference for me, I LOVE this iron!!!

    How big of a quilt would it make if I did 1 pks of 10" pre-cut then I cut them down
    I have to Halloween party paks I got last year in Los Angeles (before I found out about y'all)

    I know many people may like snow balling corners but I prefer quilts that don't need snowballing. I don't mind cutting and reuse wing but not a fan
    of snowballing. Still like the quilt but won't be making it. Kaye Australia

    Sorry I am all questions... when this is set up what do you recommend for batting...yes, I am very new to quilting.. I've made a few tops, blocks, table runners, pillows... and 1 quilt.
    I saw another person using a fuseable batting, but I don't know anything about the batting and how is this quilted.. can't see the quilting up close..... I did watch about binding..so I think I've got that... but there are so many battings out there... please help.

    When doing a tutorial please always include yardage for binding, especially important if one is ordering fabric.

    I have a friend with a new grandbaby I have no source for charm packs. How many squares are in a pack ? I am thinking shades of pretty pink for her new princess . I have lots of pink in my stash.

      Charm packs have about 42 five inch squares to them

      There are typically 42 squares in a pack Trayne 1837! Shades of pink would look so pretty on this style of quilt!

    Whatever happened to tutorials NOT using pre cuts
