▶I will show you how to make leather mask . How to make that leather mask? Leather Craft Pattern available at bottom link. In this video i will present you diy of leather mask and a few leather craft techniques with basic leather craft tools. Pattern include also 2 different types .

- sharp knife
- 1,2-1,5mm hole puncher or pricking irons or awl
- hammer
- 2 needles
- paper tape
- a home printer
▶Materials you need:
-Leather (preferable 5-6oz)
- Waxed thread (preferable 0,8-1 mm)
- 2 rivets

Good design. Finished mine last night with mods. I cut an oval out for the center plate and made a copy, then sandwiched wire screen. Added four post screws to the main body surrounding the grill and made a wire filter retainer (held by the screws) for holding a filter in place.

Great design! I would add a pocket inside to slip in a filter or additional fabric for better protection.

Hermoso trabajo, el diseño es ergonómico. Realmente es un diseño que usaría.
La cuestión con el virus chino es que:
1) Se necesita un material que de pueda limpiar fácilmente con productos químicos para eliminarlo
2) Para que la máscara funcione, es importante filtrar el aire, el virus tiene un tamaño nanométrico.
Se lo puedes adaptar, pero el diseño esta muy bien.
Puedes pegar por dentro una mascarilla real

@@CreativeAwl if you use an air conditioning merv13 or merv16 filter merv13 is equivalent to n95 and merv16 is equivalent to p100 which filter out 95% of airborne particles and 99.9% of airborne particles making them more than capable of protecting you from a virus

actually with your design, you can sew some light fabric there for first filter layer, and add some slamm elastic band on the middle for you to put another filter

Since I'm only using it for ca one time costume, would it be possible to make it out of something besides leather? Maybe foam?

Actually use a filter covering the hole tightly and use them. It will hold nicely and looks like fit well on the face.

I created one using cotton cloth. And added filter slot. Since everyone is wearing mask today why not wear it with a style.
I think add slot for filter, too. May you show your version, interesting really.

très bien facilitation mais ou je ne comprend pas sais ou la protection pas aucun filtre a l intérieur je crois qu il manque seulement cela very much facilitation but or I do not understand know or protection not no filter inside I think it lacks only that

Creative Awl, this is going to sound weird, but could you do a tutorial video on how to make a full face helmet out of leather?
I want to make a fursuit horse head out of leather veggie tanned that I can breathe out of and have moving jaw.
I just have no clue what tools I need or where to start.
Is that mask going to be good for facial skin? Cause you know the flesh part will be in a direct contact.

cloth mask wont see you againts fless while riding a bike. its not anty-virus mask ;)

You can use vegetable tanned leather. It should be ca. 2,0 to 3,0 mm thickness.

I know it looks very simple to make especially when u have the skills you have but for a average joe like my self how easy really is this?
It looks simple becouse it is - you will need a: utility knife, hole puncher 1,5/1,2/1 mm and needles + leather with thread and maybe 2 rivets, thats all
