I'm surprised Kid Tripp became free considering that you can still buy it on the Switch, so it's not as if the creators decided to give it for free because they weren't going to port it to modern systems, no; they just gave us for free a game that's not going to die with the eShop. Most epic decision ever.

They did it without Nintendo's permission after Nintendo told them it was "impossible". This tells you everything about how poorly managed NOE is right now that publishers can outright defy them and none of their farmed out third party distributors know.

Picked up the Ace Attorney games the other day when I heard about a sale from a friend, but I had no idea about the Monster Hunter games being on sale too. I'll pick those up later. These videos have been invaluable in helping me make sure my library is in order as much as it can be before the eShop closes!
I'm picking Resident Evil! I was gladly surprised when I got to know about this huge sale and just wanted to confirm it before I got excited and reached for my 3DS lol.

I do. Sales for games from Capcom are definitely worth it. Atooi and Wayforward, same thing. Steamworld games? I chose to get Heist on the Switch even though I’m missing out playing it on 2 screens but hey, I prefer that version so that way I don’t have to put up with the DLC. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Monster Hunter Generations have the Save Data transfer apps. For 3 Ultimate, you only transfer your save data from the Wii U version to the 3DS one. For Generations, you transfer your save data from the 3DS one to the Ultimate version on the Switch. I plan on getting the Switch version sometime later on, knock on wood.

Amazing, the list we needed to see. I plan on keeping one of my 3DSs unmodded so I might grab a few of these while they are so cheap. Never know I needed Japanese First Person Rail Sims until now.
Many thanks for all your work on the 3DS and WiiU stuff since the upcoming closure was announced. You've really helped me with finding hidden gems and many other games I may have missed out on otherwise! I had to upgrade my storage big time last summer with all the games I was downloading, haha. You pointed out so many I just couldn't pass up!
If I may take a second to pitch a game not on sale… Attack of the Friday Monsters for 3DS. I think it’s $7-8. Not only is an amazing game, but I have a dream that if a surge of people pick it up, it will send a message that there is a market for such games outside Japan.

Slight correction. Silver Falls - 3 Down Stars and Silver Falls - Undertakers were released in Europe, they're also currently on sale, at 40% off, at £11.99 and £2.69 respectively. Unfortunately the European version of 3 Down Stars is an earlier version that apparently has a bug that prevents game completion, and the developer was unable to submit a patch to Nintendo of Europe (due to a deadline he wasn't made aware of).
Harold's Walk and Reborn were also released in Europe, though neither is on sale here.

Thanks again Arthur :) My current thinking is get the demos of most of the big games (so even if you don't buy it - as not on sale, for example - you get to at least experience it a bit, which is sometime enough when there's so many games on the backlog! Then get the sale games (which thanks the publishers for putting on sale and maybe encourages others!); then DsiWare as quite quirky and interesting for the 3DS, mostly cheap, and unlikely to be ported anywhere else; then perhaps some of the digital exclusives. Then maybe a few of the big games that don't go on sale and physical copies can be pricey. In the end, there will be enough games for a very long time (understatement!) even if you don't get absolutely everything you might like - so we'll be okay :)
Buy what you want and can afford now to support the industry and if there is something you've missed you can just jailbreak your 3DS when the store closes.

One thing about Monster Hunter Generations: I believe there’s also an app on 3ds that allows you to transfer your save from the 3ds version to switch.
There is and I downloaded it. If you've any aspirations of one day picking up Generations on Switch, it's great to have.

A couple more simple games not on sale yet but only a few bucks are AIrace Xeno and Speed. Racing a spaceship through a tunnel track with obstacles and branching paths. 3D is used really well here. They only do the one thing, but they do it really well. I have seen them on sale before, so they might drop down again before the end. They also have demos so you can try them out.
Monster hunter Generations also offers a transfer tool, which transfers you save data to the switch version of Generations Ultimate
Virtues Last Reward is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I bought the physical cartridge cib a week ago, and it I feel dumb for not playing this game sooner. To anyone reading this, that game is a must.
I always wondered why the ds and 3ds didn't have more first person dungeon crawlers, though I guess wiiu counts too, with 2 screens, one dedicated to the map, it seemed the perfect systems.
If we get that one last Atlas sale, get the awesome Etrian Odyssey games

24:00 that not correct. The switch version includes the same challenges you get with amiibo only on the 3DS, but on switch they are immediately available and you cannot even scan the MegaMan amiibo.
Other than that the game is the same on 3DS and Switch and other systems.
(The 2nd part of legacy collection is also a "seperate game" on all platforms - so there is no more comprehensive version on any system)

For DuckTales Remastered, does anyone know how the resolution on Wii U compares to the X360 or PS3 versions? I believe the former is 1080p, but not sure about the latter two.

By the way Silver Falls games on both consoles Wii U and 3DS are very interesting and unique that utilizes the 2 consoles capabilities with the best results ( stereo 3D effect, dual screen gameplay on 3DS. Excellent use of Gamepad, wii mote-Balance Board use, great multiplayer on Wii U). So I suggest everyone should buy them because most of these games will remain exclusives on Wii U and 3DS!
I got the newest silver falls interesting game, sadly been so busy with work and stuff, but what I’ve played it’s definitely enjoyable game and almost got my house built.
I’m definitely getting other games of it.
Unfortunately only 2 SF games made it to Europe and 3 Down Stars didn't get the update the US got and has a game breaking bug that means it can't be finished.

Sad story for me. I was harshly reminded of the Wii U's 300 Menu Space Limit.
Doesn't matter if you have room in your external hard drive or not. 300 is the MAX limit for Icons on your Menu Screen.
No matter if you put them in folders or not. The difference between Consoles & Computers, ladies & gentlemen.
So now I have to delete my software to make room for my other intended downloads...
...THEN delete the ones I won't use often only redownloading them from eShop if needed,...
...which is a service not promised to us forever since one day Nintendo will absolutely shut down eShop entirely.
I am forced (unless I mod down the road) to use my Wii U as a Wii U/Virtual Console box instead of the Wii U/Virtual Console/Indie box I originally planned it to be. Indies (most of them anyway) will have to be sacrificed.
Hopefully I can find an alternate plan to house them after the fact.

Silver falls has one last game that just came out for 3ds called Gaiden Deathly Delusion Destroyer's. There is also 2 Wii U games Silver Falls White Inside It's Umbra and Silver Falls Undertakers U.

Is RPG Maker FES already dead? I downloaded the Player and it shows no games to download. I tried the "All games" list and searched for some of the more popular titles (Meme Squad, Tale of Espers). All returned a "Not found" error message.
Nevermind, it took over the system's language settings and showed only titles in German. Maybe something people should know when their 3DS is not set to English.
Don't forget to link your 3ds and Switch accounts, so you can add funds to switch and spend them on 3ds. Until March 2023.

I just beat Silver Falls 3 Down Stars. That game was great and I recommend it. It expects you to figure things out on your own. Combat is clunky in the way old survival horror games are.
Another game I really like is Dementium the Ward Remastered. It was made by Renegade Kid and originally pitched to Konami as a portable Silent Hill. While Konami passed on the game, it is a good psychological horror game.

I have the Gunmen Clive Games long ago on the 3DS never got far enough to beat it yet as soon as I got the Wii U version I ended them pretty soon.
Going back on the 3DS I can say that controling Clive feels pretty floaty in the 3DS.
I also recommend Moon Chronicles, amazing FPS metroid like game in 3DS. The only unfortunate thing is the game is broken down into 4 episodes. The first episode I believe is free and the rest you'll have to buy each.
Only two games are completely free and they're not even in the states. Bummer.

Dungeons & Dragons for Wii U is an excellent pick, it has 2 games, and it has online play (plus, is not available on consoles like 3DS or Switch). Recommended.

The reason Fragrant Story is so short is because the developer was rushed to release the game due to the impending closure of the eShop, so he released his game as a sort of demo (explaining the short play time) and was going to patch the game with the full content once it's ready, since updates will still be possible for a while on 3DS and Wii U games. So you're paying in advance for a portion of the game and will get the full game down the road. He did the same for his Earthbound-style RPG Otosan, which is a 10 SECOND demo of the game. Again, he was rushed to get the game out. Pay a dollar for the demo, you'll get the full game later on as a free update patch.
Was planning on buying Shantae Pirate's Curse and I'm glad I waited. Also, $4ish for Shovel Knight with all expansions is an absolute steal that anyone with a 3DS who loves retro action platformers owes themselves to pick up.
The Capcom sales are excellent. Every Phoenix Wright and Monster Hunter are $3 a pop. That's incredible. And $3 for the Mega Man collection is insane. That's 50 cents per game for 6 of the finest NES games ever produced. Grab this stuff while you can.
Resident evil revelations was one of the coolest 3d games on the 3ds. i really enjoyed it.
You are not quite right about Silver Falls. 3Down Stars also made it to Europe. Unfortunately Nintendo refused to update Silver Falls 3 Down Stars as they did in America, leaving it with a game breaking bug where the game will crash before the ending (it crashes regularly during gameplay but autosaves) meaning you cannot complete the game or unlock the post game.
A shame as I spent 40 hours on it.
You are also incorrect about the Harold's Walk games. Both games are available in Europe.

Capcom sale has nothing to do with the eShop closure, unfortunately. They have a global "Publisher Sale" on every platform, which is tied to their Capcom Spotlight event. That's why the discount timeframe doesn't correspond with the eShop closing date 😅
They just added more games on sale but yet where is Sega 😢

That's hard to answer cause I have no idea about your tastes, but definetly the Ace Attorney games are worth picking up, trilogy is the only one found elswhere. All the Shantae games are great. Shovel Knight is a must play in my opinion, but its everywhere. Th Mutant Mudds, Xeodrifter and chicken Wiggle are also lots of fun. Gunman Clives are great action platformers too, interesting challange. I think those are the major highlights.
So annoying that Capcom keep doing these amazing sales but never in Europe. I have been holding out for so long, hoping they would do the same sales for all there games here but alas looks like I will never get these games as can't afford the asking prices 😢

And so many interesting games got super sales, I will buy Persona as well. I too have never played Persona or S.M.T. though Persona leaves me indiferent (its just the sale that makes it appealing) I am super interested in S.M.T. I got them all (now with the final 3) on 3DS and I got S.M.T. 5 on switch, I havent played any though yet, I have a very big game catalog whoch is increasing daay by day oof. I'm not sure if it is worth flagging in your next upload but the Europeans are having issues with Mario golf on the 3DS, they are completely unable to download the DLC due to an error that has been going on for almost a month now. I have been in contact with Nintendo directly regarding this issue but who knows if it will be fixed in time. It seems as though the response I've got is the more people that get in contact the more seriously they will take this issue. Very much appreciate the time and effort you've put into this series.
Yeah I checked on the eshop and the section is there but it says there’s no dlc there. Sadly I think it’s likely been delisted at some point and not many people noticed.

Great point. The DLC for other Wii U games is also missing including Xenoblade X and Sonic Lost World. I am messaging Nintendo about it now and there are multiple threads on Reddit.
