I'm thinking about possibly getting a 1/8 barrel myself but I've been waiting on robinson to fulfill my order for a replacement firing pin mine broke last Saturday
@@beachdrugpanda I wonder why some are having that issue, seems like an odd issue. Don’t get discouraged, they are superb rifles. Fit and finish is second to none. Check out the ruger sfar before you order an M if you want 308. They look like a solid choice for around a grand
@@TheREALLibertyOrDeath yeah definitely its been awesome since I got it last March I've ran the piss out of it. It didn't like steel case at first so I just stop shooting it in my XCR I'll definitely have another one eventually I just do not like how robinson is handling my problem.
@@beachdrugpanda I did recently have a bad experience with their customer service over a conversation kit. I think they get overwhelmed, they a really small company with a product that is growing in popularity
Love my Robinson XCR L in X39. Contemplating ordering the XCR M in .308. Order a spare firing pin in stainless steel $24 or titanium $40. Not bad. The CMMG DISSENT in .300BLK has my attention as well.
Yeah the original xcr was changed a little when they were trying to get the scar contract but the military kicked them because they changed the parameters of the order after robinson already shipped the rifles. Wish they would send me my replacement firing pin though
I’m stuck between light or heavy barrel, I don’t do competition shooting or anything fancy, I just want the weapon for home defense/fun backyard shooting, why did you chose the heavy barrel?
Just get the light and figure out which twist you like. If you wanna change it you always can. I wanted it be a medium range rifle and use it for competition eventually hopefully
@@beachdrugpanda ahhh ok, I was leaning towards the light barrel anyways, I appreciate your insight and fast reply. How’s the weapon holding up for you??
@@CosmoE12 the firing pin broke a couple months ago that sucked because it was still new. Fixed that and hasn't missed a beat. I put 200 rounds at least through it every week
Love my xcr, I even prefer the cz Bren to the scar. I went with 1-8 twist and it loves 77 otm. Congrats on a really nice rifle 👍

@@TheREALLibertyOrDeath i think its a bad batch of firing pins though since I saw someone else had the same problem.

Does some other company make firing pins for the xcr
Looks like scar! Both awesome!

Better than a SCAR
Rob Arms made in the USA! I personally own 3 so take it from me... You wont be sorry. Highly recommend!

@@beachdrugpanda nice, I hope the firing pin isn’t a common issue but doesn’t scare me too bad, thank you for the valuable info
It's great
Thanks man
An awesome American rifle.
