I’m not fermiliar at all with old phones/sim cards. but I recently purchased the RAZR V3 flip phone for fun, and I can’t figure out which SIM card at all to get. The T-Mobile 2G SIM card was discontinued right? I thought that was the only one it could take…. and there’s different sizes for sim cards too?? This is all so confusing !!😭
A 3g tmobile sim card will work but Tmobile wont activate them anymore it is list as a standard size sim :)

Hi Tony. I bought a gold razr v3i listed as new. It turns on after chargingand inserting sim, both screens are working and keypad lights up but I can't get the keypad to work. None of the buttons except the power on button is working. Also side panel volume buttons aren't responding. Is there some kind of lock in keypad or what. Please help me out Tony, I watch all your unboxings . How can I get the keypad to work ? The seller isn't taking returns. Help
Hmmm sounds like the keypad flex is bad as it's not responding it could be a refurbished device which they installed generic parts on i might be able to quote you a replacement keypad flex if you want

I usually get mine in phones i buy but you can buy them off ebay
i gotta question... i got a razr v3 but cant find any parts, do you know of any places/website that have parts or is it better just to buy a donor phone?
To be honest I've always just bought donor phone but i have a pretty good selection of parts i might have what your looking for just send me an email
Hi, my old Motorola Razr v3i does not read the sim...😥. I took it from my Samsung Galaxy and put into Motorola with its adaptor but it doesn't seem to work, always "insert sim"... Could you please help me🙏?
I might need a new sim reader install or the sime may not be compatible with the razr

i found out how much it cost to get a razr activated for Sprint it cost $30

You might try some att and tmobile work for rn but dont know for how long

you will need to order a SIM card off Ebay for the carrier that the phone is on

What carrier if it on if it's on Alltel Sprint Verizon Us cellular it is CDMA and not sim compatible if its att T-Mobile Cingular it's gsm and can be sim compatible but with T-Mobile and att shutting down the 2g 3g towers they will no longer activate them att use to I'm not sure if they still do

Sadly there’s no way to activate it anymore
Based off of another video that I saw, I believe you can activate the SIM card from another android, and then put it in the Motorola.

Sadly older phones are getting over looked and not a lot of people mess with them beside very few collectors :(

I ordered one and it won't read any sim card.
What kinda sim card are you trying to use in it you can’t use a 4g/5g sim in it has to be a 2g or 3g sim

@@Simply_DJayalso try to make sure the SIM card you get is GSM , I believe those are the only ones that are compatible with 2G network

@@TonysPhoneCollection1 if you look below the camera, you will see some writing, if it says 'vga 4x zoom' then it's an original, but if it says 'megapixel' it's fake, also, if the 'm' on the front below the secondary screen isn't Imbossed, then it could be fake.
@ngaviation3489 the cdma models say megapixel, and have camera bumps, but yes, if it has a shitty logo, black inside housing, no bump, and says megapixel, it's fake
