I just rewatched this movie a couple days ago for the first time in probably a decade. I don't know how I could have forgot how cute it is. Enchanted is honestly so fucking good and it's a crime that it's fairly underrated. Like you said, it handles feminism in such a beautifully organic way that doesn't feel it's beating its message into your brain with a baseball bat. Unfortunately, I feel this is also why people forget about how well it handles its subject matter. Frozen is a bit more in your face of showing you how ridiculous some of Disney tropes can be. It's constantly pointing out that women don't always need to be saved, love at first sight isn't real, etc. While these are good messages, the execution is just too much. On the other hand, Enchanted handles these topics better by showing not one way of looking at these topics is right. Robert is more realistic to his approach on love, but in return he's unable to be swept away with the magic of romance. On the other hand, Giselle is all encompassed in the magic of love that she doesn't realize love is more than sunshine and rainbows. They are a great pair because they both learn from each other. Thus, they still hold onto who they are and what they believe, but have changed them for the better. Side note, James Marsden is so underrated and it's a crime he's not in more. He's easily one of the funniest characters in the movie. His fist bite when he hears Giselle in Central Park is so adorably hilarious

Love this film
Same! Love your pfp. 💛
