When you take the time to fully comprehend how the WEP provision works and why, it is fair. There are two perspectives as I see it, those who don’t understand it and those that do but just want the money they aren’t entitled to. My guess Is Biden will justifiably veto this bill to avoid the burden to the social security trust fund.

What do you think about the Social Security Fairness Act-does it bring much-needed fairness to public workers, or could it create bigger challenges for the system?

Move the entire social security system to Ukraine that way it would possible get 100% full
funding like everything else does since our entire Congress supports large amounts of funding for everything in that country

While the Social Security system is entirely different from foreign aid budgets, it’s definitely fair to want more focus on programs that directly impact Americans' lives.

These folks who seem to want to "bitch" because this new law only applies to workers who have had their benefits "cut" due to WEP and GPO NEED to think much more carefully when they go to VOTE - I think it's clear which politicians [as a group] want to strengthen SS and Medicare and which politicians want to weaken/destroy/privatize these programs although there are exceptions here and there. If you are bitching about this change which has been fought for by employee groups/unions/etc for decades, then you are falling for the same SCAM that so many fell for on November 5 and allowing the billionaires to FOOL YOU with the billions they spent on LYING TV ADS. Working Class Americans must learn to work together for OUR COMMON INTERESTS or these GREEDY BILLIONAIRES WILL BURY US ALL.

It’s true that voting with a focus on long-term policies that impact Social Security and Medicare is critical, these programs are lifelines for so many. The frustration with misleading campaigns and big money in politics is real, and turning that energy into action, like organizing and voting with a purpose, can really help.

I think we did this time. We’re tired of giving her money away to other countries like Ukraine, and then Administration is getting kickbacks and being billionaires because of it.
