- im uploading these so i can add them to my playlist ik the official cast album is a thing but i prefer this cast (no shade) im not uploading songs from this cast that are already accessible on yt lol if you dont see a song its probably because it's on youtube already
Maybe its the theater talking but the emotional beats hit SO much harder than they do in the movie. Tbh i think the musical may be better written
The musicals are usually always better cause live action has more stuff going on like the subtle emotion changes or actions. The vocals are also stronger relating to the situation, plus the beautiful stage and costumes/costume changes!
The guys who wrote the music for the movie also helped with the musical. I think they look at what could’ve been improved and really knocked it out the park with the musical
Absolutely - the movie went through a LOT of rewrites and some parts were definitely rushed to get it out on time. With the musical, they had time to fix the parts that were rushed and develop the characters more
Damn i’m commenting late af but the musical is DEFINITELY much better than the movie
The musical had the advantage of a pre-written product to work with. It’s only natural it’d be improved when retroactively creating the musical (if they’d originally made the musical and then convert to a film then they’d likely have a stronger film)

Can I just point out at 2:57, each one of them began a stacking of voices, harmonizing with one another; the word they spoke of indicating the person/entity they speak of all the way from the beginning of the song.
Anna sang "Kristoff" in a low, somewhat alto voice as she struggles to keep herself together, desperately trying to find Kristoff, the one who loved her truly.
Kristoff sang "Anna" in a tone that resembles a baritone, eager to find Anna in the growing storm of snow in order to save her from the frozen heart her sister accidentally unleashed upon her.
Elsa emphasized a note on "Monster!" after speaking about an entity she has awoken, an entity that grows strong from her fear. The monster that hurt Anna, that started the endless storm on Arendelle; a monster she whole-heartedly wanted to defeat, but is unable to do so.
Hans, as he chased Elsa, sang "Elsa" in an attempt to capture her attention, to blame her for the 'death' of Anna. His mischievous intentions evident on his face (whose skills of the actor I highly am a fan of), thirst of power and wealth, he intends to kill Elsa to be the new king of Arendelle.
Each one of them blended perfectly to form a four voices harmony. I think it would've been nice if Kristoff sang his lyric in a bass, male low note but considering his vocal contribution as part of a baritone is still remarkable.
It's just amazing how such a chaotic scene full of desperation, chase, and despair is able to have four wonderful singers who managed to form a unity within the chaos with their voices, alongside the crowd wearing a white costume which resembles the storm itself, as well as the cold Anna felt as her organic body transformed into ice.
As a fan of Frozen since I was a child, I'm positively obsessed with this performance now as an adult.

Kind of late, but I'd also like to add that the "monster" line seems to have a double meaning. Elsa of course is referring to herself/what she's unleashed but it's also referring to Hans on a meta level.
Kristoff and Anna sing eachother's names and Hans sings Elsa's, which would leave Elsa's part as the pair to Hans'.

The ensemble is amazing. Their harmonies and choreography are the best characters in this whole production
This is cast so perfect, I can't stop myself from watching this every day. The only thing missing is, ummm, Elsa's powers appearing in her character's hands the way it does in the film itself. But that's fantasy. Nevertheless, it's so good.

So my high school is currently doing this, and I was originally in the hidden fold ensemble (dropped out because of school and my mental health) and this is genuinely the hardest song in the show. The sheet music itself almost gave me a panic attack, but it sound PHENOMENAL when it’s learned and put together
My dad always hates on the musicals that were made after the movie was, but I just can’t see it here. The imagery(is that the word?) is incredible, the songs amazing, and don’t even get me started on the ensemble! The way they represented the storm gives me shivers(pun intended)! They did great on this

One time I was in frozen jr and I was playing Anna and we never choreographed it so my director just told the snow chorus to just spin around us, and everyone was just supposed the act cold and confused and….it actually looked really bad so we were going to go over it on our last tech rehearsal but Wesleton broke the set piece because this was a show with little children and so during colder by the minute no one had any idea what to do and a kid fell and there was like a domino effect and so a ton of kids were just falling….I love this song
In terms of voice and the embodiment of the character in my opinion this cast is the best. If they would ever be recorded the upgraded soundtrack version (broadway) they SHOULD totally go with these people

I recently did the Jr version of Frozen as Hans (literally the most fun ive ever had) and this song is so good, but they cut so much of it out and i wish they would have kept it all because this version shows so much more emotion and chaos and i love it. (they also cut out monster, what do you know about love, and all the versions of Han's songs, which is just criminal)

In my opinion, I think this is an improvement over the shorter live show at Disney's California Adventures (no offense to this park, I actually liked that theme park, but they could have added original songs to that live show like this Broadway musical).

This was said in the frozen on broadway but I point out the little details video: at 2:56 when they're all harmonizing so well, Elsa says monster instead of Hans because she thinks she's the monster when really it's Hans and his name never gets said so he's the monster. What I wrote doesn't make sense unless you understand it.

NGL I love all the casts but NA tour with Caroline Bowman and Lauren Nicole Chapman are the best. They’ve perfected it over the 4+ years they had to play with it. They’re the champions for sure.
