I woke up with an extremely sharp pain near the navel and went to the ER. I had acute appendicitis, even though my pain never travelled to the right side. I had nausea/some vomiting. The doctors recommended I get the surgery to avoid any future attacks. 5 days post-op and I’m feeling okay 😊

Seriously, as part of diagnosis, remember to ask patient if they have had appendix removed before ordering appendectomy.
