Love the cat.. love how Sarah just laughs and does not shoo him away.
the cat coming up within the first five minutes immediately sent me to like the video, i love this, god bless you and your gentle soul
Love the cat too
Beautifully said ❤️
Totally agree, be blessed and the cat too of course 😘
Me too! I did exactly that, hit the like when I saw her reaction to the cat.
Me too cat in video is automatic like
I recently started learning how to hand embroider. My best friend sent me a few kits in the mail & encouraged me to give it a go!
My mom passed away 7 years ago, when I was 20. She could sew anything! She made me clothes, costumes, Afghan blankets, she made all of my siblings a quilt with pillows to match! She just had a real talent.
So since I started, I keep thinking to myself, if only my mom was here to teach me this stuff, it would be so much easier!
But then.. I found your channel! I cannot tell you how helpful it has been! I’m awful at understanding what the instructions say and you always show things to clearly. You seem like such a sweet, insightful lady and I’m so grateful for your videos!
I'm sorry to hear your mum passed Taylor, hopefully my videso will help you on your stitching journey! x
Good for you Taylor! Learning to do something your mother did and enjoyed can be thought of as a way to connect to her now... a way to spend time enjoying a shared hobby. I do this when out hiking in the woods enjoying nature, collecting rocks, watching a water fall or the sounds of waves, I never feel alone. My father enjoyed these things, he graduated this life in 2005.
You present stitching tips and techniques in a way that is completely unique on YT. No frills and no shortcuts. I’ve learned techniques that I haven’t found elsewhere! Thank you a thousand times!
Thank you Kara for your kind comments! Keep watching, more on the way!
Same! My favorite embroidery/cross stitch tutorials.
Yes!!! These are my thoughts as well. She’s the best
I appreciate the realism of kitty jumping up onto the work table! Happens to me all the time!
How else do they get attention?! :)
Beautiful cat. So cute. I have a tabby and I know how nosey they are. Really helpful and relaxing tutorial. No music thank goodness. I’m just starting and have just received an Aunt Martha’s Iron On Transfer book called Sunbonnet Days and cannot wait to get started. Thank you for your lesson. Lesley x
I'm a total beginner when it comes to embroidery so I'm very grateful for your calm, relaxed way of teaching each new stitch. Your co-host is exactly what I needed to relax me into it 😉🐱
Thank you for leaving your sweet kitty in the video. I needed that 😻😹
Ahhhh. A morning dose of ginger cat therapy. Thank you!
That’s it, your accent, your smile, your work, and most importantly your kitty. Oh. My. Goodness, how I love cats.
I just find your channel, thank you very much to show how to embroidery. By the way, love your cat, it made me remember mine who I just lost. He loved to be around me when I was embroidering.
Your cat coming up to help was adorable. Loved it.
I love your assistant presenter....and I love your tutorials, you've helped me improve my stitching so much.
I think my assistant presenter has some training still to do!
Thank you for not getting annoyed at your kitty :)
I have one that loves to "help" too!!! :)
bless you (and your gorgeous cat), what a perfect time to take up more embroidery! 🌸
p.s. I learnt so much in the first 5 minutes 😲 and I love your hair!
Thank you Katy B! More videos on the way so keep watching! 💖
‘Time spent with a cat is never wasted’ ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love your video and how you explain. BUT, the furry baby is really cute! Thank-you
Thank god for Angels like you!
A lovely, lovely video, cats and stitching , a life affirming touch of sanity in tough times. Thank you Sarah for this and particularly for leaving the cat’s contribution in!

Your are a wonderful teacher! I have learn so much from you. 🐈 is a star too!!
Passing by for the stitching tutorial staying because of the cat.. 😻😻 -thank you!!
I love learning things. Wow! You’re amazing. Thank you.❤
I love the fact your cat wants to get in the video. I’ve never seen anyone put knot on right side and then making a couple small stitches before making stitch. I love your techniques. Thanks for sharing.
See my video on how to start and finish your threads for more info on this Maureen!
As usual excellent demonstration. And superb 'videography' of the process!!
Last but not the least, the way you indulged your cute cat for sure tells how patient a person you are :)
Your videos are so good -- easy to see what you're doing and like your easy manner.
Thanks so much for sharing your talent! Terrific video for beginners.
What a lovely video. You show great techniques. I also appreciate that you show how to end one thread and start another one in the middle of a stretch. Often people don't show this, and as the techniques become more complicated, it really matters. Thank you!
You are so kind and patient. Thank you for taking time to show us how to make beautiful embroidery. This is a gift that will last a lifetime. Thank you Sarah.
Awww, what a cute helper u got❤ thank u for video, very simple and calm way u explain)) u would make a brilliant teacher

Love the cat!
Thank you Sarah, very clear well paced instructions. I've just begun doing some embroidery for slow stitching, my eyesight is not the best, so I do the easy stitches. Your video is most helpful.
I am so thankful for this one. You go from start to finish and even give the needle size
Too funny, I laughed along with you when the cat jumped up. Mine is stretched out in front of me on the table, just in case she’s needed.
Thank you for these tutorials. I'm just beginning and these are helping me a bunch! (love the kitty too).
This is the second video I've seen of yours and both of them had a kitty in them. I expect this in every video now 😆
They don't get enough in appearance fees to be in all of them Tamra! :)
I love the kitty 🐱 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
28:07 aww you made me smile big of how adorable you truly are ☺️ I've learned so much thanks to you! So grateful!
Thank you Sarah, I’ve so enjoyed your podcasts. You have a great way of explaining, and you don’t rush everything! I’ve learned so much, looking forward to future lessons!
Thank you so much Mary! Glad you are enjoying
Thank you Sarah for this tutorial! You are incredibly clear in your speaking and in your instructions. I am just beginning and I have learned so much already. I cannot wait to check out the rest! Love the love from your cat. (: perfect addition and so honest to what life is about.
Love your kitty! I got my shipment today and I love your clamps for sewing, it is a must :)
half past 5 am and I can't sleep but my cat is snoozing beside me as I bingewatch these vids.
I love the cat 😊...thank you for sharing tutorial
Awwwwww sweet kitty 🐈⬛ ❤️
Talk about a scene stealer! She has beautiful markings!
He (a proper ginger Tom!) knows how to get some attention!
I am new to embroidery and also a left hander and am finding your tutorials amazing! Thank you for the lovely calming way you speak to us.....looking forward to watching all your videos!
You are a joy to learn from.
Pulling them out one at a time.... wow never knew that! Thank you so much. What a game changer.
No more knots Sue!
Thank you for your fine instructions. You make it look so easy. I am excited to use these stitches on my next project
Love Ginger cat 😄
Thank you for your effort and for the PDF. I love your tutorials as I always learn something new, or I’m reminded of something I had forgotten.
I’m glad you’ve included your cat - her little antics did put a smile on my face!
He is a proper ginger tom so has many antics...😆
I LOVE the cat and the close up views. Thank you.
I just found your channel and love your technique of teaching. I’ve learned so much, especially how you start your knots and beginning the stitches. So relaxing to watch and listen to you, and the closeups are superb! Thank you! You have a new subscriber !
☺️there so much negativity out there, makes it is SO wonderful to tune to a channel with a special person talking to us about something beautiful 💖. I’m a woman and I so appreciate this touch of normalcy, especially in today’s chaos.
Thank you so much for your kind comments Keepingourhome and for supporting me by watching my channel x
Thank you Professor Homfray
Thank you for sharing your skills and patterns, I can’t wait to get started on this sampling and improve my stitch 😊
Excellent...and the cat was a nice touch!
I have no control over the cat dot milly...! :)
You are a fabulous teacher.. I get so frustrated as I am a beginner but I persevere til I get it thanks to your gentle , clear instructions ☺️🪡
Keep things simple, just a few stitches and one kind of thread Becky while you build up your confidence! Small steps...
Thank you! I love your cat! ❤️❤️❤️
Sarah, thanks for such a clear, concise demonstration. This really helped me. 👌
Thank you for the demo and explanation!
Thank you this is great and I love the cat
Thank you so much 💗💗
Excellent teaching ❤
Ahhh que lindo gatito!! Amo o seu trabalho, magnifico! Parabéns!
More of the Cat? Yes please. Pat-South Padre Island. Texas
I'm sure he will make some more appearances! He does like attention....
cats make the best assistants :)
The best companions maybe, not sure about assistants!
I can’t even think of doing knots 🤷🏻♀️I’m doing this freehand…not much control. Can’t wait to get that barrel clamp! Hope you had a nice holiday! I’ll revisit this tutorial and do the second half later 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
Like your video. I use embroidery with my crocheting by making eyes mouths etc on my crochet animals, dolls, etc. my mom was an experienced embroidering and taught me. I’ve done crewel work, long stitches, etc. so appeciate your patience with your kitty. I’m a kitty lover too. DianA from NC
Your videos are so clear and calming (and as a bonus the mike picks up the thread sounds very nicely which I love), thank you from a beginner!
It’s so funny, your cats think you’re talking to them. Mine do the same thing when I’m on the phone. They’re so helpful.
How precious when the cat got up there. Plus your reaction was adorable
I shouldn't film near his feeding time!
Your baby is so precious! That was a perfect introduction!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🐱
I loved the help from your cat! I can relate!
Lovely video, u have saved me in my costume project
Glad to be of help Eddy!
I will try the coral stitch, i never try it before. Thank you!!
Oh gosh! So happy I saw this today. Just starting a dishtowel project that is all outline!
Good timing Shirley!
This video was very, very helpful. Thank you so much, Sarah!
You’re a lovely lady but your cat was the best part. So cute! You’re so talented. I’m still a beginner even tho I’ve done cross stitch and embroidery for years on and off. I’ve just recently got back into it after years. I’ve dived right in and am now embroidering clothing.
Yes, I know my place Amy! If I could get him to stitch I would be a millionaire....
Glad you are back into your embroidery and enjoying it!
Thanks for the wonderful video instruction. I love your furry helper, too. I love cats!
He needs some more practice on the 'helping' part...😆
Sarah you have such an easy no nonsense approach to your explanations . I'm an older beginner and you have taught me stitch names, uses and their variants so for that I thank you. You will be my go to woman for embroidery. :) ps love to the cat too!
Thank you Tracey, glad you are finding our videos useful!
I have the same love with my kitties😂
Your cat is pretty much identical to our ginger cat called Beanbag! Love that he joined in 😂😻
Beanbag is such a great name for a cat Anmarie!
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery ha ha! Well, he pretty much lounges around like a Beanbag so he earns the name!! 😂
Thank you for these tutorials. I too have needlework helpers like your beautiful ginger fellow. I've learned to embroider, sew or knit around them. :)
He likes to type also....:)
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery My 17 year old ginger fellow, Tristan, places himself on my computer desk right in front of my screen if I don't dish out enough pats while he sits on my lap at the computer.
Good job Sara
What a lovely cat! He’s gorgeous. Thanks for your instruction Sarah, your videos are very informative.
Glad you are enjoying the videos Christine!
Excellent!!!!! Love the way you explain and demonstrate the starting knot and stay stitch. Love!! your videos. Thank you!! 😊🙏🏽❤️
