The most impressive thing about Rush is live they sound just as good , often times better, than in the studio. It really is mind blowing that 3 people can recreate all that sound and blow away a stadium of fans show after show. There will never be a band like a rush again !
It is amazing how some power trios can put out such a full sound without a keyboard and rhythm guitar player. Grand funk, cream and ZZ Top along with Rush have to be at the top.. I got to see ZZ Top live about 27 years ago and when the plugged in the electricity in the air was already there before they hit a single note. When they hit the first few notes I was blown away at the full sound and pure power they were pumping out into the crowd. It takes some real serious musicians to fill out the sound with only 3 guys. This Rush performance I just watched gave me that same feeling at the ZZ Top show. Making me truly regret never getting to see Rush perform live. I’m blown away at the rich , full, powerful sound they are generating! I don’t know how they do it cause no one was over playing yet like the bros just said it sounds like you got 3 more musicians hiding in the back enhancing and filling out the sound! lol! These guys from Canada don’t play around, I’m sold on this one. Fucking fantastic!!
Still an extremely powerful and relevant song, all of these decades later. My personal favorite live version is from 1984 (when Geddy's voice was near its peak in my opinion); but this later version is still effective and impressive to watch and hear.
I will be so happy when you guys finally get to Headlong Flight, it is such an amazing jam session off of their final album and they were pushing 60 at the time
Don't know if it was your mix or the live mix but Alex was WAY OUT FRONT!. I loved it. Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand... ignorance and prejudice and fear walks hand in hand. Words that struck me and words I live by! Peace!!!
Cannot go wrong with Rush. Maybe one of these days you can go fully down that rabbit hole and get a full grasp on them. How they changed along the years with EVERY record. NEVER the same record TWICE!!!
Another new one to this Toronto boy/relative latecomer to Rush fandom, meaning 'Spirit of Radio', jamming with 'Moving Pictures' fresh off the shelf, playing a few with true tribute band fans in '05-07. Timely, doncha think? 🤔 Real never gets old, never truly dies. Rest In Peace, Neil, professor indeed. 🙏🏽😢💔 Merriest of Christmases, Happiest of New Years to you and yours. 🖖🏼😊🎶❤️🍁❤️🥃🎄✨️🕊
Ignorance and prejudice, and fear walk hand in hand. Neil was an amazing drummer, but he was an even better lyricist. Alex was the most talented overall IMO. Sure Neil played at a ridiculous level of skill, and Geddy was playing 3 different instruments while singing... but Alex was doing the work of 3 people, all on one guitar.... most of the time. Just upstaged by all the other shit going on on stage, while he made it look too easy like. Maybe he shoulda let his tongue hang out like Mike. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see these guys several times throughout the years. They were unique. Their music always had such an amazing positive vibe to it. Now when I listen to it, that joy is mixed with my feelings of loss at Neil's passing. 🤘🧙♂🤘
A great song with an important message that us sadly relevant still, when all the human race grow up and get past this stuff? Tremendous RUSH instrumentation and lyrics, one of the best they ever did, studio or live. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
😁 Reminded I always ended up liking songs on a Rush Album more after hearing it performed Live. Blessed to see them everytime they played MSG or The Meadowlands. 🥰🐰
If you guys watch more live rush, you should check out the older stuff!!!?? Not that Rush is great all the time! But to me, when they are younger, they really tear it up!! It is not as techno Rush. They are brilliant, but I prefer the older stuff, so watchers don't crucify me?
I love Rush, I love their music, lyrics, and them as people. This version had some great moments, but I absolutely hated Alex's guitar sound, something was really off and grating about it. Studio version doesn't have this issue - maybe some other live versions don't either, but this one. Ouch! Ok, that's my reaction. :) Peace out, thanks for bringing some Rush to my evening. :)
Thanks for this. Love Neal Peart. If You want to hear a great drum duet listen to this one with Phil Collins and Chester Thompson of Genesis...ruclips.net/video/sA3rJXV4R4E/видео.html

' Ignorance and prejudice and fear, walk hand in hand"! Indeed!
First The Allman Brothers & then Rush all in the same day? You Guy’s are going to spoil us. Great channel guy’s. Keep up the great work.
Love watching you guys rock! It’s a powerful song, and a powerful performance.

Yes, these lyrics are unfortunately way too appropriae to these days. :(

Just avoid the wingsuit video!
I saw this concert in Toronto. Always loved this song.
Quick note: Alex also had peddles he had to use to trigger keyboard or base sounds as required.

💞✌🏼
Even way before this, in the 70's, they had great sound and lights. Love that old Rush, man. The Professor.
"Jacob's Ladder" must be next... Please consider doing the Still Kickin video, it really complements the song well.! (Clouds, lightning and storms)
This song is fire. I have heard it at least 100 times and have not seen this live video... thanks Bros. 😎
I was at this show in Cleveland. Show was recorded
Same here! Floor on Geddy's side
You guys need to check out more of the early Rush. The Necromancer is a great song to check out.
Cannot go wrong with Rush. Maybe one of these days you can go fully down that rabbit hole and get a full grasp on them. How they changed along the years with EVERY record. NEVER the same record TWICE!!!
I love that ya’ll reacted to the live version. Intense and relevant.
thx again chaps....Rush live were superb😁👍
The hardest working 3 piece band in the world
I had the pleasure of seeing them along with Kiss, Blue Oyster Cult, and Fancy in 1974!! My ears rang for 3 days. Excellent reaction, fellas!!
The first time I ever saw Rush was with Blue Oyster Cult in 1976. What a show!
Powerful performance of a powerful song.
RUSH
In the top 3 of the greatest bands ever formed, period

Merriest of Christmases, Happiest of New Years to you and yours.
🖖🏼😊🎶❤️🍁❤️🥃🎄✨️🕊
This song is 43 years old and just as pertinent today as back then.
Vital Signs last song on this incredible album! Studio version then live from this same concert and you will see the power of Neil Peart!
Very nice! Thanks guys

#1 band of all time.

ps, as someone else has mentioned, 'Headlong Flight' from their last ever album is a monster..would love you two to react to that one👍
could you guys pls play working man live on the album all the world is a stage for one of the greatest DRUM solos ever pertty pls...
That was Awesome !
Vital Signs is a must has to be their most underrated but best song.
Excellent!
❤
Caress of Steel. Any song from that album.
Or any other better album! 🧐Sorry, but to me that's a fairly pedestrian effort in an otherwise transcendent catalogue.
🏆🏆🏆🏆!
Good morning! Here we go.
Countdown
Best band...ever.

Tough 🫡
More Live Rush. Red Sector A. NEXT....
'The world's smallest ever symphony orchestra'....
They're ok. I could use some more Rush In Concert just to be sure.
Live is the only way to listen to Rush. 3 dudes. Getten after it

This version has balls. Love it.
ruclips.net/video/-4DwbkdxQpE/видео.html a slightly different version
Another excellent rendition. That guy did a great remastering job!
Good live version, but the studio version is more definitive imho.
Good recording but the drums are usually much more prominent in this song.
Thanks for this. Love Neal Peart. If You want to hear a great drum duet listen to this one with Phil Collins and Chester Thompson of Genesis...ruclips.net/video/sA3rJXV4R4E/видео.html
3 virtuosos just up there making a masterpiece. Nothing to see here lol 😝
3 great musicians in search of a lead singer… I could never get past Geddy Lee’s voice…
