there are many SONY haters...but i always support SONY..because they don't follow the trend...they make unique devices..they always try to do something new..unlike others...moreover i hv trust upon Japanese technologies...

Litteraly every other phones has 865 also dolby atmos but the sony isn't a bad phone it gets a 7.5/10 from me i would definitely buy this if sony solved the issues

I got mine yesterday, I pre-ordered day 1. A little bummed out there no free preorder Sony wireless headset like they said. Excellent phone, will never go back to Samsung or iPhone.

@@Involvement82 had Samsung for 10 years. Love the Note series. Must over it. I been waiting for Sony to make a phone that meets the modern era. This is it! They are way late to the game but better late than never.
Samsung overheats too soon, too fast. The battery doesn't hold up after a year it start waning down. They rush produce and overload their product always glitchy. Features and overloading maxing everything out burns the phone out. Their camera stinks IDC how many megapixels I am always ashamed comparing my pics to an iPhone. Not no more, because this Sony Camera is the best camera on a phone today. Sony makes a more balanced device and they are slower with it but it is worth the wait.
I just needed a Sony that has wireless charge, water resistant, large screen, AF AE technology, snapdragon processor, expandable memory and this is the first Sony that has all these features.

@Tessoro Desoto I got it from Best Buy. I got it the exact 1st day pre orders began. The thing is, there were a lot of uncertainties at the time, because Sony did not give specific information. Many people were confused who gets it etc. I know they started it. And then Sony stopped the earbuds in the UK but I did not hear anything about it stopping here in the U.S. also I checked at the time I looked all over B&H, Best but and read forums people were asking and also Sony forums and nobody was provided with a direct answer.
Now, it is clear it shows "comes with free earbuds" but them, it did not. best Buy does not have it, B&H says they have it but also note the device is sold out so again... This promo was a disaster tbh and understand Sony is not used to doing this In Japan they don't do promos like this freebies... They adjusted to western way and Japanese were mad they did not get it there too. Just a mess.
Michael Ion I have a note 10 + , 11 pro max, and a one plus 7T, they all have their advantages and disadvantages. I love the s pen 🖊, and I love the OnePlus almost stock android and finally I enjoy IMessage and the quality of the apps on Apple. When I bought this Sony X Peria 1 ii, I definitely like the vibration feedback, the stock android experience with the google news feed, , my biggest gripe is because the aspect ratio is 21:9 it creates really big black pillars when watching videos and even when using some apps, it huge pillar gaps because of the aspect ratio but overall the phone was good ... the camera 📷 was actually average; didn’t really stand out, people are overhyping it. I think my next phone to try is the fold 2 because I love big screens

Amazing craftsmanship from SONY.! Great smart phone. I don't know why Sony is not giving any adds or publicity to this incredible product. I think people are still unaware of this smartphone's potential. It's a beast interms of performance and you are getting all the latest tech & specs. It's fantastic for gaming and photography, special Sony Alpha's burst mode tech 20 frames per second, proof that Sony is the unchallenged Emperor in Technology. It's marvellous for cinematography and a fantastic 4K screen is one of kind. A mind-blowing 360 degree surround sound tech with front firing 2 stereo speakers. A side mounted fingerprint scanner to avoid any damage, patching on screen while unlocking the phone via in screen fingerprint reader. A fantastic aspect ratio of 21:9 one of a kind. Anyone can hold the phone nicely. All are the boasting features of Xperia mark ii, I have serious doubt that how many of us know all these.

Sony Xperia still the best.
The Qi wireless charging is 11W. The S20 range is 4.4W, P40 Pro is 5W and OnePlus 8 is 10W. Others can be faster using a custom wireless charger, but on any generic one the 1ii would be fastest.

@@The-illuminated the US version doesn't have 5g, which I have no use for. I bought my Xperia 1 II because it checks everything off my list: flagship specs, headphone jack, high resolution OLED, front firing stereo speakers, sd card slot, HS Power Control (preserves the battery), great battery life, great cameras, no huge camera bump, and no UGLY NOTCH, HOLES, ETC.
I would love to buy this phone hopefully in 2022!!

Hi - I currently have an iPhone XS Max 256GB, haven’t upgraded to iPhone 11 Pro, have had apple for years and years, I’m thinking of going to Android and getting this Sony handset, a good choice and upgrade? want it to be 5G ready, but am I able to transfer all my videos and photos and notes from my iPhone to the Sony ?? Any advice would be great 😊

Im using sony phone starting from sony ericsson, sony arc, sony xperia z1 compact, sony xzs for 4 generation.. but now im using others phone because
*I can get higher GB RAM at almost same price e.g sony 8GB, others 8GB or 12GB
*Longer battery life e.g 5000mAh
*Sound audio and camera - others phone compete well

What phone do you use now? I still use xz premium and almost 3 years past, still works well at most of time but sometimes the reaction is just slow a bit (like when I try to use keyboard)
Also I never change the battery so you can imagine how fast it goes dead😂
I still love it definitely. However the iphone se 2020 is really a good deal so I hesitate that if continue choosimg sony or use se 2

Trying to decide between this and Oneplus 8 Pro. Headphone jack and form factor are big for Sony, but can always get a bluetooth/aux adapter so the OnePlus works with my older stereo with just an aux port. OnePlus is $200 cheaper and seems to win in many ways. I just dunno. Got a Note 8 right now and don't want another note (never use the stylus). Kinda wanting to avoid Samsung phones (not crazy about that curved edge) and LG doesn't really excite me. Seems the only options in the carrier stores these days are Samsung/Apple or LG. Most everything else ya gotta buy elsewhere. Like the squared edges of the Xperia, much like Apple phones. Prefer that over the Samsung curved edges, or rounded edges others use.

Try pouring water into 3.5 jack. That is how it got into my ip68 Xperia phone.
Pre ordered this early enough to get the free ANC wireless headphones but they failed in the fact that my order on Amazon was moved to possible sep 11 delivery date, and I haven't seen a single email or message explaining the delay. Rather annoying to pre order and still have to wait almost 2 months post launch.
I got mine from B&H and my earbuds will arrive tomorrow. High demand and low stock

Can't really say that the camera only takes good shots in pro mode (adding extra unnatural vibrant colours), when all you did was snap shots on a grey, low light day with smog pollution above. I prefer realistic photos and I've seen great shots from the 1 ii when compared to other flagships. I like that HS battery thing. Can plug in the charger while paying a game and not lose 30-40% after an hour of gaming, while conserving the battery level and longevity for later use.

Last Sony phone I had was Xperia Z Ultra and even though I KNEW (at the time) that it's not perfect - I still bought it.. Battery, BAD. Speakers, BAD. Camera, BAD. Everything else was ok.. but soo was the competition - and BETTER! I really WANTED that this phone is THAT ONE, that will show that Sony still can make GOOD phones.. but I guess this relationship is over. No other way to say it. This is the part when you just know.. that you need to move on. So.. if there is ANYONE of SONY CORP. watching this and reading our comments.. make MK III but make it GOOD! OR JUST QUIT THIS, BECAUSE YOU LOST IT! DO OTHER THINGS YOU DO GR8!

For a tech channel, I'm a little surprised with the inaccurate statement around the excellent sound quality out of the 3.5mm jack. This just isn't true and USB digital connections should be used whenever possible to an external device with DAC or dedicated DAC. The 3.5mm port is there for convenience, not audio quality.
It has DSEE HX and Dolby Atmos at least. Sounds good to me

Rather have a 1440p high refresh screen than a 4k normal screen... On a screen so small like a smartphone it's really insignificant as you showed in your previous video as well
They are more videos in 4k than high refresh on mobile phones lol...only thing that's useful is for games and none of the Android games have high refresh lol..so it's only for scrolling 😂😂😂...the quality of 4k display is obvious...play a video vs any phone and see the difference....it makes every phone look dull...high refresh on a tiny fast phone is gimmick too.

The smartphone experience is improved greatly when u feel that it's smooth. You touch and interact with it, compared to an excessive amount of pixels. Just go look at tech nicks 1080 Vs 1440 Vs 4k. The 1440 and 4k are neck and neck in terms of viewing experience
If you have short sight problems of course you won't find any difference. People say the same thing about 8k on a tv, but when you compare it with 4k, you'll know the difference. Go to the nearest tv store and check it out yourself.
@@redi6460 You just proved my point. You need to pull up both resolutions to find the flaws in 4k when you compare with 8k for TVs. Short sighted or not I would put my money that if I gave u individual phones to tell the resolution you would not even be able to tell 5/10 times. The same thing when it comes to the phones then. I'll take a 1440p 90/120hz all day over a pointless unnoticeable 4k 60hz.
