Oh J D, your stories are so relatable
To us older generation. My own children and grandchildren simply can not relate in any way to the way of life, with no television, internet, no indoor plumbing, no showers or tubs, cooking at a cast iron wood stove. And it being the only source of heat and hot water heating.
Have you ever wondered how they would survive if there were a catastrophic event to happen?

    • @theappalachiachannel

Thank you Jean, your right, a catastrophic event would ruin the modern civilization

Again I salute The Appalachia Channel for another heart-rendering tale enhanced by stark, poetic imagery. Especially moved by mountain top storm clouds superimposed over Cora's haunting, defiant stare...symbolizing turbulence within.
