- I believe this year's Elijah Craig Barrel Proofs were solid. I enjoyed all three releases and really enjoyed doing the blind. I was just a little surprised which one came out on top for me, but it was so close, it could easily go another way on a different day. That's what's great about bourbon!
**IMPORTANT**
As I had mentioned on the episode, the Riley Children's Hospital raffle that our friends over at SLB Drinks, Kurt and Trenton, do annually, ends this Friday, October 25th. For just $5.00 you can purchase a ticket (or as many as you'd like) for a chance to win a great bottle! There are well over 100 bottles in this year's raffle, including a George T. Stagg, a Pappy 15, and many, many other great bottles. Last year, SLB Drinks raised over $203,000 for this great cause. This year, they are already well on their way to crush that number! All of the bottles are donations from our great bourbon community, and 100% of all proceeds go directly to Riley Children's Hospital.

The proof is real!
Just picked up the C924 and had a tough time telling the difference from last year's C923. Both great!
Yeah, I really like this C924. It's really good! Thanks for watching and commenting. I truly appreciate it! Cheers!
Thanks for this video, it was exactly what I was looking for! Great breakdowns of the differences between each bottle. If I was following along correctly for the best two, it sounds like the B524 is more oaky and spicy while the C924 is sweeter and a bit fruitier? Both good for different reasons?
Everyone's palates are different, but yes, that's how it was for me. I thought the B524 and the C924 were very similar. The B524 did have a little more oak and spice characteristic to it, which I do like, and the C924 was a little more on the darker fruit, brown sugar side. To be honest, I really like both, and on any given day I could choose either one over the other. Just depends on which notes I was wanting at the time. Thanks for commenting and for watching. I do appreciate it!
Just opened my first C924 was a bit underwhelmed. I loved the B524 - bought two cases of it! I didn’t care for A when it came out, but revisited a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Will blind all 3 in several weeks, once the C batch has some time with air on it.
@@brettheiner7125 I thought the C924 and B524 were very similar. I liked the palate of the B524 a little better than the C924, but I liked the nose and finish better on the C924. I normally side with the best palate, but since I was basing the blind off of all 3...the nose, palate and finish, that's why I went with the C924 to win the blind. Thanks for the comment and for watching. I appreciate it! Cheers!
