I like how he said "beer" instead of beverages. All guys know why we buy Yeti coolers. Lol.

Correction at 1:54 mentions its a 45qt capacity....thats not correct its a 45 model however if you do the math 9.4 gallons = 37.6 quarts. The front sticker shows 9.4 gal.

Every single review I have ever seen about yeti coolers, people blast the hell out of them lol. According to the RUclips experts Yeti finishes dead last behind every other root molded cooler on the market lol. Must feel pretty good being the measuring stick for the rest of the industry lol.

We certainly don't think they are the measuring stick for the rest of the industry. A lot of companies make great roto molded coolers, and Yeti is just one of them. In the end it usually comes down to features, as well as the general look and feel of the cooler. It just depends on what your particular needs are. If you don't need to keep ice for more than a few days you probably don't need a roto molded cooler at all.

I returned my YETI 65 I have a video as well. Once I had ice melt and water in the cooler. I loaded it up (Jammed it in the car) and noticed it was leaking out the seal all over the back seat. I think it holds ice very well (if you prep the cooler.) If you don't ice melts just as quick as any cheap cooler. It isn't a grab and go cooler. But I get the same results with my ARTIC cooler with zero water leakage. Plus its 200.00 cheaper. There is many cheaper coolers out there that preform just as well as a YETI. Most of the time a lot cheaper. (Cabelas brand is just as much) But some people are just a brand nut and like to spend the extra cash to see that YETI label at their camp site. I guess if you have it spend it.

I agree with you. When this video came out there were very few roto-molded options. RTIC launched a year after this was made. These days there are MANY excellent choices for cheaper than what YETI is still charging.

My experience at 1:31 with some melted water in the cooler....it will leak out, the seal is definitely not water tight

Nothing is water tight and excellent observation.

I have only web access to view the cooler. Family of 4 for car long car trips. I need opinions: 45 over the 45? or bump up to 75? Gonna go in back of suv on trips.

Everyone always bashes on yeti in the comments, if yeti's suck so much than why is every other roto cooler almost an exact copy of a yeti? Orca, rtic, grizzly all copied off the yeti design and rtic is currently being sued by yeti...I do agree that pelicans are tough as nails, I trust their cases to protect my most expensive guns so why not my beer? It's simple, because I just like the yeti brand and I can't spend my money on on whatever I want.

Yeti started the roto trend, other brands have surpassed them at a cheaper cost.

300 dollars and they can't even be bothered to include a set of wheels in the floor. I got mine for free as a Christmas gift from work and I honestly don't understand the hype. It's a cooler, it works. So do the other much cheaper brands.

Is it 45quart? Or is that just the model number? Looks a bit small.

Yeti capacity is a bit misleading because the number measures the overall size of the cooler. The Yeti 45 actually holds 37 quarts.

I have an Ocra 40 heavy duty and a Yeti 45 tundra. I'm out in the field everyday and my Orca beats the Yeti by far. My Yeti lasts 4 days, the Orca went 6 days no pre cold in this hot Texas heat. Farming or clearing land you don't have time to waste pre cooling. The whole reason I spent $600+ and ice chest too see who really lives up too it. Both in same place at the same time. I'm sure others have different results, but that was mine.

Yeti coolers are nice good quality, but I also have a Pelican pro gear cooler and that thing is a yeti on steroids.

+Mario Gomez I also have both the Yeti and a Pelican. The Pelican is the better box IMO. You can't go wrong either way, but I do lean on my Pelican when we enjoy our South Florida summers!

+Dr Carl Hill just the fact that the Pelicans are not any cheaper and the Pelicans charge additional 60 for the basket? no thanks

Haters take, doing be an idiot some other coolers perform better. Cool fine. Yeti defenders take, its the best and if you can’t afford don’t knock it. Who cares. Got the jack drop it. Kids learn not to care what others think, unfortunately trolls never did. I’m in the process of buying a 45 and don’t care what others think. You don’t like the whole world NOT agreeing with you too bad buttercup, take a mental health day from work you’ll be okay I promise. Peace ✌️
