I enjoyed your video, my question is why are you using 230 gn in a Compact 45 ACP I believe if you shoot 185 or 200 gn will be much better on the slide since it is much shorter than the full size 1911, and you 100 percent correct Lee makes an excellent product for the cost.

I would like to know how you are not getting powder all over the bench from the lee powder measure. Mine drops powder every where.

The first thing I suggest to do with the lee measure is to lap the drum. Take just a little tooth paste and spread it around and then work the drum like you would dropping powder. It will smooth out the surfaces tremendously. This should help with your issue as well as make the operation smoother.

Measuring each powder charges and lenght on each cartridge would completely deny the purpose of progressive press. I wouldn’t bother even on single stage. Measure first 5 powder charges and lenghts and done, reload. Heck, I don’t do that even for competition .223s, I only check them in caliber and check primers

He’s belling em too much . U only do that to not shave the bullets especially with lead. U do it just enough so when u seat the brass sits as if u didn’t expand at all. That’s how I do everything even lead. Just feed it in the die they do t have to sit pretty in a bell. Most acp dies are taper crimp anyway so if u adjust the die body down u wouldn’t get that anyway. I use a rcbs roll crimp seat die but never adjust it to hit. I just barely use it as a taper crimp if that.

Old video but he didn't tare weigh the pan first so he didn't know exactly how much powder was in the pan.

You don't need to tare off the weight of the pan if you know what the pan and the charge weigh together. My pan weighs 115.4 grains To that I add the weight of the charge which comes up to the final weight that I am shooting for.

There’s no evidence in the clip to support your claim. It may have been done in advance. What has been done in advance in this clip is what let’s the whole clip down. It’s a very half-assed instructional video.
