The best "no nonsense" approach to this recipe I've seen. So many complicated videos out there, I realised that most of them are just trying to look sophisticated but I'll wager this method gets results as good as the best of them and better than most of them. This is also more adaptable to different tastes.
When my daughters were little they eat most of the pot of butter noodles. Now my granddaughters have taken their place. My wife brought home Land o Lake garlic and herb butter to try with noodles. It was amazing.
When my daughters were little they eat most of the pot of butter noodles. Now has stage 4 heart disease and type 2 diabetes, no one will take their, place. My wife bought land o lakes garlic and herb butter to try with noodles, it clogged our arteries slightly more it was amazing
Comfort food at its finest!! Pasta, butter, Parmesan and garlic is always my go to easy, fast, comfort food, yum!!! Plus, butter egg noodles (I like the thick Amish style) are so good with pot roast!!! Can’t wait to have that when the weather cools down! Thanks, Angelica!
Thank you. This recipe brings back many childhood memories. My three sisters and I grew up on buttered noodles and, now at age 75, I still make this dish about twice/ month.
I made this a few weeks ago and we LOVED it! So simple but so goooood! I warmed some up the next day adding more cheese and still good! I’m making it again tonight for dinner along side some chicken. So this one is a tried, tested and approved in our home 😁❤️
Whenever I make this I make it with garlic butter. Just melted butter and minced garlic, then I will add in to the noodles with parmesan cheese and parsley. It's so good
I’m glad you did this. I almost forgot about this dish! We loved it as kids. My mom would boil chicken, then add the noodles to the broth afterwards. Yum!😋
sorry to be so off topic but does someone know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
I just made a pot roast last night! Yes I still have the drippings, so I can make an awesome home made gravy to go over the noodles! Thank you Simply Mama!!!
I made your easy enchilada sauce and made chicken and Monterey Jack cheese enchiladas. I couldn't find corn tortillas so I used flour ones and it was delicious. Thank you for making accessible recipes! Where I live in Canada there are many Asian grocery stores so Korean ingredients are easy to come by, but Mexican ingredients are not readily available. I'm so happy that I could make yummy enchiladas without needing 3 different types of dried peppers!!!
I make this very similar but I burn my butter in a separate sauce pan then add to noodles and add the rest of the ingredients as you did , by burning the butter it gives it a whole different flavor a little on the nutty side but trust me it’s a game changer ! Love all your recipes thank you for sharing !
My mom made these when I was a kid and now I make them for my family...we call them “good noodles” they are delicious....and YES I always make mine with roast too👍🏼👍🏼
I love that I look something up and it’s your recipe. Already been a fan for sometime. Cooking this up tonight but adding some Sun dried tomatoes. Side of sautéed summer squash & chicken parm with my own scratch tomato sauce. Have. Lovey weekend!
That looks absolutely delicious! And I LOVE how you reiterated how to wait until it's all put together to decide on salt. It drives me nuts when I watch cooking videos and they're like, "and add 1 teaspoon of salt" and here they are pouring a quarter cup of salt in lol
What a coincidence! I just made my meal plan for a few days, one is juicy meatballs and I thought I'd serve them with butter noodles and was going to look for a recipe and this video came up. Thank you!
this is great for some nights when you dont really want too cook but you still want something for dinner. ive just made some fresh egg noodles. ive made the long thin type ones with my pasta machine both very thin and some a little wider. i will have to try this out now, for dinner tonight
Thank you for this cheap and easy side dish recipe. This was great with the Hungarian Gulyash I made the other night and I'm making it again tonight to pair with some Swedish meatballs.
I know this video is over a year old, but one option if using as a Cajun pasta side is to heat the heavy whipping cream and butter in a pan (big enough to toss the pasta in when ready) until you get a creamy consistency. Then toss the cooked pasta in the pan with the sauce and toss. This is the base recipe for chicken, sausage, of shrimp Cajun pasta. In stead of parsley, you can garnish with thinly sliced chives.
To Italian Americans, this is pasta burro, a staple dish, and one that you can always make if you're out of everything. My fave growing up. I guess formally it's pasta al burro but no one says that. Burro in Italian is butter, not donkey, FYI. We'd probably use less butter and more parmesan, but the choice is yours.
Simply mama, how did you know I was making this later for dinner. While the egg noodles cook I heat butter and EVOO to frying pan. Add onion/garlic powder, a little pepper flakes. Toss it all together and yes yours looks great also.

I love butter noodles. Just one of those things that you must make now and again.. it never gets old.
Pure comfort food. They were my crave when pregnant.
You should try it with Kerrygold butter next time. The best!
Kerrygold is the best
Kerry is the best!!!
Kerry gold butter with olive oil is amazing
Did Kerry gold get rid of the issues w their packaging? I stopped buying it because the company admitted they found pfas on it's foil packaging.
Whenever I make this I make it with garlic butter. Just melted butter and minced garlic, then I will add in to the noodles with parmesan cheese and parsley. It's so good
I love how you keep it so simple. It's such a pleasure to watch your videos.
The pot roast on noodles is so satisfying. Comfort food!😋👍🏻
I’m glad you did this. I almost forgot about this dish! We loved it as kids. My mom would boil chicken, then add the noodles to the broth afterwards. Yum!😋
Same! Until I turned 12-13 I started cooking it myself since it was so easy!

My mom made this as a side dish growing up I haven’t had it in forever omg so good too
That looks absolutely delicious! And I LOVE how you reiterated how to wait until it's all put together to decide on salt. It drives me nuts when I watch cooking videos and they're like, "and add 1 teaspoon of salt" and here they are pouring a quarter cup of salt in lol
This is a struggle meal for my family. I usually add a can of chicken or beef, carrots and peas. Fills the tummy nicely.

I make that all the time! Hubby not so keen, but he’s the cook 👨🍳
Omg this is like Knorr's butter and Herb pasta but better! I'm gonna try this tonight
Your comment reminded me I still had a half package of Knorr Alfredo fettuccine, which I made for dinner with some peas tossed in. Good stuff.

Love buttery noodles yum!
You can make simple noodles look like a meal for a king.
Some people put nutritional yeast in their butter noodles. I personally haven't ate it that way but some say the yeast is really good in it.
