4:13 one of my favorite scenes just from the way he says it, you can tell how much they have longed for a place to belong, the promised land, their home… (even if later they realized it was adventure they crave and not a home). I really like the Ganja squad, their struggle and their dream.
I despise Wazukyan for what he put Irumyuii through. For heavens sake, at least let her hold the damn child, and don't offer Irumyuii's maternal figure to cook her "grandchildren".
It's f*cked-up, and I suspect he'd be more of a sympathetic moral grey character if he expressed hesitation/remorse for his actions. The Ganja Squad is somewhat like a variation of the Donner Party and lots of other people in history that had to survive in an extreme environment (via cannibalism), and a lot of survivors that had to do that came away from the experiences scarred/traumatized by what they had to do to survive, including what was left of the Donner Party. Wazukyan embracing a lot of what was happening head on made him a good leader during desperate times for the Squad, but outside of that I can see that it's hard to like him as a character since he doesn't show the same kind of hesitancy that Vuueko and Belaf did.
They were all fucking dying from poisoned water in gruesome way and you are asking him to risk their lives and prolong suffering for happiness of one person even though it was endless cycle of tragedy. The children were going to die anyway so why the fuck should they put their short lives above those who can and should survive?
@@Scarshadow666 The Donner party is an interesting comparison. Especially since they were doomed more because of extremely planning and general stupidity.
