I have just bought an oscillator 2 and i came on youtube just to hear if it was any good for techno....turns out that in the right hands it is pure fire
Hey! First of all great set, love to see people play the modular! Can you maybe explain a little bit more how Marbles and arpitect interact with one another if at all. I'm having trouble making my Marbles sound musical or at least get some better results in terms of basslines and melodic stuff. I know this video is really old by now but maybe you can tell me some secrets about how to handle Marbles. Merci!
Hey, thank you! In this video the Marbles random output goes both into the Arpitecht transpose input and to the first VCO v/oct. Then the Arpitecht output goes to the second VCO v/oct. If you have trouble making Marbles sounding musically, you can program your on scale on it, check the manual, the operation is quite easy. Have a nice patching day!
NCLSRD Frequencies awesome thanks man!!! Love the bass drum in this track... currently shopping around for bass percussion modules. BIA, Plaits, and now the SSF Entity BD all look like great options!
Thank you Gregory! A raisonnable way to enter Eurorack and have fun with patching would be to go for a used Mother 32.. quite cheap, internal sequencer, good sounding and can be integrated to your future Eurorack monster case 😊👍. Cheers.
To expand on his Mother 32 idea. There are numerous semi-modular synths available now in addition to Mother-32. Start with one (Check out the Behringer Crave - a copy of Mother 32 for $500 less) or a pittsburgh lifeforms SV-1. Semi-modular is the best of both - it works as a regular synth with no patching and you can also patch all kinds of modular to it. That way you'll get the function of a modular but also be able to play right off the bat without building a full synth from scratch. You can get a Crave for $200. If you want to start with all modular, it's gonna cost around $1500 to build a basic functional synth out of numerous modules. Make sure your semi-modular has a sequencer because you need something to act as the brains to keep all of the various inputs in time and in key.
@@kyudechama thank you ! You're right, often, working with a small setup and limitations, open the way to your creativity ☺️ it s a good exercice to downsize your setup.
One of the best if not the best techno Eurorack session's I've ever heard 👌
Not gonna lie, that shit digs deep into the core

Very nice. Awesome sequencing and realtime performance! What's the WMD module next to the SSF... I think Entity Bassdrum?
ChronoMod thanks! Yes it is the Entity Bassdrum. It requires a bit of hp but offers a wide range of BD sounds.
sick :)
💙💚❤🎱
killer set!! do you have modular grid link to this setup?
Nathaniel thank you! I have a rack on modulargrid that I've used on another similar liveset: www.modulargrid.net/e/users/view/131062

@@npawelczyk yes the SSF is great! Really nice when coupled with a small compessor, it worths the HP 👍
NCLSRD Frequencies thanks for the tip!
Wooow. Super impressive! What's the cheapest I can start getting into modular you think?

Whats sequencing the two main voices?
Hi, Arpitecht & Marbles.
what did u used to generate kick drum?
Hi Zagoorland, in this jam i was using the SSF Entity Bassdrum, very nice kick, but now i have switched for the Jomox Modbase 09 👍.
use any qu-bit sutff?
Hello Hyder Hydra, sorry no, no qu-bit stuff used at this time.
incredible jam! how do you sequence your v/oct?
Hi Johoho, V/Oct is managed by a combinaison between Marbles & Arpitecth 👍
@@NCLSRD thank you! i really like what you are doing with such a "small" system!
@@kyudechama thank you ! You're right, often, working with a small setup and limitations, open the way to your creativity ☺️ it s a good exercice to downsize your setup.
@@NCLSRD exactly! i am trying to model my system in a way similar to yours. it sounds really perfect
Circles on drums?
Hello, for this one yes.
Comment tu fais les voix ? Super liveset 🎧☺️
Are marbles and the EC the only sequencers for this patch? or is there something off screen?
Hello Nero. There is also an arpitecht from wmd. Nothing offscreen. Cheers.
@@NCLSRD Nice!
What is the main voice?
Main voices are from the WMD Spectrum and from the Malekko Richter oscillator 👍

Pity that the bass sound is so loud and the decay on it is too long. But otherwise sweet jam
Thx for the advice 👍
