  • A lacy V-stitch blanket pattern featuring a twist on the easy and beginner-friendly V-stitch!
    I love the crochet V-stitch. It is so easy and fun to do! This V-stitch is updated to create an even more interesting lacy stitch with fabulous gorgeous drape!
    This blanket is worked center out as a square so it is very easily customizable. Just work additional rounds for a larger blanket and fewer rounds for a smaller blanket. No need to worry about foundation chain multiples on this one which is one of the great things about a center out square!

    Stitch markers are a great idea to mark the corners. I am an intermediate crocheted, but I still some when learning a new pattern. Cheers!

    Very Beautiful Lacey looking Afghan. Have you ever made it with a Lion Brand Mandala Ombre Cake, do all Lion Brand Mandala Cakes feel the same, just wondering if I could combine cakes and they would not notice any difference. I cannot go to a store to find out. I'm house bound.
    Have a Wonderful, Memorable, Christmas, and New Year ! Renae

      Thank you - so glad you like it! I haven't made it with Lion Brand Mandala but I think it would look lovely in that yarn! I would say most of the Mandala cakes could be combined without issue - most really feel the same. I hope that helps! Have a Happy Christmas & Blessed New Year! 💕🌸

      @@nanascraftyhome I was wondering how you do not end up with large holes at the corners? I keep pulling it out because the corners seem to get bigger holes as it gets larger then stretch out from the weight . Any suggestions to prevent this?

    Can this stitch be done with a bulky yarn?

    • @nanascraftyhome
      @nanascraftyhome  Год назад +1

      Absolutely this stitch would be fine with a bulky yarn. If you are looking to add a little more drape to it I would recommend increasing a hook size from the recommended size. Work up a swatch and see how you like it. I hope that helps! 🌸💕

    Isn't it silly and unproductive to be messing with stitch markers? I'm dizzy from watching you. Pity I won't be trying this patter.

      I am sorry you found that distracting. I like to give helpful tips to newer crocheters that may have problems finding those corner spaces from round to round. I never use them myself but definitely a personal preference. Thank you for your feedback 💕

      How silly and unproductive to comment on the use of stitch markers by someone doing countless numbers of new crochet enthusiasts. Take from this excellent tutorial what applies to your liking or take your dizzy self to a "no tips for those who know it all" video.

      I’ve been crocheting for almost 25 years, and when I’m doing a blanket in the round, I mark every corner no matter what the pattern is. I get into a rhythm of doing the stitches and if I’m not careful, I skip the corner stitches and have to end up frogging a whole row. This is a very helpful tip, whether you are a beginner or not. I really can’t wait to try this one. It’s so pretty!
