I usually rely on written instructions for anything I’ve ever crocheted. This is the first time I relied on a video only and I’m so pleased with the ease that this baby blanket came together! Thank you so much. I initially purchased this yarn to make a different blanket from a different designer but quickly gave up because I couldn’t understand the pattern. Again, thank you, I’m on the last side row of this blanket, then off to wash and block it.
Jayden. I watched your tutorial on the Chevron stitch. Your ,the only instructor, that doesn’t do sample stitches, demonstrates the stitch pattern close up and explains every step, clear and precise. After a few tries , I finally learned how to do the Chevron stitch, watching your tutorial. 💜. 🧶
Have you already seen Fiber Spider's tutorials? He does the same thing, I can tell, because I'm a big fan of him doing crocheting. Highly recommended👍😀
I love patterns like this for baby blankets. They always turn out nice, don't always need a border and they really don't take much yarn to make a decent size baby blanket.
Love Lion Brand! I have many Mandalas. I'm going to make several new mothers happy soon! Baby blankets here I come!!! My thanks to Jayda Institches and Lion Brand!😀😉
You are an excellent instructor. So detail oriented, which is something I really like. You are always so bubbly nice. I love tuning into your tutorials. I can also tell you really know what you are doing, and you love what you are doing. You are such a breath of fresh air. God bless you Jayda. fresh
I love this! I'm not typically a person who follows patterns I usually make my own (I mostly make blankets), but I'm also disabled and very poor so I usually only use scrap yarn I get a re use shops. But 4 yrs ago I splurged and bought 2 balls of this yarn, I have been hesitant to use it cause it's so pretty and I wanted them to be special. Well as soon as I saw this I ran to my yarn stash and started this immediately! I'm making it a little wider and longer cause I have 2 balls (hoping for a toddler throw). I can't wait to get further into it to really appreciate the pattern. I have a feeling it won't take long! Thank you so much! So easy and pretty. If you could post more videos of patterns that don't use a ton of yarn that would be lovely!
Hi Danielle! Thank you for watching 😊 We have a LOT Of single ball projects, in fact, here's our playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLU-tvdaf-FneL5PKj9ayz62i30U0F9XZm
I just bought a large amount of Mandala yarn by Lion Brand. Michael's just had a good sale on them. I told you in a different tutorial about making a blanket for a new Granddaughter being born next month. This is such a cute little blanket & so easy to make while watching TV. Thank You Jayda I've followed you for years and appreciate your cheerful attitude especially during time's that's brought so much heartache & grief! You're always such an Inspiration and a Joy to watch and/or just listen to. Have a Great Time the rest of the week and a Blessed Weekend in a few days. With ❤️ from 🇺🇲 to ALL of you in 🇨🇦!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻🤗💖🍁🌷🌹🌺🌻🥂☮️
I just finished my very first baby blanket! I have been crocheting for a while but usually felt intimidated to create a baby blanket. This is a beautiful pattern and very easy to pick up. I used the same brand of yarn but different color. I used a 4.5 mm hook, so used one cake and part of another. Thank you so much!
I'm am making this for a baby shower so easy and quick 😜 My first time working with this yarn. Girrrrrl I am hooked!!! 💕 Will be making the vintage baby booties to go with the gift. Even going to try they egg baby rattle. Ty Jada
Yes yes yes... One cake projects!! And I have this exact yarn! Thank you so much Jayda and Lion Brand! P. S. I made the other baby blanket using one cake of Mandala.. I think it's called the pixie blanket. The recipient LOVED it!!
I live in Vancouver Washington and can't thank you enough for a project using one mandala ball of yarn. So exciting. Enjoy you and your channel! Thank you. Can't wait to be as good as you and have my own stash ( organized like you). Take care sweetie! Your tutorials are great!
Can you tell me how many chains to begin with so that I can make a regular size blanket. Jada is simple awesome. I hope she answer my question about this.
I love a two row repeat and one cake of yarn projects! Thank you for this. I am a huge fan of Mandala and have so many cakes of it. I’m going to make this in “Griffin”. 😊
Gorgeous blanket, I just love those colors I have that yarn in several colors but I'm going to do a blanket in this stitch with the groot I think it will make up nicely 😄.
I recently finished a baby blanket very similar to this pattern for my friend who’s having a baby in May. I used Bernat Blanket yarn for its super softness & bulky, cushiony feel. This pattern works up super fast. I think it will be my go-to from now on for baby blankets. I will try the mandala yarn next time! Love the colors! Thanks, Jayda!
LOVE this simple yet very pretty/unisex blanket 😍😃. Can't wait to make it & going to immediately share the tutorial with a niece who is new to crochet! I taught her how to knit years ago, but crocheting only fairly recently clicked for her. It was her mom who I learned how to crochet by watching (when I was in junior high school)😊. THANK YOU for this way fast and pretty pattern 🤗😺🙉
I'm not sure how you read my mind, Jayda, but I've been plotting a brick-stitch blanket with Mandala yarn for a couple of weeks now. This tutorial will help make it a real thing, now! Thank you for posting.
I loved the way this baby blanket looks that I ordered the mandala yarn to make one. It's so different it makes it even more special. I like the colors which I ordered because I have never seen a baby blanket like this. Congratulations!

My baby blanket was this stitch. It was put into storage and unfortunately became a home for rats and had to be thrown out. It broke my heart. I’ve been scouring stitch books, videos, etc for the stitch and I found it! I can’t wait to recreate my baby blanket! ❤❤❤
Beautiful. I made a sweater with the finished one you showed. I am knitting some legwarmers with a ball divided in half right now while watching this. Oh and I have 3 more balls of it and was looking for ideas. This is perfect! You read my mind. Thank you.
Beautiful! Adding your baby blanket pattern to the top of my “to do” list! And what a neat way to make a border - love it! Thank you so much for sharing such a great tutorial. 😊
