Hi Ken You have some really rare HiFi (or LowFi ) equipment. Does your son collect this vintage technology as well? One day he sure is going to have a priceless collection! I have a few of these Edison cylinders but nothing to play them on. They were pre recorded music that was sold on these before the flat records came out which I'm sure you already know,. Nice video demonstration Ken!
My son has no collection. He is a high-level tech, and programmer. I guess he has no reason to collect, since he will inhereit all my stuff. Ha. THanks for the comment.
Thank you for demonstrating that the Ediphone is capable of reproducing a recording after one hundred years without any software updates !. The recording lamp is flashing consistently and looks to be intentional, is it steady when playing ?. Best wishes from the UK
The lamp is just flashing. I did not take it apart to see if it is flashed internally with some kind of switch, or just a flashing lamp. Good question, and welcome from the UK!! Ihave a few repair customers your your side. Thanks for checking in.
I wonder how many digital dictaphones will still work after 100 years ?. LOL. (I had to look away everytime you tried to move the head with it in the play position)
I know, I finally figured that out. I have a digital tape recording device. It is a jewel. Uses super tiny tapes, Maybe yoiu saw that video. Thanks for the comment, and faithful viewing!
