Thanks again. Its also my favorite of my rigs! I showed it a little love recently though-added a winch (hidden behind front bumper), added working roof rack lights finally and not so recently added working head/side/tail lights.
thanks. most are somewhat custom but you can start with a Tamiya kit, such as the Hilift, Hilux, Tundra or Pajero (different chassis than the previous ones).
thanks. They're both something else... Each has a custom chassis and is assembled using some custom parts and random parts from other trucks. My range rover has transmission from a stampede, TLT-1 axles, shocks from a mini lst and the body from some random street rc toy. Same for the toyota. Original Bruiser body and interior but the underpinnings are all new.
that was the COOLEST RC CAR I HAVE EVER SEEN! omg i want one!!!! where do i get them???? awsome camera work dude, and cool place to drive the cars...where did u find all the mini trails!!! u r so lucky
@Scousers25 -If you wanted to get started the best kit (you assemble) or ready to run truck comes from Axial. Check out their SCX-10TR or Honcho (one or two other similar ones they make that are "Trail Ready". These are complete including radio. You could start with that ($300-$350) and add or modify as you go. Most start with wheels and tires first. Many upgrade with a different body.
thanks saifmohmmed! I made it. Pieced it together from parts of other rc trucks as well as a bit of hand fabrication. chassis is hand made. axles come from a tamiya TLT-1, shocks from a MLST, trans from Stampede. Body pulled from cheap toy grade RC bought at Wal-Mart.
me too! wait... Building a range rover classis at the moment, among other things. that body came from a NewBright toy RC, still available for $35. Then you'd need everything underneath (you could buy the tamiya hilift kit and this to make a full running rig). p-
thanks oliroolz! the toyota can be bought as a kit from Tamiya, but the one here is all custom except for the body, same as mine. The area, Vasquez Rocks State Park (google it) is a HUGE park out in the desert an hour outside of Los Angeles.
yes. the original body came black with lots of bright silver trim and a chrome grill. I painted the body because I like how the pillars are all black on the 1:1 and I wanted to be able to see that. I also pulled the head/taillight lenses to paint the detail inside them like the 1:1. I painted the chrome grill, side grill, handles, etc gunmetal and painted the rocker panels black.
Thanks ratonL. The toyota can be bought as a kit from Tamiya (Hilux Hilift), but the one here is all custom except for the body, same as mine. The song I think is a Marilyn Manson song but can't remember exactly.
@ThatKidDied -I don't but know there are some. There is a whole contingent of UK guys on scale4x4rcDOTorg so you could go there and ask them. I'm sure there is/are local UK scale rc forums too. Good luck! pablo-
@pantablo the problem of my Discovery its the power and the tires...the tires are huge and the power its not that big so, i need to find some smaller tires or new motors(engines...i dont know exactly :D
Use what I can from it if I part it out. I'll then sell the parts I don't use if they're worth something or keep them for another build. Sometimes I'll sell a rig. I've sold a few but don't generally sell them.
wow ur pretty skilled!..and thats not as expensive as i thought! but still a lot.... i have one of those petrol powered RC 1/10 buggies...it can go like 60kph and do big jumps, but couldnt do that kind of off roadin.....doesnt look as cool either....
I'm not sure if I was watching the real thing or not! Amazing vehicles. Really brings a new perspective on "scale" RC. Keep it up!

First time, i was thinking thats it was a real one!
5* dude! :D
@psd2002 - those are all custom. Good place to start are Axial's SCX-10 (several types) or Tamiya Hilift/Hilux/Tundra kits.
This is sooo cool! :)
Thanks PJManso! Its amazing to see my rig a year and a half ago and how different it is now...more beat mostly, lol.
thanks. I love them too.

WOW!! YOU BUILD SOME REALLY BAD A!@ RIGS. I REALLY LOVE YOUR 80'S 4RUNNER. Where can I buy that body?
thanks. lots of work goes into the trucks to make them look as scale as possible, as well as shooting them in such a way to play that up.

Thank you! I keep making videos once every couple weeks...

Cheers.
yes, the petrol (nitro) cars are a totally different animal. these are battery powered, quiet and slow...quite fun and challenging.

Thanks jaguarxjrv8. I love hearing that. I often try very hard to get it looking like 1:1.
@pantablo the problem of my Discovery its the power and the tires...the tires are huge and the power its not that big so, i need to find some smaller tires or new motors(engines...i dont know exactly :D
did u paint the body???
Thank you STdemoniac!
thats great. I try to shoot it in such a way to look like its the full size truck off-roading.
thanks Damino95. They're really fun to drive too.

@RipMK747 -Thanks!
@counterclockwise123 -Thanks!
@sachiv84 -Correct.
@Scousers25 -You can't. Each of these is custom, made up of various parts sourced from other rc's and some hand made parts.
thanks t6658! I appreciate it. Definitely try to shoot it so it looks as 1:1 as possible. I've broken it several times, lol. Lost one finally too.
