@@imspooki88Definitely try the Primes. They’re incredible! If you’re gonna try the classic style ones again, a lot of people love Fusion. I can’t recommend Dread enough though. The gameplay is smooth as butter! It gets very challenging, but feels great to overcome the bosses once you figure them out.
I would love Metroid to qualify, but every single game since Super Metroid has been a bigger disappointment since the last. The art direction, the cumbersome story, Adam, Samus's relationship with Adam, the absolutely awful and blurry 3d graphics (seriously, Mario 64 had more polygons than Prime), and purposely spreading the games over as many consoles as possible (over $2000 dollars in hardware required to play all these games without emulation, which Nintendo bleeds money to prevent, I wonder why) Zero Mission and Fusion did kick ass though.
Grew up with DS Castlevania games, still own them. They're not as good as SOTN though. Castlevania 1 is not a bad game, it's just hard. And yes MGS games are best when they're not emulated. Also lol, Mega Man X and X2 are easy. X3 is kinda hard at the start
Haha that’s awesome, I didn’t meant to say Castlevania 1 was a BAD game it was just so frustrating cause I’m so bad haha I prefer SotN over Order of ecclesia but I liked aria of sorrow more…. It’s still a masterpiece tho!
Funny, I expected to see Souls, not Mega Man, and I was thinking "Why even mention Mega Man?". But I guess for your generation Souls WAS Mega Man, so why bother mentioning Souls, right? My suggestion is to check out Shin Megami Tensai, they are all really good, but 3 (Nocturn) in particular is an absolute fucking gem. Haven't played the newer two, and I heard they aren't as good, but Nocturn is a high water mark for story telling and world building. To this day, I have still not played anything with as much depth and content. 100 hours for 100% playthrough, and only 20 of it is going to be grinding.
Hollow knight. That's truly the dark souls of Metroidvanias. Best metroidvania ever, fight me. Also, check out Metal Gear Acid 2 on the PSP. Super fun card system.
Love your conversational tone and passion dude, none of that BS social media salesman spiel. Subbed!
Thank you so much! I love talking about video games haha, glad to have you on the channel :)

I just spent 160 bucks on a black label SOTN. Nes games are brutal but that's why they're fun.
