Polanski clearly has been an influence on RH. Theres a couple of scenes in 'Archangel' that are lifted directly out of 'Frantic'. Also the main plot of 'Pompeii' is very similar to 'Chinatown'. Maybe RH writes his novels with a future Polanski film adaptation in mind
