- Robert Harris discusses his latest book, Act of Oblivion with the Master Roger Mosey.
Described by the Guardian as “rich and riotous” and as “a fine novel about a divided nation” the story weaves between Restoration-era London and the wilds of pre-revolutionary New England as it follows the manhunt for two of the men who signed Charles I’s death warrant - Colonel Edward Whalley, a cousin and childhood friend of Cromwell, and his son-in-law, another regicide, Colonel Will Goffe.
Just finished this book tonight. First time I've read one of Robert Harris' books. I really hope this is made into a tv drama series. It would be absolutely fantastic.
His first two books are excellent. I'm on chapter 12 of this one and so far, it's great.
Just read this book; it was brilliant.
Mr. Harris is my kind of man who seems to really work properly in getting to the truth lessons that need to be learned and used everyday.
I heard about Robert Harris this morning (6-21-2023) on the radio via Hugh Hewitt on his Salem News Channel Network Conservative talk show. His books should be read...I plan to get a few, especially since I love good historic facts and the good life lessons we all need to survive correctly with.
Good interview.
Thanks for sharing. I love Robert's work. Act of Oblivion is waiting for me on my shelf. Can't wait to start!
Much enjoyed the discussion - thank you.

Why am I watching this?
Whalley should be pronounced wall-ee or war-lee like the town Whalley in Lancashire although some do pronounce it wally for some reason.
