Valuable life lessons delivered through the medium of model railways, nice. Glad to hear Percy is keeping his paw in the stunt business, needs to get himself in the next Bond film 👍
Does doesn’t it, I’m gonna have to get some more done now, it did feel like a bit of an eye test whilst doing it as they’re a bit crackers small to fit in the holes lol Ps it’s been weeks now since you’ve sent me any sale items, you’ll lose your status as my number one sales advisor at this rate 🤣🤣🤣
My Mrs always says ‘he sounds well happy’when I watch your videos.I always enjoy watching your films and layout. That’s the trouble with model railways we always want more than we can have, unless you are Pete Waterman or Rod Stewart 😂
I need to thank Big Fella for the overhead view, and I also need to know where you get all that wonderful invisible sand. My friend was one of the divers for the US on Wide World of Sports that competed against the Mexicans in Acapulco, and he was the only US diver to go in headfirst. Great video, Jersey Bill (P.S. Love the layout)
I had a friend who went loco down in Acapulco, because he stayed too long. True story.. well more of an acquaintance than a friend.. Big fella hasn’t showed up yet to the party he’s in for a real surprise! 👍👍👍
Had a busy day chopping firewood, Mrs has the dinner on and my favourite RUclips channel has uploaded a new video!!! If Carlsberg did Sundays, super smashing great!!!
@ Aye I was walking like I had a stick up my erse for a couple of days, throwing about an axe is not for the feint hearted. Only did a couple of cube however a pneumatic log splitter might well be on the cards sooner rather than later…
Absolutely love your layout, I could watch it and listen to you all day. The total honesty is very refreshing too. Looking forward to the new layout, no pressure.
Great footage Dave, really gives great views of your layout. I have a Dji mini and did try filming tgd layout but I wasn’t proficient at the time but should have another go. Thanks fir sharing this
You have a wonderful layout Dave. I can hardly wait until the next one. Lessons from this are to get your background stuff in first, inluding things like street lights. Ensure accessibility to ALL areas, i might have an 830mm reach but not when I am trying to ballast! Your wiring reminds me that I have loads of cars and a petrol station in one section where the lights just stopped working. Darned if I can get them working again. At my age grovelling under the baseboard is not funny or easy.
Aww thanks Mel, my wiring is comedy, it wasn’t bad until I added lighting and switches and to make it worse I had three different voltages of lighting so I’ve got extra wires on top! 100% on the backscenes and I’m not having switch panels I’m actually tempted to do manually operated rod points to make it more hands on plus will say me approximately one billion pounds in point motors 🤯
@@doubleodave Many years ago I bought some points from America which had built in motors. They are not realistic in terms of movement but they work first time every time. Sometimes we have to compromise on realism for cost and efficiency.
@@melkitson exactly 👌 those dcc concepts point motors I’ve got on the newer area are cool as they work on the iPad screen and they always work but…. I think I’d like to physically do some points myself now, it’s all a bit too computerised at times takes the fun away. 👍
I don't know.. Cliff diving!! whatever next, river dint seems deep enough.. who knew. Good Vid again dave.. I did notice that my reply comment of the last video seem to exit in nothingness. Utube being weird again. Any road. Even though the layout is compact, you did a damn fine job of it. As I have said before, If mine even comes close to it, I would be well chuffed. Its only when you start watching you realise we've missed the daft stuff.. Keep it up lad...
River wasn’t deep enough mate he’s dead! Health and safety round again! I did reply to your comment on the last video not sure if you sent anything after that but it didn’t come through. Glad it gets the Australian Andy Aproval or AAA for short 🤩
Dave,,, just a thought on new layout, if i remember it was only 2 full running tracks, current one is 4 and you have more space on new one,,,, if you drop to 2 you may regret that decision
But the two are gonna be big and there’s a big station and industrial play area that’s also gonna be fun, that can be used independently to the loops plus I might add a second level depending if I get real giddy in the future 😆 I’ll put an update on an upcoming video as I’ve changed it a little 👍
Crackin’ stuff Dave just wish I had your voice for vids rather than my mumbling ampshire voice 😂 anyways a bit of joy from you on this non sun weekend 👌😎☕️
It’s an iPhone 13 Pro that I use. It’s getting a bit old now, the Apple gods clearly make them age with time as it used to do 4k but now seems to struggle to render the videos so I stick to HD as that never fails. I keep pondering over an upgrade as the new ones are a good step up from this!
To be fair I’m planning on running both LJ1 & 2 still and just moving trains from one to the other - there’s no point me getting rid of LJ1 as the loft space is quite useless so fear not my friend 👍👍
I remember a couple of months back one of your regular viewers made a request to see 6 trains all running at the same time, in the same shot. I can't recall who it was but you should easily do it on your new layout, so it won't be anything special anymore. 8 trains running on your new layout, same time, same shot, would be something special. If I remember who that viewer was, I will let you know. 🎃🎃🎃
Did I not do 6 trains in the end? I get that sorted straight away! Also LJ1 has 4 running loops vs only planning 2 on LJ2 so not as easy as you might think 🙃
@ was that person you because my brain only remembers some stuff but forgets other stuff - Next video I’ll get maximum running but it might involve chaos can you handle it?
Another cracking bit of nonsense, Dave. The drone footage tour wasn't too bad either. You ought to pop into our local model shop and have a free planning and design clinic with Paul Lunn. It would certainly help you plan your new layout ...cheers James 🙂👍
@doubleodave WD Models in Chesterfield, he does them once a month there, we always prebook a slot for Dylan. The next one is the 16th, I don't know when the December one is yet 😁👍

It’s probably easier flying a pretend one than a real one although they pretty much fly themselves nowadays don’t they 🤭
