In this video, I work three sample heparin drip calculation problems (weight based, units/hr, units/kg/hr, etc.). Note: always follow your nursing school or health care facility's protocol, because some round differently, which can lead to slightly different answers.
To solve heparin drip calculation problems using dimensional analysis, you'll need to use the metric table.

    Hi.
I hope that you see this comment. I wanted you to know that you contributed substantially to me not only successfully completing nursing school, but also passing my boards On Wednesday.
There were so many times that I was completely lost and your videos gave me the understanding I needed. I've referred to you as my best friend the last year because the support and assistance your videos have given me seem like that of a which would come from a friend. I've suggested your videos to countless individuals and I'll continue to do so as long as you keep making them.
You've inspired me greatly! Thank you for all that you do.
    Love,
    Ayeshah H. RN

You are AWESOME!!!! I am really struggling in dosages and we are down to the wire and this video just gave me life!! The dimensional analysis that you did makes things so simple. Its fool proof in setting up the problem because in order to get what you need, you have to set the problem up so that specific things cancel out. I couldn’t have done this without you!! Thank you so much!!!

Nursing calculations are very hard. 😭 I need to get an A in this chapter about heparin. So I then there are finals.
I instead want to be an occupational therapist. It’s similar to nursing assistant because they do range of motions and similar like physical therapist. OT is so awesome.. a RN is more like a physician
