My guess is the amber lights were factory because mine had that yellow gunk on them too
The 88-94 models are a bit harder to get out
I Replaced both of mine and the lights still stay on do you think it could be an electrical issue
Ya that is going to be some sort of electrical, possibly even a ground issue. I'd trace the wires and make sure everything looks good if you've replaced the switches.
Hi do you have any idea what it can be if the dome light stays on even if I hit the dome light bottom to bypass the dome light they still stay on . And no I dont have it on with the dash dimmer switch I checked that so I removed the fuse for know
That's interesting. You might have to pop the switch panel out and do some wire chasing. It could be a number of things unfortunately. Luckily, the wiring on these trucks are very easy to follow.

You replaced the outside amber light but what about the inner light? Would it be the same bulb number or what ? I have a truck just like this
Yes I replaced the inner light as well. The reason I didn't on camera was to show the difference between the new and old bulb. And yes, they are the same size so you can just buy 4 ambers the same size and replace them all.
