I have PCOS and lately I have been considering doing Keto, but I also think it depends on your body type as well. Like while I have PCOS, my body type falls under mesomorph (which is better at breaking down complex carbs). I just think that depends on where you're getting your carb intake from and if you are living an active lifestyle that suits your body type and your needs.
I know how hard it is for a girl on PCOS/PCOD to lose weight or to go on a diet because we've anxiety disorder because of which we always crave junk food. So hats off to her for pulling this keto diet off! Respect! 💯

Dude you kind of need to educate yourself about keto. Also if you think the only reason people are fat is because they eat 'a lot' or 'eat junk'. Or have an unhealthy lifestyle, you need to get the facts checked. While most people out there lead a moderately unhealthy lifestyle, some of them are skinny and some of them are fat. Yes, you can't eliminate carbs on PCOS. I have PCOS and I was recommended a balanced diet including complex carbs and high fiber foods. If I completely give up carbs, I experience more fluctuations in my blood sugar.
Yeah you are right , But keto is a good option to loose good amount of fat in small time. After 3months of continuous keto body gets used to it and weightloss stops by itself thus telling our body that now switch to a balanced diet and maintain the Weight ☺️

I dropped my A1c from 11.6 to 5.1 and dropped 70 lbs. my blood tests are perfect, cholesterol is now perfect, my liver and kidney function is now perfect, my blood pressure is perfect. I have reversed type 2 diabetes by substantially increasing my insulin sensitivity since fat does not spike insulin levels like carbs and protein do.
Wow, I lost around 10kg in 3 months just by hitting the gym(really hard) for a hour for min 5 days a week, but at the same time I do all the epic college stuff like drinking and Bing eating. Ps: Small advice is don't switch to keto completely but try to reduce carbs intake and increase proteins.
Supashya Roy Chowdhury in my opinion for good and manageable weight loss you should try a "high carb and low fat". If you're looking to build muscle, you can use that diet but add protein and weight training.
I personally was 90 kgs and started keto for three months and I came down to 75 kgs . Keto really works it's tough as well. But you need that dedication to start keto .cauz hurdles will always be there like temptation cravings etc but we have to ignore Al of that and start working on ourself if we really need to loose weight .

I was 115 and now i am 100. It took 3 months to shed 15 kgs but it was quite easy. I cut out carbs out of my diet as much as i can, like 4 rotis a day and small bowl of rice is enough for me. But now question arises, what about cravings? How can you manage your starving? Its simple, drink milk/buttermilk and eat youghurt/paneer/meat/fish and dryfruits. Add more and more pulses and fruits like musk melons/papaya/apple/orange to your diet but make sure that u don't eat excess protein or else your uric acid level will rise and all your effort will go into vain. Brisk walk of minimum 1 hour is must..!! By this way, u can shed your weight without starving yourself and without troubling your bowel movements due to fibres in fruits and probiotics in dairy products.

I never had carb cravings on keto. If there is any craving then there is not enough fat in the diet. If there is a flu or digestive issues or irritability then there isn't enough leafy veggies in the diet. Simple. Great diet for the body and mind!
I have been doing keto for over an year now, and I feel really great. I used to weigh 114 kg, but after an year of strict diet, I am at 84 kg now. Losing 30 kg is a miracle in itself, and I will thank my family for their imense support. Having hight insulin resistance is really hard, and you lose very little weight in first 3 months. But by the end of 5 months, you lose 1 kg every week. I really believe that Sonia should have followed that diet after 1 month. Furthermore, I think she needed to incorporate a cheat meal after every 3 to 4 days, because insulin resistant bodies go in starvation mode very easily (your weight remains stuck, even after faithful diet followup). For some people, 1 month of keto is not enough.

15 months off weed, cigarettes and alcohol. Took up membership in the gym. Kept my diet the same but increased the quantity but just healthier (most of the time I eat at home- equally spaced intervals). Took up powerlifting style training. Lost 7 kgs, right during the lockdown. Just a couple more to fit in my weight class and go full HAM in competitions. I honestly think the key to losing weight is exercise. It's going to be hard to lose weight through diet whilst doing minimal exercise and still remain positive. Eat a bit less and more healthily and try fill more of your free time with exercise.
No point in putting yourself through such a restrictive and pressurising diet when all that you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit.... Calories deficit can be achieved by reducing the number of calories that you eat even incorporating the foods that you like to eat and yes working out will further help you achieve that deficit.... Hard diets like keto are not sustainable.. you might follow keto for some time and not for long.... It is better to eat what you can incorporate in your lifestyle
What causes you to gain weight is your hormones. If you eat a regular high carb diet and cut your calories, your body will greatly decrease your metabolism to compensate and you'll feel tired, lethargic and unmotivated to exercise. As long as your primary source of energy is carbs, calorie deficit will make you miserable, slow your metabolism and make you gain weight in the long run, since the insulin released from those carbs will prevent your body from using fat for energy. When your body is adapted to burn fat, your insulin levels will drop drastically and your body will utilise fat as a primary source of energy. Even if you eat a lot of calories in a high fat low carb diet, your body will be able to RAISE your metabolism as such and keep the weight off.
Hah, when I started keto, even i had a nightmare that I was eating huge cream buns. I literally woke up crying that day, because I thought I had broken my diet. Keto is really worth it though, I lost 24 KG's in about 5 months (130 to 106). People who are serious about losing weight have no better diet, give It a try and you'll see.

KETo diet is a way of life. Did it for 2 years, to fix a health problem (brain waves), and not only did it fix it, but I never took any medication for it. Also I always had so much energy. I used to be 94 kilos and 5'10 ~ pretty much obese. I started keto diet strictly. Slowly, I came down to eating one meal a day and then fasting for 2-3 days on a stretch. Right now, I'm 70 kilos and fitter than ever. Before, I couldn't even run 200m. A month ago, finished my 4th 10km marathon. It's less about keto and more about intermittent fasting or fasting in general. It is hard, but to get somewhere, you have to sacrifice something.
Beyond a point just jogging won't help.. Been there tried that.. Need something more.. Jogging helps but in keeping the existing weight from going up further given the sedentary lifestyle
When i did mastercleanse I ate nothing for 10 days , it helps you get your desired result fast ,but isn’t a permanent solution if you love big potions of food .and Keto so far been the 2nd easiest diet for me . Drink kombucha , 4 cups of green teas a day , do cardio 60 mins daily ,juice cleanses, take your vitamins properly,eat fresh organic produce and eat whatever you want in small portions .

I was 115 and now i am 100. It took 3 months to shed 15 kgs but it was quite easy.
I cut out carbs out of my diet as much as i can, like 4 rotis a day and small bowl of rice is enough for me.
But now question arises, what about cravings? How can you manage your starving?
Its simple, drink milk/buttermilk and eat youghurt/paneer/meat/fish and dryfruits.
Add more and more pulses and fruits like musk melons/papaya/apple/orange to your diet but make sure that u don't eat excess protein or else your uric acid level will rise and all your effort will go into vain.

I never had carb cravings on keto. If there is any craving then there is not enough fat in the diet. If there is a flu or digestive issues or irritability then there isn't enough leafy veggies in the diet. Simple. Great diet for the body and mind!

I have been doing keto for over an year now, and I feel really great. I used to weigh 114 kg, but after an year of strict diet, I am at 84 kg now. Losing 30 kg is a miracle in itself, and I will thank my family for their imense support.
Having hight insulin resistance is really hard, and you lose very little weight in first 3 months. But by the end of 5 months, you lose 1 kg every week.
I really believe that Sonia should have followed that diet after 1 month. Furthermore, I think she needed to incorporate a cheat meal after every 3 to 4 days, because insulin resistant bodies go in starvation mode very easily (your weight remains stuck, even after faithful diet followup). For some people, 1 month of keto is not enough.

I follow intermitant fasting, which means I only drink liquids in morning and afternoon, and eat properly at dinner.
In mornings, I drink/eat 2 tablespoons of chea seeds in a bowl of water, two tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, green tea, normal tea and one big glass of water.
I skip lunch completely.
In dinner, I eat 3 pieces of fruit (non sweet fruits like 1 peach, 1 green apple and 1 plate of water melon), 3 chicken legs (boiled and masala only, no oil) and two fish kababs (pure fish, no daal added, no oil, just boiled).
If you feel hungry at any time, just eat a big bowl of cucumber, lettuce and onion sprinkled with lemon juice. No tomatoes please.
Throughout the day, I drink 10 to 12 litres of water, including 1 litre of unsweetened lemonade.
Avoid dairy items, carbs, and sweet things like a plague.
This diet makes total calories of around 500 calories per day. To lose weight, calorie deficit eating is important. Sleeping 8 hrs a day is also crucial.
For a cheat day, I just eat whatever is cooked for rest of the family (daal chawal, roti, salan).
I know that my diet is very tough, but I have followed it for almost a year now, and I am used to it.

15 months off weed, cigarettes and alcohol. Took up membership in the gym. Kept my diet the same but increased the quantity but just healthier (most of the time I eat at home- equally spaced intervals). Took up powerlifting style training. Lost 7 kgs, right during the lockdown. Just a couple more to fit in my weight class and go full HAM in competitions.
As long as diet plans an important role, your sleep cycles and your lifestyle too plays an important part.

I honestly think the key to losing weight is exercise. It's going to be hard to lose weight through diet whilst doing minimal exercise and still remain positive. Eat a bit less and more healthily and try fill more of your free time with exercise.
No point in putting yourself through such a restrictive and pressurising diet when all that you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit.... Calories deficit can be achieved by reducing the number of calories that you eat even incorporating the foods that you like to eat and yes working out will further help you achieve that deficit.... Hard diets like keto are not sustainable.. you might follow keto for some time and not for long.... It is better to eat what you can incorporate in your lifestyle
What causes you to gain weight is your hormones. If you eat a regular high carb diet and cut your calories, your body will greatly decrease your metabolism to compensate and you'll feel tired, lethargic and unmotivated to exercise. As long as your primary source of energy is carbs, calorie deficit will make you miserable, slow your metabolism and make you gain weight in the long run, since the insulin released from those carbs will prevent your body from using fat for energy.
When your body is adapted to burn fat, your insulin levels will drop drastically and your body will utilise fat as a primary source of energy. Even if you eat a lot of calories in a high fat low carb diet, your body will be able to RAISE your metabolism as such and keep the weight off.

Hah, when I started keto, even i had a nightmare that I was eating huge cream buns. I literally woke up crying that day, because I thought I had broken my diet. Keto is really worth it though, I lost 24 KG's in about 5 months (130 to 106). People who are serious about losing weight have no better diet, give It a try and you'll see.
As person who eats Keto I am confused at the limited food portions. You are supposed to eat until satisfied on Keto (the longer you are on the diet - the less hungry you become naturally). Maybe they wanted the most dramatic results in the quickest time possible? Odd.

This isn't a high protein diet, its moderate protein according to your body weight and height, just the healthy fat are more. I have been doing it for 4 plus months with hypothyroidism and alotta stress in my life and this way of eating fixed everything. And the starchy carbs are replaced by a big salad you get enough micro nutrients, you eat healthy fats. I lost 22 kgs no effort quite easy, just need to do proper research on it Dr. Eric Bergg is a channel on you tube you can see his guidelines. The best thing about it you get mental clarity and its anti-inflammation. I get my blood work done every 2 months and everything is getting better.

I was feeling weak after 1weak of keto when I was doing this diet I don't want to talk to anyone I just lie on my bed I'm a college going student my brain was not working when I study I cannot memorize my lessons I was feeling very weak and low.

KETo diet is a way of life. Did it for 2 years, to fix a health problem (brain waves), and not only did it fix it, but I never took any medication for it. Also I always had so much energy. I even woke up everyday without an alarm clock. Not the easiest diet, since everyone tries for some reason to tempt you to break, but the results are phenomenal. It just shows that YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!!!!

I used to be 94 kilos and 5'10 ~ pretty much obese. I started keto diet strictly. Slowly, I came down to eating one meal a day and then fasting for 2-3 days on a stretch. Right now, I'm 70 kilos and fitter than ever. Before, I couldn't even run 200m. A month ago, finished my 4th 10km marathon. It's less about keto and more about intermittent fasting or fasting in general. It is hard, but to get somewhere, you have to sacrifice something.

Beyond a point just jogging won't help.. Been there tried that.. Need something more.. Jogging helps but in keeping the existing weight from going up further given the sedentary lifestyle

When i did mastercleanse I ate nothing for 10 days , it helps you get your desired result fast ,but isn’t a permanent solution if you love big potions of food .and Keto so far been the 2nd easiest diet for me . Most people put on weight due to lack of gut bacteria and exercise and of course sweet and fatty food .but people with high metabolism and good digestion could also be super slim while eating lot of unhealthy food and without exercises . Drink kombucha , 4 cups of green teas a day , do cardio 60 mins daily ,juice cleanses, take your vitamins properly,eat fresh organic produce and eat whatever you want in small portions .
