Paracord get back whip- motorcycle tack

- In this video I demonstrate how to make a get back whip out of paracord. The result is a nice looking get whip that you can use for showing off your club colors. The whip is also used to teach car drivers respect and for self defense, but do check your local laws about these!

Great instructional video. Very helpful. I did not use a pool ball, instead I used a 1" round lead ball, so I started my whip using a video from Eric Fierst , but I used your video for the attachment of the snap and the decorative knot. Thank you for the time you put into this video.

You make it so simple to follow along. I used a Harley Davidson Skully eight ball and a Harley Davidson Eagle Q ball and paracord to match my bike colors. one hangs from each handlebar. I like them way better than the old leather tassles that used to whip my forearms at highway speed. I even have people wanting to know where i bought them lol.

Awesome video, I used a turk’s head knot as a handle. Here’s a few tips: buy a good quality panic snap, and not one with a swivel, the crown knots take a long time, especially if you make a longer one than the video shows. Use a pool ball that matches the color scheme of the get back whip. Thanks again for the great video!

I love this! Making my second one. Both so far have the ball but off centre and I can’t centre it. I’ve used a 57mm ball. Perhaps they are too big? Bigger pineapple knot? Perhaps

As a motorcyclist I can tell you from experience if a cop see's it you'll get it confiscated or worse he'll arrest you. They are considered a deadly weapon. I even got a visit by a cop because someone told them where he got it. I say make this at your own risk.

Guess I found my latest hobby. Hopefully this is less expensive than flying, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, camping, guitar, piano, knife collecting, gun collecting, technology, HAM Radio, and everything else that has ensured I stay broke!

Honestly the hobby is affordable. Not many tools are needed, most you can make yourself.

And if all else fails, you can use the cordage making double-twist method to make "ghetto paracord" out of old plastic shopping bags. Sometimes the material is surprisingly resilient, despite for getting it practically free.
