Your dedication to the craft is amazing. As i see the paints pile up, I think how overwhelmed I would be. It takes a special kinda crazy to be trying all them out, and document it. The community thanks you for your contribution, not only for the paints but in all your usefully content.
This thing looks like quite the hassle.. definitely one i would consider a luxury product. I do appreciate the safety measures that comes with it though
I would highly agree. I don't think anyone goes into so much detail and through so much testing as him. I felt more comfortable jumping into airbrushing thanks to his tips and tricks.
I'm glad I found your channel. I am re-starting to build models and dioramas. It's been over 30 years...Your channel is VERY helpful in choosing what I might need to start again. Thanks and keep up the greaty work!
This booth is perfect for a small room without windows. I definitely can see its uses. Thank you for the nice demo. Was thinking about this kind of booth for some time already.
Love the setup, I'm jealous of how much space you have. Spray booth seems to have potential, it looks like the water droplets above it might be contributing to the break in sheeting. I'd probably have to pee constantly using something like that though or fall asleep from the tranquil waterfall and wake up covered in paint.
Seems like a pretty complicated answer to the eternal question of how to minimize fumes and smell. Would be interested in seeing how practical this is over the longer term. Thanks for the look.
I usually paint miniatures for wargaming but your scale modeling tips have helped a lot more than I thought they would. Thank you for all of your hard work. :)
Great video, always learn a lot. Lost a bunch of my stuff in a fire about a year ago and have been slowly trying to build my modeling workshop stuff up slowly so your videos help me see what's worth buying out there as I try to replace everything. keep up the good work
So stoked for when your lacquer paints and primers come out. My lady is similar to yours and is a fan of IBO. Thanks for the demo of the product and others that you do.
I've learned more from your channel about airbrushes and paint then any books or videos. Great presentations on tool testing too. It has taken my model building to a much higher level. Thank you so much!
I remember hearing about these waterfall spray booths a long time ago, but have never seen one in action until now. Thanks for the demo! I'll be looking forward to the upcoming paint test videos. And congrats on the ever-growing Mecha Empire lineup.
You can solve the problem with the waterfall by adding a surface tension breaker. Couple drops of Jet Dry, Glycerine, or some Liquid Dish Soap should do it. I had the same problem with one of those desk waterfalls. Another video suggested adding Rain-X to the glass. The sound would make me want to constantly go to the bathroom.
if you can have a something like a cat box container or plastic tub that you can put outside with some sand just dump it in there. the water will evaporate and the paint will dry making it safe to dispose of when it builds up a bit.
great vid! I have a simpler version of one of these and gave up on using the water after a week. the clean up and maintenance was not worth the effort to keep it clean and just used it as a regular spray booth
interesting to see a waterfall booth in a hobby size form factor. you could probably pour the water through like a coffee filter or something similar especially if using non water soluble paints to reuse water a few times before changing completely?
When I heard you would be doing a video on this spray booth I had to look it up since I've never heard of it. I would expect this would be a great option for those in less ventilated spaces. I found this design interesting as well. I'd love to hear how it is to maintain over a period of use. Thanks for always trying new things and showing us the result!
I have this spray booth. The water falls much better as use it. Mine did the same thing with the dry spots. But after a purple of time of using it now the water is a complete flat sheet. It’s a great booth. Money we’ll spent.
You got the dream set-up buddy. Thanks for showing all these new gadgets and paints. You're the only source I watch for reviews and think you do it great.
Your videos have been very helpful to me. I do Hotwheel restorations and your airbrush reviews and tutorials on making your own cleaner and thinners have saved me much money.
Once again, an awesome video! I've been thinking hard about buying that waterfall spray booth, but I believe that I'm going to wait a bit more. AND!!!! I've been waiting for you to drop some lacquer paints!! You have an awesome eye for some very nice colors! Can't wait to get them and add to my spoon collection!
Add couple of drops of dish soap to break surface tension of water. You will get a better full sheet of water coming downing and water won't wick around edge on start up. Soap also helps break down the paints
I just built my own spray booth out of display board panels and 3d printed exhaust. I think the paint wouldn't stick to the glass and you would get a better waterfall effect if it was ceramic coated.
That's a load of inventory... And here I am just wondering how I am gonna stash my 2 dozen mixed paints later. Thanks for testing out all this stuff and explaining it to us!
I started gunpla building about a year-and-a-half ago and love it!, but I've been hand painting everything i have done so far. This channels encouraging me to use my paints and to go out and buy a airbrush and possibly a booth don't know how much this boots cost but it is incredible!
New to painting minis/Warhammer/Gundam I have a learned a ton watching these videos Thank you for uploading these videos!! Anti-fog spray will likely help with the water on the glass. Instead of repelling the water it is attracted in an even flow, thus anti fog(droplets)
Interested to see how the new booth performs in the long run. Never really understood what was so great about the waterfalls but maybe you'll shed some light on it.
A few guys here have had one for months and they like it. They said to add dish soap or rapid dry dishwasher liquid to the water. Also to coat the back glass with RainX makes it all run perfectly
I really appreciate your reviews, as someone who’s just getting started with airbrushing, your videos really help in deciding what paints and equipment to buy.
I avidly watch your channel and love the education on airbrushing! I spent a long while learning about paints and mixing and recently sat down with a borrowed airbrush system and applying the concepts you taught! Thanks!
I am in the process of setting up my own painting bench and looking at what options are out there. The waterfall paint booth looks like it would be maintenance intensive, but will probably fit some people's needs better than the others. To each their own. I love your videos and have learned a lot about airbrushing and paint types. Thanks.

Try running distilled water and see if that flows better. It muddy be worth hitting the glass panel with some hydrophobic coatings for car windshields to get better flow
I’ve been considering getting back into scale modelling (used to do it as a child with my father). This channel has been a wonderful source of information for tips on tools and techniques!
I only found you about a week ago, but I love your enthusiasm. Also, the way you test/showcase colours is so clever and makes comparing colours really easy! I would love to see your follow-up video on Green World Stuff paints, especially their films and chameleon colours. Anyway, love your content and all the best wishes from Estonia!
Many viewers have written me and gave me a few tips. One is add dish soap or rapid dry dishwasher liquid to the water to help it flow evenly. And another tip was to coat the glass with RainX

Don’t use a razor blade to clean the glass. You can use lacquer thinner or IPA to clean the glass. The glass needs to stay smooth for the water curtain to work.

Rex, love your paint reviews and airbrush tutorials. I started using acetone as cleaner because of your video and it has been great. This waterfall spray booth review was exactly what I was looking for as well. Great to hear you got a pre-thinned lacquer line up coming as I just start using pre-thinned lacquers recently. Keep up the good work.

Genuinely excited every time I see a new vid from you, I've gotten a lot of confidence to start my own airbrushing journey from seeing how simple you make it all look, cheer rex
I don't know if I would be able to use it as a tool and not worry about it getting paint on the back. Also, if the bench it is on isn't perfectly level, I would imagine that would effect the "waterfall" as well, which like others have mentioned seems like a hassle. Thanks for the review though, probably the only time I would have know a product like this even existed. I like your idea of using those fans, they seem like an incredible piece of equipment.
Love these videos. Haven’t started customizing my kits yet, but I feel like I’ll be steps ahead when I start it from the stuff I’ve learned from you so far!
Super excited to hear about your line of lacquers coming up. lacquers are my favorite to use and at this point before I buy a new brand the first thing I do is see if you have a video up lol.
Love the content. Your consistent methods are to be applauded. you have helped my efforts airbrushing with the informative vids. I'm in awe of your collection of paints and kits as well.
Being kinda new to the hobby I would have to see a couple more comparisons with other spay boith before I decide. Thank you for your splendid review on this one.
Very cool. This looks like it would work better than regular booths where using them indoor without an exhaust hose to the outside is always rather iffy.
Great looking spray booth. I like the idea of only having to replace the water filter. Looking forward to your new paints coming out and thanks for the video.
Love the Barbatos. I remember when I was stationed in Korea and discovered the joy (and unending frustration) of Gundam models and it revitalized my old love of Gundam having grown up with Wing Gundam and Endless Waltz. Something about the more mechanical design of the Barbatos, like the waist hydraulics, really separates it from the standard Gundam silhouette. Also, your paint reviews have helped a ton, especially after moving back to America where I can't just walk to the Gundam base and pick out paint in person with samples and have to buy online based on inaccurate thumbnail representations. Might get a waterfall fume extractor, but my little $100 Amazon extractor has been working just fine for me
Your videos have been a tremendous help in making me a lot more comfortable with the vast amounts of paints and the tools that come with. You're the best person if I want something simply broken down or a demonstration. The Barbatos looks incredible as well! The spraybooth is very odd but I wouldn't be completely against using it
I would think you could only use acrylics because they are water based. I have seen someone use enamels and lacquers in a bucket of water. They just skim the paint off the water with a paper towel. I would not recommend disposing it in the sewer system. You do alot of testing of just about everything. Excellent work.
That is an interesting idea for a spray booth but I think I prefer the standard style with a filter at the back, I don't have a work space I could leave it set up in and I'd worry about the water in it leaking or spilling I guess.
I am so glad to have found your channel. As a beginner I often feel intimidated by all of the options, but you are so thorough that I’m usually left more confident. That new booth is awesome!
Just found the channel because of the paintbooth. Watched Iron blood orphans and my wife and young son loved the series. Have been going back to the originals we watched as kids, and he is enjoying them so far.
I like the idea of a waterfall booth but I'm limited on space so just have the folding/portable one you can grab off Amazon for £85. Does what I need for now until I can free up more room in the future!
Can't wait to see the new paints. Could you do a video on priming and painting ABS parts? ABS is notorious for being sensitive to thinners and easy to scratch the paint off of. Specially on old RG inner frame parts where moving parts can damage the paint.
Interesting product. I don’t know if I would buy one right now. I’ll go with a regular spray booth for now. However, I can see myself eventually getting one of those. I’m looking forward to seeing a future report on this spray booth. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting type of spray booth. Nice find. Seems that you were lucky to get one... both sites, that you suggested, has it sold out. As far as the paint sticking to the glass, maybe you can use a glass cleaner to help break the bond on the glass to allow the water to flow over it.
Thank you for all the testing you do. I enjoyed all your video. That booth is a beauty but a bit pricy. But certainly something to keep in mind. Thank you.
Your dedication to the craft is amazing. As i see the paints pile up, I think how overwhelmed I would be. It takes a special kinda crazy to be trying all them out, and document it. The community thanks you for your contribution, not only for the paints but in all your usefully content.

A premium product no doubt.

Interesting type of spray booth. Nice find. Seems that you were lucky to get one... both sites, that you suggested, has it sold out. As far as the paint sticking to the glass, maybe you can use a glass cleaner to help break the bond on the glass to allow the water to flow over it.
Your video are all very helpful... Thank you... Always my go to channel when im stuck with airbrushing..
Nice review and tour, thanks. Booth is nice but too pricey for.My budget.

Your channel is my favorite! It got me to start plastic model building again! Very informative! and motivating!
Thank you for all the testing you do. I enjoyed all your video. That booth is a beauty but a bit pricy. But certainly something to keep in mind. Thank you.
