Yay, I finally caught a fish off the rocks here today, golden snapper! Probably just legal, but released and I'll be back to find it's parents :). Thanks so much for these videos, have helped heaps!
@@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing we were using chicken for a while with small to medium bites every cast, then switched to mullet gut and got HUGE bites, unfortunately couldn't land any. Started on soft plastic blood worm with scent and got nothing. They do love that stinky mullet gut here!
Hey Leanne, met some guys using thin strips of fillet steak just south of here once and they were catching giant grunter brim as long as my forearm. See you on the rocks some time.
Awesome video Land And Bay Fishing !! Hey Land And Bay Fishing when you are Fishing off the Beach for Summer Whiting do you use a small 0 to number 1 or number 2 Sinker and a small bead and long red tube and 6 lb line and a small hook for Whiting Fishing off the Beach Land And Bay Fishing ? Would 6 lb mono line be good for Whiting and would you still get Whiting on 12 lb mono line ? What Baits are the Best for Whiting I heard that Bloodworms are the Best for Whiting ? And also Land And Bay Fishing How do you catch Bloodworms ? Thanks for the videos Land And Bay Fishing !! Cheers William !!
William Atta there are plenty of questions in your comment. My standard whiting rig is a 1.2 meter trace, 4 ball sinker above the swivel, red plastic and a number 4 long shank. Prefer yabbies and Wrigglers for bait.
Awesome video Wayne, love the drone footage. I really enjoy the great advice. have you been chasing any tiger squid this year. keep up the good work, its much appreciated.
I grew up in Namibia, Southern Africa where the fishing is excellent. We are camping at Scarborough from the 1 st Feb 2021 and these video's a great. I'm hoping for a feed or 2 of fresh fish. I don't have a boat and am still practicing with my yak so beach fishing it is. Love beach fishing.
It has been a long time between videos. But when you deliver you really deliver, Any fishing people in your area will flock to this area. I am in NSW & the beach & rock, weed areas you identify are readily available near where I live. I need to investigate access at high tides (don't mind getting my feets wet) & will test the waters. Thanks for sharing. Your drone? Good photography.
I explored that coast with a camera a few years back. Yes, we are very lucky to have the coast that we have this side of Cabbage Tree Creek North. The South has some beautiful spots too, but not the variety in so many easily accessible places.
@@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing I look forward to it. That drone footage is brilliant. Good investment, mate. It really shows the structure well. I'd venture to suggest you'd see schooling baitfish and larger fish as well as you explore with the drone. The view of the Scotts Point rocks was a real eye-opener.

Went for a walk a few days ago and noticed a few ink patches about. I like the beach just north of Scott’s point rocks. Nights are always a bit better than days.
Is it just me or has the cliff at Scott's Point retreated dramatically in the last 20 years? I remember fishing there as a kid in the 80's and I'm positive the point of the cliff came out at least another 20 metres or so.
Hi Wayne, the maps that you use in your fishing spots on the videos where are they from , seems hard to find a good map of the WOODY POINT TO SCARBROUGH. Cheers mate
Great video Wayne! Quick one...I have been fishing with soft plastics and hard lures from the rocks there but no luck so far. Of course, I understand there are exceptions but would you say that Scotts Point (from the rocks) is a spot for bait fishing only?
Took the young fella here for a fish yesterday Wayne. Fished the rocks and then the beach for about 3 hours from 8-11am and unfortunately not one fish! The tide was incoming to a high at 11.24am. Used pillies, prawns and squid. Anything I’m missing to better our chances? Cheers mate love the channel.
Hey mate!! Cheers for the video great info. I'm moving up next month with the family and was wondering if you could recommend any spots to try pumping for nippers or blood worms. Thanks in advance for your reply.

What time of the tide can you fish off them rocks is the rocks still accessible on high tide? And is low tide still good fishing?
Bottom half of the tide works well

There is a small one at the southern end of Margate Beach

No. Not at all. Suggest you try 2.5’ grubz or Slim Swims lightly weighted for bream.
Awesome vid mate looking at taking the yak up on Thursday morning it will be night tide what baits are working well for snapper at the moment
From Scarborough to Woody Point, squid and winter whiting are dominant. Match the hatch.

If you are referring to the ones just north of Scott’s pt. They mark a very shallow reef. Check it at low tide. It’s exposed

It’s very popular at low tide. Like anywhere it’s hot and cold. Better in a 12 knot SE close to a full moon or no moon.
