  • Fought 25 mins for one fish!
First time fishing in the middle fishing platform on the Hornibrook Bridge at Redcliffee. It's a good 3km return walk from the carpark but it was worth it. If you plan to go, make sure you are prepared as there are no toilets on there. Fish caught includes bream, cod, stingray, cat fish and bat fish.

You are making every fish look like it’s big with low drag

Nice video mate, the long walk out there has always put me off that spot but it looks fun. Will have to give it a go sometime.

I went back a couple of times and wasn't as successful. The current was really strong except the 1 hour before and after the tide change. So to maximise optimal fishing time, i would definitely go a few hours before and after the tide change. Good luck.

Fished there a couple of times. That walk back to the car park is a killer after a days fishing, not to mention if you need a toilet break lol

TimWanderer my mate and I used to take scooters and just carry everything in our backpacks. 2 rods each max. It’s amazing how resourceful you can be when you have to.

I'm guessing it doesn't get any where near as busy as the main platform near the car park, am I right? What's the best tide to fish it? I just bought one of those carts for the walk.🤣

Definitely fewer people at the mid bridge platform, especially during winter I reckon. As for fishing time, I always try to fish 2 hours before and after the tide change. Good luck.

Can't fish from the bridge itself, but the fishing platform in mid bridge is ok. There is even a fish cleaning table there.
