I loved this interview. Thank you Trevor for actually asking her real questions and having an intelligent conversation with her. Some of the previous interviews I’ve seen with her the interviewers were slightly condescending. But you showed her the respect she is due. I can’t wait to see what she does next!🤗
As a 29 year old female, I am 99% sure that I dont want to have kids. This young lady is challenging my beliefs. She is so inspiring, her parents must be so proud!
If you can nurture yourself, inspire yourself and loved ones and have respect and understanding for growing individuals, being flexible but strong, listening and learning from those around you while staying true to you... you might be a good parent.
Adore her, and very thankful to Trevor for conducting this interview in a manner that matched her intellect, not the perception of “what someone her age should be addressed like.”
I love her just the way she is right now. She's beautiful, so bright, optimistic and free. I hope she never changes or let the world's negatives deter and distract her from her goals.
@andrew miller Humm? I am guessing you are young? Born in the 90's maybe? The saying "came out old" means, at an early age, you were doing things people older would be doing. For example, reading at 2, very articulate, able to give directions at 4, knowing how to walk early, able to baby sit or stay alone at an early age. The reason I know because they said it about me and my son was the same way. It is in no way an insult it's a complement of there maturity. She is not the typical teen. She is an example to the more mature teens who feel out of place. Don't fight everything.
M Im if you pay close attn, jimmy kimmel & Fallon both interview black ppl and white ppl in a VERY different way. It’s like they’re always so uncomfortable w/ black quests, so they become “jokey jokey” but on the contrary with white guest... serious and mildly deep questions are posed😩
Parents are the key. Many parents oppress the greatness of their kids while they're this age out of fear. It's really awesome to see her here doing all of this and shining. I love this girl 💛
I saw Little over the weekend. It was so good. It feels like Marsai was able to say what most children would like to tell adults, but they cannot because of age and the disrespect factor. Excellent movie and I highly recommend it. 👍👍
The shout out to her parents was so loving. Marsai defines opportunity having met preparation. Her parents prepared her well by grounding her in humility, gratitude & love . Being gifted & talented doesn't hurt either😉.
I just love her! Her work ethic, how grounded she is, her confidence, her creativity. I cannot wait to see what else she has in store. There are child stars a d then there are child legends, this is a legend in the making
She was my favourite in Blackish. The smallest daughter that pissed everyone off, never compromised with anybody especially when the siblings were trying to form a band and she turned out to be the best singer! She still got away with every mischief. She was the perfect daughter I always wanted! I wondered why Zoe but not this cutie pie was Dre's favourite!
trevor brings up a great point towards the end about how more young people are able to create and share their work in a way they’ve never been able to before. i’m so excited to see what else marsai has in store :)
I took my Grandsons to see this movie today and they loved it. They wanted to see Us, but this movie related to them and we left the theatre feeling good, and that's what the young people need,,, to feel good❤

"you're in a position where you can create the world that you want to see. Whereas, when many generations were younger, they were like, that's just the world." Wow, Trevor Noah speaking the truth. Never thought of things that way
I hesitated to hit this play button for hours,I feel so bad for my self at over that age and yet all I do is wake up every morning and off to class , attending lectures with no clue whether I will graduate and damn she is already a boss and I am so damn jealous and damn proud of her being a boss at her age, will definitely strive for this college thing . . that ' s it ! Who wants to play a movie I will be the director !
One thing I love about her “she dresses like a young lady!” Like she isn’t overly sexualized or anything, she dresses in a way many would agree as appropriate but at the same time is still youthful. Even seeing her on the other show appearances: her clothes aren’t skimpy or tight, her makeup isn’t heavy, she isn’t dresses as a woman in her 20s or 30s - she’s dressed as a lovely, stylish young lady in her mid teens.
She seems well grounded. She’s definitely well-spoken and doing well, career-wise. 14 has sounded young to me since I was 20, but, now that I’m 43 and seeing where this person is in life so far at age 14.... holy hell I feel like I’m at the end of my life.
This young lady is such an inspiration at the very young age of 14. She and her parents should conduct a seminar on a blueprint of a child mogul. She’s so talented, I love watching , Little’s movie trailers!
Praise GOD for Marsai Martin! 🙌 🙏 🙌🙏 Also thank you Trevor for having a very enriching and intelligent conversation with her, rather than being condescending.
She is so Way advanced of years on this earth. she is so Mature for her age and the way she carry her self and how she speak. i could only imagine how she would be at 20 - 30 .
Love her sophisticated style. Hope it transcends over to these teenagers too focus is on showing their behind especially to attract some boy. Classy Sophisication and Genuine. Proud of you Marsai, your plot of Little said a lot to us all on many levels.
There is a difference between the way Jimmy Fallon interviewed her and the way trevor did. Big difference. One talked to her as if they were talking to a child and the other one talked to her in a respectful manner. There was no belittling in this conversation. It's him taking her achievement and opinion seriously.
I am so glad her PARENTS were able to control her education! Many advanced children get lost in the school system and all their creativity and genius gets programmed out of them!!! I am so glad her Parents took her education into their own hands! I love Home Schooling! Marsai is Amazing and Beautiful
Her parents did a great job with her. It is hard to believe she is only 14, she seem more mature than a lot of 25 year olds. I love her hair, she was amazing in little. I cannot believe she executive produce "Little". I love every minute of that movie. oI am excited to see what she stars in next.
