Think he misspelled. Among the 'Coolest' cars. Trying to decide with my son if a JDM project would be right for our next one. I'm not getting any younger.
Hey everyone, thanks for watching the Supra episode! It was a ton of fun detailing this legend and bringing the paint back to life. Which JDM car would you like to see next on the channel? FYI: The stock wheels got new tires, lugs, and an alignment after filming. Brake kit coming next!
I usually never leave a comment but I couldn't resist but saying how great your editing is. Absolutely loved it and the tunes sounded better then any other vids. Really worked for me. Second great job on the detailing. I do many projects like you do and have learned a few bits here and there from your tutorials. Many thanks and well done.
The before and after shots are proof that the Supra detailing job is top-notch. The filming quality only adds to the impressive transformation. Great work!
I use a Dremel when working right up against the edges on the engine type polishing... all comes down to time/money/etc. Great work, Larry!! Thanks for bringing us.
I had a 1994 Supra turbo (six speed). Bought it new in 1994. Drove it across the country a couple times. It was an amazing car….and an unbelievable tuner. For a couple grand i was able to squeeze another 100hp from it. Loved my Supra. Ended up selling it in 1999 for, at the time, a brand new BMW 328i. Looking back, it was one of the bigger mistakes i made in my life. Great job turning this old beauty into a show car!
Hey Larry just to let you know, the factory wheels require a flush seat lug nut instead of the conical ended ones you installed, it should probably be fine but just to be safe I’d recommend a flat seated lug nut!
Noticed this too... I would take those off as soon as possible and get the flush set lug nuts. The acorns will mushroom the edge of the hole in the wheel and it's definitely not safe.
those lugs looked off in the center of the holes actually, not sure why. Was his soon 100% sure these were original supra wheels? They look like the original I just think the centering was kinda off.
Conical lugs only for aftermarket wheels. All Toyota/Lexus of this era and today, use a flat style with an integral washer. Those dummies at NAPA should have got you the right ones.
This was a fantastic trip down memory lane! I'm UK based but 16+ years ago I had a 6-spd manual twin turbo Supra in the same colour. I remember going to view the car (knowing the spec & details, but not the specific colour - this was before every car was advertised on the web, so I was just told over the phone it was "grey") and when I got there it was a real surprise to find out it was actually the quite rare Anthracite paint. Needless to say I jumped at the chance to get it and paid for it the same day. It remains one of the best cars I've ever owned and was always a pleasure to drive. Just for ref, according to production figures, there were only 174 Supras in Anthracite sold - as opposed to circa 6500 models in black/white/red/silver.
I disagree never been a fan of the supra's stock wheels and the ones he pulled off the car looked good. Besides the supra is a modding platform no one is looking at these cars for their stock look.
This takes me back to when I owned a 93, black non turbo one as my first car... I cut and polished the whole car by hand, got it as good as a machine job.... Amazing job with this one! Keep it up!
Constantly blown away by your transformations of these cars. Incredible knowledge that you are sharing with all of us and I for one really appreciate it!
@@AMMO-NYC I loaded up my Shopping cart with your products but because I’m in Canada shipping and duties are crazy! Do you have any distribution over here ? I really want to support your company, you’ve certainly earned it with all advice you’ve given us.
You know why the MK4 Supra is iconic? A Ferrari owner is hyped to have it. That tells everything you need to know. Beautiful example of car this was, absolutely flawless.
Your work is amazing. When the car first got into the garage, I thought that's a pretty good looking car already, but the difference is night and day! You make me want to go polish my car now!
One of my favorite videos! I especially love the burnout at the end! What a huge difference from the beginning with how dirty it was to the end where it was like new! Amazing work Larry! Keep up the good work!
Great videos as always, and kudos to whoever chose the background music! One of many reasons that I enjoy your videos so much is that the music can always suit the scene very well!
Hey so the son knows, Those wheels he bought are for SZ supras ( non turbo). Turbo supra wheels are the same 5 spokes but thicker. its hard to tell in some listing but they're available online.
I cannot WAIT to do this to my JDM 94 Supra 😍 I’m swapping in a big single turbo 2JZGTE VVTI with an upgraded manual transmission and repainting it Imperial Jade Mica.
as you said before, going from looking like unusable garbage to 80-90% cleanliness is easier than going from 90% to like 95%+. the paint was still in good condition before you even buffed it, the inside looked like it literally was driven for a week and then put into a time machine to today and you still did an amazing job with it.
Never understood why some detailers cost so much. Watching this it makes sense. When you get paid well, you can pay attention to all the details. I mean he even polished the emblem on the engine. That’s wild haha
this is the video, Larry you always do great work....but this the one that truly shows the change.... i love JMD cars and RHD ones, but this supra is amazing...

It was really cool to see you work on a Supra, it's definitely a car that means a lot to Toyota fans! Those stock wheels go for quite a lot nowadays. They stock lug nuts are actually a different kind that needs to be seated inside the holes like a lip to fill the gap. The acorn seating is meant for aftermarket wheels. I hope you guys can address this before a wheel stud snaps 😅

The flare on the pads are definitely a safety feature. Kevin Brown had pointed me in the direction of a flush fit for precise scalping a while back. Definitely worked well.
In the beginning I'd follow your vids because of the detailing but now its the picture you paint about that entire community around you that keeps me logged-in through the videos.

Tied with the Koenigsegg :)
His Porsche Taycan wasnt that dirty too, when he drove it to the studio

Hey Larry just to let you know, the factory wheels require a flush seat lug nut instead of the conical ended ones you installed, it should probably be fine but just to be safe I’d recommend a flat seated lug nut!
As long as torque is checked regularly they probably won't have a wheel fall off but those lug nuts are going to destroy the wheels with time.
Noticed this too... I would take those off as soon as possible and get the flush set lug nuts. The acorns will mushroom the edge of the hole in the wheel and it's definitely not safe.

It always amazes me that a car that isn't a disaster and looks ok can then be detailed to be drastically different.
yeah the paint normally has a long to give from that position because you catch it right before the clearcoat starts to lose any life.
