I know they don't enjoy doing it but I do enjoy hearing their frustration with fans at how they take things. They work so damn hard, they have every right to complain. It's comedy. Fantastic comedy at that.
I feel like they would vent more often (especially Rhett) but they probably don’t like doing it _because_ then they’ll just get even more defensive comments from people who feel personally attacked.
I think the people who are upset thinking that they arent really friends, are kids who dont understand sarcasm.

I’m allergic to mint and this episode is honestly really helpful 😄
By the way, I use Listerine’s Citrus mouthwash and Tom’s whitening fennel-flavored toothpaste. Toms doesn’t have fluoride so I have a prescription bubblegum flavored fluoride paste.
Charcoal is okay.

@@Agmolly I love Tom's toothpaste! I switched over to it a while back and It's to much better then Crest and Colgate. I found their minty toothpastes were way too intense for me to use, but I love Tom's Spearmint flavour!
OMGOODNESS I’m allergic to mint too!!! I’ve been stuck with the strawberry toothpaste (the one they tried in the video) for a while because I haven’t found any other non mint kinds. I feel like it’s not doing anything because it’s probably for toddlers. 😂 I’ll have to try the ones you suggested!!
I've never heard of a mint allergy before. Huh, they make allergies for everything these days.

Yes Rhett. I saw a commercial the other day that began with Samuel Jackson saying, " this is a commerical", and that was it. They put there product on the screen and captioned " NO BS". Love that. Although i cant really remember what the hell the commercial was for.

The Marvis jasmine mint toothpaste is my favorite. It’s like brushing your teeth with flowers. I’m personally really into floral scents and flavors so it’s perfect for me!

Chocolate is supposedly really good for the teeth.. it's supposed to be even better than than fluoride .. cacao powder without the sugar and stuff that is x)

Link that toothpaste was Colgate (I hope, if not I’m really old) and it was orange with “sparkles” and had an orange flavor, and it was the first toothpaste I thought of when I saw the title! I literally remember I was in preschool when it came out (abt 27 years ago!)

I used to call it spicy and/or hot because my dumb lil baby mouth couldn't tell the difference between the bite mint leaves and peppers leave, I just knew they both hurt.
Yeah, the intensity of mint can be off-putting for a kid. It's worth noting that they may not be commenting on a "heat-type" spiciness as well. Mint has a lot of characteristics of cooking spices, so by that definition of spice it is indeed spicy.
My cousin used to call sodas spicy because of the carbonation, just like Link's kids. I think it just comes down to an inexperienced palate like Mitchell suggested. As an adult I wouldn't think of minty flavors as anything but "cooling" but the intensity tricks a kid into thinking it's "hot."
Probably just because they don’t have the words yet to describe the sensation, but they know what spicy feels like and it’s close enough.
Children have about twice as many taste buds as adults. So anything that they taste is about 2x as intense as it is to you. That's also why it's so hard to get kids to eat so many things.

Xylitol is supposed to be good for dental health, apparently.
Well it does not make your teeth healthier but it does kill cavity-causing bacteria from your mouth. But there are laxative effect after too much consumption.
Xylitol also helps teeth for people with dry mouth issues, as saliva protects teeth, if you have dry mouth often it causes tooth decay. Xylitol causes excess saliva production.@@Znarffi

Most flavorings can exist in a glycerin, glycol, or alcohol base, or even a water base. No sugar would show up in the final product if it was even used in the extraction or synthesis of the flavor at all
