idk how you guys did to make all those medley transition so smooth, you guys are awesome! Another video without drumming, this time for a cold, get better soon! Still, Counter of "Current _______ of my basement": 2
The genuine pride and appreciation for the special experiences that Sum 41 provided you are palpable in these videos. FUCK YEAH. You’re a gem, my man. Keep these vids up. All smiles each week from this dude here in Ontario back home 🤘
Hey, Ajax! I love how Halford slowly stalks out behind the guys...and the 90s MTV audience loses their collective shit. At any rate, I love that you guys had so much success and so much fun. Well done!
Stevo, you have no idea how cool it is to hear these stories from behind the scenes! I remember downloading this as a teenager through lime-wire or DC++ in eastern europe around 2003, waiting for it to download for hours and then watching it religiously haha. I didn't even know who those 'old dudes' were until so much later! I really had no idea what those other songs were lol. Hearing the story behind these collabs genuinely brings so much joy to me. Quick question: did you do a larger production rehearsal on set on the day? Obv. the tech people had to coordinate with the performance, and also it looked like you had some choreographed moves with Rob. Super cool - and thanks so much for this fucking channel my dude!! Never change!
Thanks for watching! I am happy that by doing some of these collabs we introduced people to the music we liked. On the day there would have been a sound check where they maybe rehearsed wheeling tommy out, but I honestly don't remember! Whatever we did .. it worked!
I remember this performance/video.awesome covers and performances. Deryck's great and all but it's way better having you on Mic. Love the Beastie boys part. It's always awesome when Steve is singing like fat lip and pain for pleasure. This world definitely needs more pain for pleasure and Stevo32 rapping
I remember being 11 - Edmonton Alberta, Chuck Tour. - Watching your opening video playing basketball etc. BLEW MY MIND! SUM41 forever. (wanna collab? I'll send you a cover if you wanna do some drums or vocals! Just for the fun)
Love that experience of changing that one guy's mind in the audience. That is a truly great feeling, the tangible experience of "winning them over" in real time. Well earned too, you guys killed it! Awesome performance, thanks for sharing it with us!! 🤘
Man, I remember this from back then. Badass AF. I'm not even a fan of Judas Priest, but when Halford walks into that stage, I got goose bumps too, fuckin epic.
any one who would doubt the guys from sum41 (as said guy in front as stevo said) being able to respectfully cover/do a kick ass medley of songs from bands they love has "another thing comin"
23 years after and I still get goosebumps like it’s the 1st time watching this. Thank you guys for making this and introducing so much great music to a then 13 year old kid who just started playing music ❤
Sum 41 has always kept us on our toes and this is a fantastic example of that. Love the skater vibe outfits. I remember drawing “skater boys” as a teen and always put Sum 41 shirts on them hahaha I’ll have to try and find one someday 😅
I remember seeing this when it first aired it was awesome then and is still amazing see today... Also I know you won't be there but I am going to see Sum 41 on September 6th because my girlfriend is awesome it is my early B-Day suprise and I am so excited 2024 is such a rad year.
Another great video Steveo! 🤘 Would love to see more drum kit breakdowns for all the drum nerds out there! Like, what kits did you use on tour back in the day? I always liked the one from the 'Motivation' video
Can’t stand wehen drummers fucking their own songs . The part before the ending with the vocals still going is supposed to be played with one snare only per time. It lives from it
Dave Grohl said in a interview after Tayler hawkins death that he tried to get Stevo32 to replace tayler but steve32 must have changed his number, so dave went with his second choice.
I just want to say I really appreciate you still giving us a video even though you didn't feel well! I hope you are feeling better now. Just keep doing what you're doin, unless you need suggestions. Did you write any songs and if so do you have a favorite, that's a video I'd like to see!
One of my favorite things ever is when you changed the words on the sign at the campus invasion tour...had no idea you had a e ca hi shirt!! Haha I'm picking this up asap!!
I remember recording this performance and me and my dad watching it together over and over. Playing it super loud over the stereo connected to the tv. THANK YOU for help making this happen as it’s a memory I often replay over with my dad 🥹
You deserve till the last second you reached as drummer! This videos chatting over amazing videos like these that most of us have seen many times are great!

Yes!! 🤘 It was a genuine 'fuck yeah"!
Awesome video. Remember to play on your drum "Makes no difference".
One question, why you use "32" in your alias of Stevo32 ?
Do you have any stories of blink-182? I would love to hear about it
Sum 41 never disappoints and always delivers, MTV knew that even then! 👏
They were really supportive early on! Great times!
Wish there would be a remastered version of this performance !

Thanks for watching! Definitely a career highlight and it happened very early on!
I think I am in the majority that wish steveo will recreate his stories using action figures like in the hell song LOL
haha! careful what you wish for!
*Which one was better...the story OR Stevos Tee shirt??*
Yes.
My wife bought me that shirt! haha
Seen Motley Crue like 5 times. Once with Sum 41

We need to find “that guy”! Great performance.❤
Awesome story behind the performance 👏
i personally asked you about this when you were on tour with No Use and Authority Zero at the House of Blues in Orlando, i love this story
What’s your honest opinions on the new Frank Zummo. Not saying he’s better than you because you’re way better but what are your thoughts on him.
Is this where Tommy Lee got the idea for Motley Crue to record that horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible cover?
any particular reason why second chance for max headroom was named what it was? always wondered
Beyond nuts. Man this was beyond cool.
I love these stories so much!
