    It's not just usability thing, this is a completely different way that blender is handling the physics of light. You can see this more in metal materials.

    Awesome! Blender 4.0 will be huge. Tip for next video, try to disable the outline selected objects. :P Thanks for making these always.

    Yeah there's a reason I'm sticking with 3.5 series, resin materials no longer exist in this new version. No amount of toying with the bsdf subsurface as they have it outlined can achieve the right look

    Has anyone else had trouble with this Blender newest versions 4.0 beta and 4.1.0 - Alpha?. I can't get them to work at all; they keep closing unexpectedly whenever I open it.

    Genuinely hate this change, given it's seemingly impossible to lower the specular the same way that was possible in pre-4.0

    They ruined it by removing transmission roughness, now you straight up can't make transparent water or glass.

      yeah thats why 4.O...I think..
      new ground breaking stuff ....not always compatible to 3.6.4. anymore..
