Hi Everyone! Sorry to hear that some of you have trouble watching this video. Honestly I have no clue why as it’s the same setting as the other 4K videos. Pls let me know if you’re still having issues also try to turn the resolution down a bit and see if that fixes things. Thank you!!!!
I was having a lot of trouble earlier but it finally started working, thanks for addressing this. Btw now that I finally got to watch it, great video as always
Obviously the ingredients are what puts up the price. To be honest I would not eat Foie-Gras but it is very expensive. If they had used Truffle Oil instead of real Truffles the cost would be a lot less and they could have included cheaper but good tasting mushrooms. Things like Caviar as well (Fish Eggs that just taste of Salt? I prefer Cods Roe, As the Eggs get bigger they taste less of Salt). All things that idiots eat to show off how much money they have and not enough back bone to say that actually they do not like it.
I'm thinking $200 was probably a pretty decent price for that meal. You had the entire staff catering to you and the restaurant to yourself. The quality of the food was unparalleled. I mean, the food alone probably cost more than $100. Considering everything, they probably broke even. I would absolutely do it! I'm so happy to see you sharing the feast. You're awesome, Mike! And chef Peter deserves at least one Michelin star!
Thank you Mike, for giving Ben, Brenda & Jennifer some screen time. I have been wondering if they get to eat the yummy foods that you do. It's a relief to know that, yes, you do share. Nice!
In Vietnam, Pho only cost $1,5 ( expensive Pho in restaurant may cost $3). And banh mi cost $0,7 - $2 . That is so cheap, right? But it will thousands time tastier than others pho in others country. (Btw i feel sad when foreigners say Vietnamese's stuff is VERY cheap. 😞)
I’m so happy that people are starting to recognize the beauty of Vietnam my parents are from there and I love it there too most of my family is there and when I would go visit it would be the best time I ever had in my life hope u enjoyed my ethnicity!♥️
I'm gonna have to come back to watch the video cause it keeps on stalling but just have to leave a thumbs-up cause I know this video is going to be awesome!
That's when I stopped watching the video. Foie gras, caviar, and truffles with pho and a bahn mi, lol!!!!!! Put those with anything and I guess you can charge 100 bucks a pop. What an absolute joke.
xAssassin24 y Yeah I know that I watch his videos all the time. However I wasnt completely sure and didn't have the time yet to go back to his video because sleep was more important. When I rewatched Sonnys I was going to edit this comment. So you don't have to tell someone who is subscribed and watches Sonny. But its super important to get his channel out there so he gets more subscribers since he truly deserves it. His channel is unique and fun to watch. I do love watching Mike Chens stuff too though.
Honestly, I'm feeling so disappointed that nowadays expensive food items basically just means: caviar, truffle, gold or expensive luxury meat (foie gras). I feel like the only worth eating expensive food is like something that has so much labour put into it rather than just an expensive ingredient that will make it taste good.
Well, those ingredients are expensive for a reason... Like, Truffles don't grow like regular mushrooms. It's in low quantities because it is very difficult to grow and harvest. Same with cavier, a fish can only make so many eggs and the person selling the cavier needs to grow, fertilize and butcher the fish. Might be "simple" ingredients but there's plenty of labour to harvesting them too. Just saying.
Chaww iiee this ^ !! We shouldn’t ignore the labor invested in the production chain just because they didn’t directly prepare the dish :’) high quality ingredients are also reflected in the price. The only thing I have a problem with is seeing people try a dish that’s only $1000 because it’s literally covered in gold or something because it does nothing for the dish flavor wise and the presentation isn’t worth it imo
Vy Liao That's a diffirent arguement too, people that spend $1000 on a single meal normally is just for entertainment purposes. I don't know about you, but I'm literary just watching Mike because I will never spend that much money on a meal, but I'm curious if it's actually tasty. Lol.
If you watch Sonny's "Best Ever Food Review Show" you will see Chef Peter explain that there is more that goes into making that broth and banh mi (two separate videos). ruclips.net/video/ftsQYS1fkOs/видео.html
Not sure if Chef Peter came up with the idea himself or he did it at Sonny's request for "Best Ever Food Review Show" because both the banh mi and pho were featured on his channel. When the lobster spring roll is done, you should go back to Vietnam and collab with Sonny on it. It'd be epic!!
