We use banana leaves in the Philippines too,it's best for fish. We also have our kind of sambal that is called "uyap" or "bagoong" which is a shrimp paste too

Whenever she needs banana leaves or curry leaves or whatever, she goes across the street. Of course, she has a garden with basil and mint and the little stuff out back with the longan tree. Me & my wife once went to jamie oliver restaurant in Bali out of curiosity. The ravioli tasted like rubber and the pizza tasted like raw dough. I cant believe that guy tried to cook asian food while he cant even cook western food2💀
The investors in Oliver's restaurants had to eat £80 million in losses, which is just an astonishing figure. Chili jam in rice is nothing compared to that.
There was a Jamie Oliver restaurant at the Vienna airport and I tried it out of curiosity and I was so angry, I wasted my pre flight breakfast on this tasteless food even though I saw nobody was sitting there. We have some really good restaurants at the Vienna airport and luckily next time I went there the Jamie Oliver was replaced with something better too.

I live in Mobile AL and I have banana trees, my neighbors are Nigerian and they use them in their cooking as well but they don't steal them, they politely ask if they can have a few.
