great job! I've been adding the sardines to it as well. I'm very happy with this bait. I'm glad you're having good luck with this bait. Thanks for watching!
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
Man! I love your channel! I used your catfish rig (with the bank sinker on bottom, hook on top, with a leader) and your chicken liver chum bait. Today was the first day using it after making it 3 days ago. (I wasn't able to hit the water until this morning) and that stuff rocks! They werent biting worms or stink bait, so i tried your bait amd the results were out of this world! Caught a whole mess of flatheads and 3 big ol' turtles lol
Tried your chicken liver chum bait today. It was one of the best days of fishing I've ever had. The fish were literally attacking the bait before it even hit the bottom. Caught about a dozen nice catfish in just a couple of hours. Thanks so much!
Me and my grandson are going fishing and we're going to try the Chicken Liver Chum Bait and the Marinated Chicken with Clam Juice and maybe Garlic Worms. Thanks Kris your videos are Awesome 👍🏽👍🏽
i would like to thank you for the awesome bait recipe.... i used this for the first time tonight and only marinated the chicken thighs in the liver sardine mixture for about 4 hours and it still killed it on the reservoir.... caught 4 fat bull heads and 3 channel cats in a hour and a half.... i used such less bait conserding how well the thighs stay on the hook compared to traditionally using chicken livers alone.... i even caught three cats on the same bait but of course i dipped it back into the marinade after each catch...
Chris, I tried your chum/chicken and then i used the whole can of sardins, what i found was the sardin bits drew small bait fish and the big fish followed. go stuff.
I tried some of this chicken liver chum bait, and it really works good. The first 20 minutes caught a catfish, so thanks for sharing this recipe it really did pay off.
Finally got a chance to try this stuff out. Modified the recipe a bit. Omitted the sardines as I didn't have any, and added a little canola oil and granulated garlic. The garlic improved the smell to more tolerable levels. Started off with nugget sized chunks, and caught nothing but turtles. After 2 hours of nothing, made strips about the size of crawlers. Threaded them on and hammered the cats for an hour. Couldn't keep 2 poles in the water and down sized to a single. By far the best bait.
Made this bait for the first time and used it today. Worked great, thanks for the info and all of your videos. This is now my favorite bait. Keep it up.
I tried this stuff out on Sunday when fishing on the Arkansas River in Little Rock. This stuff definitely attracts fish, and my pole was going crazy. Bad thing was that either the hole I was fishing in had a bunch of small catfish, or I made the mistake by using a size 3/0 circle hook with a rod and reel rig. I'm going to try using an octopus hook next time. Also, this stuff was super messy, but hey it works! I also used smoked herring in oil instead of sardines, and i just dumped it all into the liver smoothie. I made 24 small-to-medium sized chunks for under $5.
Yes. I usually make several containers of this bait and freeze them for future use. When I get to my fishing spot they are usually still frozen so /i use them just like that.
I've added garlic powder to it and it worked quite well. Not sure if one worked better than the other. That's something I'll have to do a little more research on.
Hate to sound like a fanboy, but i keep being impressed with your fishing tips. This was an awesome review for making chicken liver chum bait and i will definitely give it a shot. Thanks again dude.
Just a suggestion you could try to keep the chicken liver/sardine oil flavor on the actual bait longer. You could use one of those flavor syringes to inject the chicken chunks with with the liver/sardine blend.
works awesome!!!!!been using chick liver all my life works good but pain to keep on hook. Caught 3 fish last night on 1 piece of chicken just keep dipping it back in chum
I'm making this recipe right now & going to try it on several spots now that the rivers are perfect & filled with cats. Nueses river that is. Down south San Antonio, a little city named "Crystal City , Tx." I'll keep you posted with pictures & who knows we might even catch mermaids with this great chum bait. Thanks for sharing bro.
I do the same thing except I add a bottle of texas pete and just fish with the liver, of course I saw wal mart is selling fish oil in the tackle section now so i may try replacing sardines with that this year,i drop some cheese hot dogs in the mix to they seem to like them to, have added garlic powder in the past but didn't really seem to make a difference one way or the other.
Love your channel man!!! Im a novice fisherman and watching your channel has helped me tons!!! I use the Chicken Liver Chum Bait and it works to perfection! I did make one change tho. Instead of chicken breast i bought the chicken gizzerds and hearts. I found them to stay on my hook a bit longer. Thanks for everything keep up the amazing videos bro!!!!
Just now made some of your chum bait. A group of us will be using it this weekend on the Pecos River. Thanks for providing us with great info and awesome fishing videos! (^_^)
I started fishing again for 3weeks now and havnt cought anything this past Friday I went ahead and made this bait and I can tell you what this really does work I would just toss my line in and in a matter of 2-3 minutes they are tugging at it but you really do have to wait at least 2 days ha
I made this bait last friday. I changed it a littke and did two cans of sardines and added tge sardines instead of just the oil. And chunked up about ten small chicken breast. Went to the lake with it 3 hours later and caught ten good cgannel cats. The biggest was 30 inches and tge rest all in mid 20's. Great idea. Also this was a spot I have never fished before and all the catfish were the biggest channel cats I have ever caught. Thanks for the video
Hey muddyrivercatfishing, another excellent video and hands on. I am getting the ingrediants along with a blender and gonna give this a try. Will get back to ya on the results. Again thanks
muddyrivercatfishing Well we gave it a shot.On the first day I caught 4 cats in about 1 hour. Yesterday I did a test Secret 7 vs- CLCB(Chicken Liver Chum Bait). I was fishing in the Yellowstone River from the bank with some fairly fast current( used 3ounce bank weight). Secret 7 =0. CLCB = 9. We were catching Channel Cats that were weighing 2-5 pounds and when they were hitting that CLCB you would of thought ya had a BIG CAT on. MuddyRiver the only thing I did was I let it kinda dry out so it wasnt so liquidy and I was totally impressed with your bait. Its the bait I will be using till they dont want it anymore lol. THANK YOU..
+muddyrivercatfishing hey man I have a question the hot dog do they really work I try it and did not man I dont know want do I did wrong can u tell me if is true?
Romeo M I recently marinated hotdogs with applecider vinager garlic and garlic powder. i was able to catch in the first cast. ended up with 6 cats in less than an hr. but this wad in a channel. dont know how it would work in a pond or river
My local lake is known to always have catfish in it. Ive tried many "catfish baits" like the ones they sell pre packaged (ie powerbait catfish, wild cat blood, packaged scented shad) with no luck. Cant wait to give this a try. I made my own little batch of your recipe and cant wait to try it tomorrow. Along with my chicken chunks I threw in halved chicken hearts too. I made sure to puncture the chicken as well as the hearts with a fork to they could better absorb the liver/sardine oil mixture. Will keep updated. Wish me luck!!!... Awesome videos btw...I subbed :)
I use chicken pieces because they stay on the hook better than regular chicken livers. Try using a Mustad C10829 Ultra Point™ Big Gun Catfish Hook. I use a 4/0 and my chicken chunks are at least 1" by 1" cubes or bigger. You can see how big my bait is on the trotline video I just posted. Hope this helps.
I made this bait also took some chicken and soaked it in red strawberry jello. i took them both to a local river and they both caught fish but I have to say the chum bait out fished the jello chicken. I caught two turtles on the jello chicken and none on the chum bait. I caught a lot of catfish on this bait so give it a try. I will be using it from here on out. Thanks.
muddyrivercatfishing what do you use to get the stink bait texture and consistency? I got garlic, sardine oil, queso sincho, and chicken blood, but I don't know how to get the secret seven texture/thickness
muddyrivercatfishing Hey chris this bait just isnt good for catfish, its good for gar too. i live in quinlan texas near tawakoni and caught me 2 nice eating size gar and about 5 or 6 channel and blue cats
so it's been a while since I've posted but I want to thank you again for the chicken liver Chum bait recipe.. with your Baseline recipe+ shad+garlic+catfish nectar it has proven to be one of the deadliest catfish baits I've ever used
Hey Patrick! I've never been able to fish in the Mississippi but I am very curious as to what your results will be. Please keep me posted! Thanks for subscribing.
Hello kriss this is my favorite chum bait ever I used it every single time I go fishing and it works so well with small or big cats thx so much Kriss I always watching your videos to get more ideas and when are you coming to Chicago we have some nice cats in our rivers and lakes
Thanks! And you have some great ideas as well. I just enjoy sharing my knowledge and together we can create new ideas! Try that out and let me know how it works for you, Thanks for watching!
I've never tried gizzards. I use meat because it absorbs the blood and oils and distributes them slowly while you are fishing. Not sure how much blood the gizzards would absorb. Uncle Steve did a video comparing chicken livers to gizzards. He caught all of his fish on liver and none on the gizzards.
Just found your page....I am going to try making this, but I had a thought. before soaking the bait chunks I wonder if you could take a marinade injector and also inject your chunks. That might be interesting to try, then you would have a resivoir of chum on the inside that would seep from the injection site. Just a thought. Wado, good fishing to you.
I made a few batches of this bait and have to say I have slayed the channel catfish on it. I also noticed that I've made 3 batches and 2 of them after 3-5 days started to develop a pretty rough scent and that bait was way more effective than the 3rd batch that for some reason had a very neutral scent to it. When you are using this bait does yours typically have a pretty strong scent?
Hey I see you're still working the comments on this. I also seen you did one with a clam juice but didn't notice that video until after I made this. Been using it for 2 weeks now and did an experiment as well. I did one with just sardine oil and another with the oil and the sardines. Nothing touched the oil only and the sardine one got hammered! Going to try it in a lake next week.
+Robert Ford I wonder what the sardines would do as bait? I imagine it's like the jackmackerel I used to eat as a kid, all crumby etc. But what if you made a bait sack like we do for liver?
What is the purpose of not adding the sardines? Seems it would help hold the scent longer. Also, would it help to "poke holes" in chicken to absorb more of the chum? I'm looking for the most effective way to get the scent into the water. Thanks a million for the chum bait info.
Just an idea, but what if you take some of the liquid chum, freeze it into say, golf ball size pieces, and toss them around the area where you're going to be fishing. Wouldn't that act as sort of an attractant and bring in more fish to where you have your baited hook(s), thereby increasing your chances of getting bites? Just wondering what your thoughts are to this idea.
+trevor donley make sure to keep it refrigerated or you can make a few batches and freeze it. If you keep it cool while you're out fishing you can freeze it again and use it on the next trip.
yea good advice im ready for the spring but sadly just got 4 inchs of snow today so ive got a bit of a wait left im thinking of making a dough bait from your liver chum and some blood sausage maybe some ground meal worms as well but im sure going to try your bait i fish shallow slow moving rivers so should perform pretty well
We were using this bait yesterday and my daughter got a bite so big that it pulled her rod right out of the boat and into the water. It'll be on a bloopers video that I've been working on. Thanks for watching!
Hey Chris how long does each batch last? In average anyway. If it starts to "turn" does it work any better or worse? I Have made this and did Great in a decent sized lake. Thanks Bud. Was just wondering if it is "Best Fresh Only".? Ya know??
I like this idea, however i would probably dough bait it. And add some fiber to the mix to stay in a bag, dough hook or sponge. The dough will constantly melt and release that scent. Got some left over chicken liver, think i will go get the rest and have it ready for this weekend, great tip!!
Awesome bait! After it sits in the fridge I took an ice cube tray and stuck a piece of meat in every cube opening and poured the "chum juice" around it. Leave a good chunk of meat uncovered to hook then freeze it. Throw it in the cooler and take fishing. Seems to make the chum effect last a bit longer but it's also not hot yet so not sure how useful it will be summer time.
thanks kriss.. ive tried it last week.. it works.. really appreciate it.. just wondering can i add a pieace of garlic into the liver chumm.. have u tried it..
ive tried putting garlic to my worms.. but it failed coz all the worms died.. huhuhu maybe coz my worms are much much smaller than your night crawlers.. anyway thanx bro.. the chicken liver chum works...
Is it better to use fresh chicken or does it work better if its past date? And does the amount of time you let it all sit together make a difference or improve the product?
I've been trying this chum a couple of weeks now they bite like crazy but never get hooked I'm fishing in a small lake in a park here in Phoenix Arizona gonna try to take this to a real Lake and see what happens I'll keep you posted thanks for the videos I've learned a lot keep making awesome videos and I'll keep watching
+Anna Lopez I am gonna learn you today Anna. Ok so what do magicians and anglers have in common? they never reveal their secrets specially fishing spots.
Hey Kris, I'm a California fisher and like to fish in the aqueduct. I usually use cut bait, but do you think the chicken liver chum would work in the aqueduct? Thanks for the video also!
+muddyrivercatfishing Went out fishing tonight at the Aqueduct using the Chicken Liver Chum. Not a single bite :( I had real high hopes cause of the smell alone. I'm going to give it another try fishing in the early AM's. Will get back to you on that also.
I've been using this bait for over a year now. It is my go to bait for catfish and it works awesome for me. Thanks for posting this! Do you have any tips for making hook removal easier? I use circle hooks and sometimes even when hooked perfectly in the corner of the mouth have a tough time removing the hook. Only with cats though, I never have any trouble with any other species. Any advice? I suppose I could crimp the barb?
I used this with powdered oatmeal to make it thicker and put it in my crawfish traps went from 10-15 a trap to 20+ I put it in an old prescription pill bottle with holes just for the scent and a small piece of chicken to keep them eating work great thanks
I'm deffenly ganna make some being its summer time and I'm going to the lake Fri and Sat all summer as the funds come in on my fishing group. can't weight to try this thanks man. god bless.
does it matter if it turns a little green? my freezer quit and had to get a new 1, is my bait still usable or should I pitch it and make another batch, I haven't tried it yet
Trying out your chum idea i got sardines in soybean oil. Chicken livers and beef livers in a 20 oz. Pop bottle with rocks. Im gonna throw it out on a string with holes in the bottle and fish with live and cut bait shad. Ill let you know how it goes. It smells good to me and the Cat started circleing me as i was making it. Im going for anything i can catch but the place im going is known for big Lake trout Burbot. Channel cats and Walleye and Pike. Im in Michigan and its Dec. 31st. I'll repost after tomorrow let you know how i did. Thanks dude i been following your videos for awhile.
at least 24 hours, but I've had bait that I've taken on several fishing trips. As long as you keep it on ice so that it doesn't spoil it will last for a long time
hopefully gonna be going to santee here in SC this weekend.....ill let you know how we do......not sure how to send pics but will do.....gonna try this bait out
great job! I've been adding the sardines to it as well. I'm very happy with this bait. I'm glad you're having good luck with this bait. Thanks for watching!
You're awesome Chris.. You ever fish the Horseshoe spillway in Arizona?
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Elliot Hank instablaster =)

You seem like a good man and a good father. Thanks for your videos!
Your welcome sweetheart.
Me and my grandson are going fishing and we're going to try the Chicken Liver Chum Bait and the Marinated Chicken with Clam Juice and maybe Garlic Worms. Thanks Kris your videos are Awesome 👍🏽👍🏽
That's an amazing story! Glad it worked out for you.
I tried this bait on my over night camping/fishing trip, it worked great. We landed 4 good size eating cats at lake tawakoni. Great video bud!
i would like to thank you for the awesome bait recipe.... i used this for the first time tonight and only marinated the chicken thighs in the liver sardine mixture for about 4 hours and it still killed it on the reservoir.... caught 4 fat bull heads and 3 channel cats in a hour and a half.... i used such less bait conserding how well the thighs stay on the hook compared to traditionally using chicken livers alone.... i even caught three cats on the same bait but of course i dipped it back into the marinade after each catch...
used this with my neice this weekend, she ended up hooking into a 27 inch channel cat! this is one great bait
I'm glad it worked for you!
I've used this bait many times. I highly recommend it
Thanks for the compliment! I'm glad the bait is working out for you!
I tried this bait today at the Rio Grande in Belen, NM. this bait kicks ass. caught 3 catfish in 20 minutes or so. thanks for the recipe.
glad it worked for you!
I might have to try this sometime. Thanks for the idea!
Keep it up.
John Greene Glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching!
Yes, the advice on injecting a little in each piece is the way to go
works awesome!!!!!been using chick liver all my life works good but pain to keep on hook.
I do the same thing except I add a bottle of texas pete and just fish with the liver, of course I saw wal mart is selling fish oil in the tackle section now so i may try replacing sardines with that this year,i drop some cheese hot dogs in the mix to they seem to like them to, have added garlic powder in the past but didn't really seem to make a difference one way or the other.
been using this since u first made this video and i gotta say its one of the best baits ive used
Thanks! I'm glad it's working for you!
Thank you! I'll be making videos as often as I can!
Love your videos... Going to try this bait on my next fishing trip. Keep those videos coming. Good job!!

Thank you Arturo! I'm glad you found my videos helpful! Thanks for your support as well!
Oh I've got to try this next time I go fishing, you sir are a genius.
Just now made some of your chum bait. A group of us will be using it this weekend on the Pecos River. Thanks for providing us with great info and awesome fishing videos! (^_^)
***** let me know how it goes and feel free to post your pics on my facebook page
Love the videos. Decided to make your bait for my next fishing trip. So excited to use this bait. Wish me luck.
good luck!

yes is the most fast and easy to make I try it for the first time and is great I got a monster catfish 25 pounds tks man u are the best.
great job on the 25lber!
+muddyrivercatfishing yea it was crazy the good ting that I have a 65bls test spider wire I trust that line like noting els man I recommended.
+muddyrivercatfishing hey man I have a question the hot dog do they really work I try it and did not man I dont know want do I did wrong can u tell me if is true?

Just made some. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the informative videos!
That's great! Thanks for taking the time to try it out!

I caught two turtles on the jello chicken and none on the chum bait. I caught a lot of catfish on this bait so give it a try. I will be using it from here on out. Thanks.
made it today and used it same day man it works thx keep the videos coming great job
thanks!
muddyrivercatfishing what do you use to get the stink bait texture and consistency? I got garlic, sardine oil, queso sincho, and chicken blood, but I don't know how to get the secret seven texture/thickness

Could you put the sardines in there also?
Hey Patrick! I've never been able to fish in the Mississippi but I am very curious as to what your results will be. Please keep me posted! Thanks for subscribing.

I'm glad it's working for you brother! I'd love to fish in the windy city some day. Thanks for watching!
I usually use lives, but this looks amazing! I'm gonna give it a try! Awesome video man!
I haven't tried using it as a sponge bait. Let me know how it works. Thanks for the idea!
Thanks man for your video . learned a lot. I will try that bait mixture. Again thanks reggie
Thanks! And you have some great ideas as well. I just enjoy sharing my knowledge and together we can create new ideas! Try that out and let me know how it works for you, Thanks for watching!
I'm going to give it a go see how it works in these Arizona lakes.
Will chicken gizzards and harts work well for this?
You sir are a cat fishing god... lol
Anybody would be a catfish God where he fishes
I've never tried gizzards. I use meat because it absorbs the blood and oils and distributes them slowly while you are fishing. Not sure how much blood the gizzards would absorb. Tight lines.
TheSlightlyHomosexualFeminist first time I've heard that one hahaha!
TheSlightlyHomosexualFeminist Remind me to be nice to him. LOL
TheSlightlyHomosexualFeminist hahaha
how did u do on ur fishing trip
I don't live near the ocean so I haven't been able to try it. I'm very curious how my chicken liver chum bait would work in the ocean.

On rod and reel I usually use a 4/0 Mustad octopus or catfish hook. On a trotline I use a 6/0 or 7/0 circle hook
Hey I see you're still working the comments on this. I also seen you did one with a clam juice but didn't notice that video until after I made this. +Allen Howe I don't know I think you would get a lot more depending on where you fish. Here the eels would tear that up before that catfish got to it.
+Robert Ford interesting. Thanks for sharing!
I tried your bait today and it was awesome. Thank you!!!!

Wouldn't that act as sort of an attractant and bring in more fish to where you have your baited hook(s), thereby increasing your chances of getting bites? Just wondering what your thoughts are to this idea.
Yes. I freeze this bait all the time. I also keep it on ice while I am fishing with it. otherwise it can start to smell really bad.
ill be giving this a shot once the season breaks thanks for sharing
+trevor donley make sure to keep it refrigerated or you can make a few batches and freeze it. If you keep it cool while you're out fishing you can freeze it again and use it on the next trip.
yea good advice im ready for the spring but sadly just got 4 inchs of snow today so ive got a bit of a wait left im thinking of making a dough bait from your liver chum and some blood sausage maybe some ground meal worms as well but im sure going to try your bait i fish shallow slow moving rivers so should perform pretty well
Season? We don't have any season where I live. Lmao.
Ya know??
Out of all the baits you've made and used which one would you say is your number one go to bait?
Hey Kris do you ever use the marinating needle on this like the clam marinated chicken.
Hey Kris would this work the same if you where to use to whole can of sardines??rather than just the oil
Great stuff Chris. Love all you videos. Brian
I like this idea, however i would probably dough bait it. And add some fiber to the mix to stay in a bag, dough hook or sponge. The dough will constantly melt and release that scent. Got some left over chicken liver, think i will go get the rest and have it ready for this weekend, great tip!!
Thanks for the compliment!
I've never tried it while pier fishing, but I'm sure the bait will have the same effect. If you try it, let me know how it works for you. Thanks!
Thanks for making these videos. They're very informative and good quality
I haven't tried anything other than chicken. That would be a good experiment. Let me know how it works!
+keleng husen yes, garlic works too. I'm glad it worked for you!
ive tried putting garlic to my worms.. but it failed coz all the worms died.. huhuhu maybe coz my worms are much much smaller than your night crawlers.. anyway thanx bro.. the chicken liver chum works...
I can't stop saying "chicken liver chum bait"!
say it 5 times fast
Hahaha
Is it better to use fresh chicken or does it work better if its past date? And does the amount of time you let it all sit together make a difference or improve the product?
I've been trying this chum a couple of weeks now they bite like crazy but never get hooked I'm fishing in a small lake in a park here in Phoenix Arizona gonna try to take this to a real Lake and see what happens I'll keep you posted thanks for the videos I've learned a lot keep making awesome videos and I'll keep watching

hello Kris love your visa but quick question dose it matter if the chicken is a little rotten or dose it matter?
Hey Kris, I'm a California fisher and like to fish in the aqueduct. I usually use cut bait, but do you think the chicken liver chum would work in the aqueduct? Thanks for the video also!
+LaoEggroll it should work just fine. Give it a try and let me know. Thanks!
+muddyrivercatfishing Went out fishing tonight at the Aqueduct using the Chicken Liver Chum. Not a single bite :(
I had real high hopes cause of the smell alone. I'm going to give it another try fishing in the early AM's. Will get back to you on that also.
LaoEggroll curious to know how that turned out!
Just made a batch of muddy river catfishing chicken liver chum bait! Very eager to try it. I will let u know my results!
LeeRoy Lawrence You gonna fry it up or bar-be-q it? LOL
Raw cause I'm that good!
LeeRoy Lawrence Ewwwwwwww lol!
Marty Mac I see you everywhere in the comment section...
landon frazier Yes and.......?
Thanks this helped me a lot I'm going fishing next week and I'm going to make tons of this bait
I used this with powdered oatmeal to make it thicker and put it in my crawfish traps went from 10-15 a trap to 20+ I put it in an old prescription pill bottle with holes just for the scent and a small piece of chicken to keep them eating work great thanks
I'm deffenly ganna make some being its summer time and I'm going to the lake Fri and Sat all summer as the funds come in on my fishing group. can't weight to try this thanks man. god bless.
does it matter if it turns a little green? my freezer quit and had to get a new 1, is my bait still usable or should I pitch it and make another batch, I haven't tried it yet
ama have to trt this. how good are the dip baits??
just curious but since the sardines are still fish... couldnt you blend them too?
+Jeffrey Wellman yes, it works just as good, just make sure to keep the bait cool at all times or it will begin to smell horrible
Thanks dude i been following your videos for awhile.
se uede usar aceite de aceituna. Es el aciete que tienen las sardinas
Will be try this chum bait out the Friday thanks for the tip
might try adding some egg yarn we use up washington to sponge the chum up and help with hookups. yarn tends to get stuck in the small teeth
I just made some of the chicken liver chum bait and taking it to Oklahoma this weekend and try it at lake murray
Marcos Rodriguez let me know how it works for you
at least 24 hours, but I've had bait that I've taken on several fishing trips. As long as you keep it on ice so that it doesn't spoil it will last for a long time
quick question... why dont you grind up the sardines also? wouldnt that give more scent?
hopefully gonna be going to santee here in SC this weekend.....ill let you know how we do......not sure how to send pics but will do.....gonna try this bait out
