I tried the 54 and it’s definitely not too small on my 6.5 wrist. I think as a 1 watch collection the 54 is perfect. However, if you have a multiple watch collection, you may want something with a little more spice because for all its goodness, the 54 is a very boring looking watch at least when compared to the 58. Unlike the 54, the 58 is not an exact replica of back catalog Tudor, it is its own thing. The gilted bezel adds a nice warmth and harmony with the gold on the dial, the red triangle harkens back to the Rolex Big Crown and serves to break up the monotony of the watch. I also find the more refined coin edge bezel and matching crown very elegant. It is a very special watch that isn’t an exact replica.
Thanks for the insightful comment. I agree that the BB54 looks simple compared to some other diver watches. I believe you're right that the original BB58 was inspired by the vintage Tudor 7924.
I am all about the smaller sizes, even though I still own an Omega SMP 300M, IWC Pilot's Chronograph 41, and Black Bay Pro. My GS SBGW 287 (37.3mm x 44.3mm), DJ 36, Tank Must Large, and NOMOS club campus 36 Cream Coral all wear absolutely amazing and I am totally sold on these sizes. I want to add the Explorer 36 into the collection as well to have a pure tool watch in that size since my others are on the dressier side. I tried on the BB54 a few weeks ago and was blown away buy it. Absolutely stunning piece.
@OneManReviews thanks so much man! You have an incredible collection as well! Keep up the great videos! I'd love to see more small watch content from the youtubers.
Just adding my 2 cents. I have a 6538. It is an easy decision between a 54 and 58. I would say decide via wrist size but also which vintage. The BB58 is the closest you will get to the Bond 6538 big crown today where the 54 is the small crown. I would base my decision on those two aspects. BB54 does not fit like its vintage but does represent it. The 58 is pretty darn close to fit and feel.
I literally have 4 out of 5 of these. Went with Pelagos 39 instead of the 54. By the way, got a blue nubuck and taupe alligator straps from recent Delug sale. Both 19 mm to go with the 231 (taupe) and Tank (blue). Completely changed their personality for the warm weather. And interchangeable among themselves, too. Just some ideas. Cheers.
Wow. That's so cool. The Pelagos 39 is a fantastic watch! I got the taupe strap from Delugs for my Tank and it's much better than the original Cartier strap.
Great list! PRX is definitely a great choice for small wrists. BB54 probably a bit larger. Tank definitely small. I love Nomos but can’t decide which one to get next!
i got a chunky wrist, and i must say the smaller size tudor sports watches work amazing on my wrist also good call on the nomos, i got the tangente limited edition and it's been wonderful
Funny... having a 6 inch wrist... bb54, tank must, and sbgw231/301 has been on my list. Doesnt hurt that tank must and 301 share 19mm lug width. Will the tank must bracelet fit 231/301?
I have a CW63 36mm. I really like it - quick adjust bracelet (ah..). I think my Seiko SNKL wears well. I've just come across ( it gets few reviews) the Hamilton jazzmaster performer 34mm - yes, it's marketed 'for the ladies' but seems an alternative to the Longines Conquest 34mm , which , apart from the silver dial, isn't for me. Of course, a vintage watch would be unbeatable ( but that Seiko..), but not for the beach, or even Jack Frost.
Thanks. Those are some very interesting suggestions. I haven't had a chance to have my hands on the CW63 36mm yet. But it looks like a very cool watch.
Hello neighbor. This was a great topic and a review. I think your grand Seiko is stunning! My favorite small watches that I own is the Pelagos 39 and Ranger. Cheers
Thanks, man. But unfortunately it wan't mine GS featured. I really like this model and still thinking of adding it to my collection some day. The Pelagos and Ranger are great watches!

I think the Tudor can be the only watch you'll ever need. I would probably like to see a date window, though.

Thanks! Glad you liked the video. My favourite Nomos watches are the Club Campus and Ludwig.

May I ask u a weird q about ur GS 231 does yours have crown resistance where the crown slips back as you wind the main spring tighter?

I would like the Nomos a lot more if the lugs wouldn't be so overly long.
Agree.
True but without the long lugs also wouldn’t make Nomos special 😂
非常好的評論,謝謝.
