    They're also 100% made in the good ol US of A! They're up there in Maine with Looms making the fabric and everything. Amazing stuff they're doing. Supporting American manufacturing. Those guys train Jiu Jitsu and put a ton of heart and soul into their products. Love the review! I just ordered the black one last night and super excited for it to come in! Thanks for the Review! You can Trim those longer threads. Its the end of the Lock Stitch so it wont come undone. It feels lighter because its not 100% cotton like every Gi on the market. We spent years working with different Yarns to engineer our own Proprietary performance Origin PolySynth yarn. Its stronger then cotton Gi's yet Lighter. Again thanks for the review.

    Hey just wanted to give a tip on keeping the drawstring pants tied while rolling. Instead of tying them directly under your belly button, offset all the way to the loop near either hip. Now tie your knot with that loop in the middle of the square knot youll make. Itll never come undone. Its even a bit difficult to untie after class. Thanks for the review of this origin gi. I might wcoop one.

    You might have been better served with an A1 top based on your preference. Maybe when their Raptor comes out? 😊 Maybe you can reach out and ask about shrink rate on their upcoming Raptor in case you decide to try out an A1? My Nano in white is coming in soon! Already have the original DEF and 10th Aniversary Axiom both A2 in black. Im also 5'8" and hovering around 170 lbs (for those curious). I feel like even I could have gone with an A1 jacket at times.
    I just think of my GIs like cars/trucks. Choose from your garage based on ride height, suspension, tires depending on the route/journey to the destination.
    If I'm feeling sporty, I'll wear something fitted, close to the shorter end of the range (A1/A1L/A2 shrunken depending on brands). If I'm feeling adventurous, I'll wear something heavier and closer to the longer end (A1H/A2S/A2).

    For pants do you order your normal pants size or do you measure your waist? Most pants sizes IME fit different than an actual waist measurement, i.e. if I measure my waist it's 36-37" however size 34 pants almost always fit me, and 36 are way too big. I don't know if that's clothing makers flattering their customers or if I don't understand how to measure or what, but this has always been the case IME.
    I’m confused by their sizing chart too, which says I’m an A3 the only other A3 gi I own is too big for me. I am 5'10 ~190.

    • @Jiujitsu.pilgrim
      @Jiujitsu.pilgrim  Год назад

      For me it was normal waist size but to be honest, they’re a tiny bit snug. That said, my wife says I have a dump truck back there. A2 fits me really well but my buddy picked up an A3 and had to get the sleeves tailored. I’m short and stout like a tree stump, so I probably have very different sizing issues from you.

    Black belt here; great review bro. I love Origin for the same reasons you said. Although, I do just order the basic pants because I don't like the pro pants. I would say the biggest issue is getting IBJJF to allow us to compete in Origin gis. I've had to change my gi several times in competition because of some "issue" with origins "weave" etc.

    • @Jiujitsu.pilgrim
      @Jiujitsu.pilgrim  Год назад +3
